What a ride. Funny, sad, made me roll my eyes, made me nostalgic all at the same time. Three Great Alabama Icons was arresting in a way I haven’t experienced in so long. Will definitely listen again

Not my favorite Dylan but a lot of good stuff! Stand outs are Mr. Tambourine Man,Love Minus Zero, and Baby Blue. Sometimes I tune out in the long songs but who’s to blame me

I struggled paying attention and getting through the longer songs, but it was cool to see rainy day dream away in context. I also liked the atmospheric stuff and feel like it would have been so cool to see live. Excited to listen to more Hendrix

Billy joel but worse imo

What can I say, this album blew my mind the first time I heard it back in college. I was going through my uncle’s vinyl’s. He passed from AIDS in the early 90’s, several years before I was born. Listening to his music was a way for me to get closer to him. I have a lot to say about this album—Gimmie Three Steps spoke to me under a queer listening, imaging myself flirting with some guy’s girlfriend. I can see a queer country reworking of that song in modern day and I always love singing along when it comes on. You can’t bring up Lynyrd Skynyrd and not talk about the Confederate flag and feud with Nike Young. I think the Drive-By Truckers did an excellent job examining this in their album Southern Rock Opera, getting to the root of “the southern thing” and how politicians weaponize racist symbols and policies to divide a region where nearly everyone’s neck is under the same boot. The real southern thing is seeding division among the people and breaking class solidarity so that everyone can be exploited—and I think the finger pointing that comes from northerners is just a hammer in that toolbox.

I prefer it takes a nation of millions, I think, but loved this one as well.

I only really liked one song from this album. This guy just sounds like guyliner embodied. He’s great at what he does but it’s just really not for me

I don’t think he really protected yoko with this work and can see why the world came for her, although I am a yoko ono apologist. Imagine is one of the corniest songs ever but has done a lot of good, I think

This felt like if we didn’t start the fire, schoolhouse rock and public enemy had a baby. I like political hip hop but it was a bit too much for me and not enough musical chops. I would have preferred to read an essay by him. Some did make me giggle but the rhymes weren’t there imo

Really loved so much of this album but it didn’t blow me away the way that mama’s gun did. I think maybe all the hype around it set my expectations really high. I think perhaps the album was too long for me and if it were condensed it would have stuck more. But a lot of really great bangers

Honestly, I liked this a lot more than I thought, and liked it better on a second listening. All the sampling is sort of weird and annoying to me personally but the downbeat change in organ donor made my jaw drop and immediately start the song over like 4 separate times

I think I’ve grown out of this a lot, there are a few songs that still hit but the songwriting sort of feels like miss rachel (like happy and sad). Pageant material and same trailer different park are way better imo. She also just sings like she’s laying down on a couch but not in a good way, like diva try to put a little more edge in your voice. But this is the supermarket music I like ig

To take a note from the album, you shouldn’t do that. Don’t make me listen to a 2 hour live album under any circumstances. And the songs are way too long and make no sense. The space crap is also just not my thing at all. Would give it a 1.5 if I could. Not totally unlistenable tho so a 2.

I don’t normally like live albums, but this is insane. The transition between bring it on home and nothing can change this love I feel is absolutely electric. I have a feeling this concert would change my life in 1963

Music like this makes me consider the reality that perhaps men can feel the full spectrum of human emotion. 4.5
