Needed this one to come up and remind me what an actual 6 star album sounds like.
Not the most original opinion for this to be one of my favourite albums ever made I know, but it has to be up there.
Every song builds off of the pageantry of the last, building a sprawling epic that maturely explores some deeply existential themes. The one-two punch of Time into Great Gig in the Sky in particular elevates me out of my chair. Only to pull you back into the retail addicted monotony of our modern day-to-day lives with the excellent Money.
This sounds great, people need to open themselves up to weirder sounds more. Especially the production of the music from Regiment, Help Me Somebody and The Jezebel Spirit, very danceable, infectiously so.
I like these weirder albums. I should’ve given The Modern Dance a better chance.
