I was excited to hear this, but it was pretty ordinary

High 4 Thought it would be boring and repetitive - no! Guess I do like music “like this”.

Really liked it for awhile, but it got too repetitive

Ass against rock

Jacques Brel meets the Magnetic Fields = my kind of music

The first side of this album was a 5, but the second was just a 4

3 at best. This was boring AND put me in a bad mood (but I love The Cure prior to 1987) 🙁

This is difficult to take, though I like the two well-known songs. It’s not that the quality is bad, it’s just so boring to me and interminable

Creative and interesting; could be objectively a five but has too much rap for me

At first I thought I didn’t like it because a) I like interesting words and b) I’m not into heavy or aggressive music, but it never bothered me and upon second listen I realized I liked it. I like post-punk, I like repetition, they remind me at times of throbbing gristle, on one song of Nirvana, of No Wave in one spot, and I found them easy to listen to and sort of comforting, though maybe not interesting per se.

Love the hits but the album was just ok. New wave often feels dated

Wasn’t that terrible, but not my jam, uninteresting to me

I enjoy listening to it and I’m glad, it shows my tastes are expanding

Chameleons was good but too long, then the rest of the album was too short! Watermelon Man was great.
