The cumulation of Muse's career up to this point is a ridiculous, overdramatic, guitar-hero spaghetti-western space-opera called Knights of Cydonia. I'll be damned if they didn't nail it. 4/5

I just learned his son is Sal Masekela and I just watched Sal call Bob Burnquist's legendary X-games vert run which occurred 25 years ago this month. Anyway, this doesn't reach the highs of a Bob Burnquist blunt kickflip to fakie but it's pretty good 4/5

I don't really want to like Lennon but like I can't deny this is pretty good. 3.5/5

The album's rep makes me want to rate it higher but there are too many songs that I'm not interested in. Though, this did make my best album art list. 3.5/5

Genuinely crazy to lead an album off with a ten minute guitar solo and end it with fart sounds, but it's still good overall. 3.5/5

I don't know what to rate this thing. There is obviously a lot of good stuff here and then there's some frat rap nonsense that I'm not real fond of. Is Brass Monkey good or has it just been locked in my head for 40 years? This is my least favorite of the early Beastie records. 3.5/5

His previous album, Freedom Flight, goes a little harder and has some electric blues feel to it. This is decent but a bit sleepier than I'd like. 3.5/5

The title track is a perfect song and I love the multitracked vocals on My Blue Tears "Go spread your blue wings Go light your blue sky And I'll shed my blue tears" 4/5

Gains a half star just for the bonus tracks on the expanded edition. "An album that drinks and swears and fights and isn't afraid to cry in public." 4.5/5

That bassline by Tina Weymouth on Cities sounds so fun to play. There's the groove she needs to hit but there all these little one or two note interludes mixed in that seem off the cuff. It's a perfect song and the rest is solid Talking Heads 4/5

This comeback album is easily LCD's least essential album and it really shouldn't be on this list. LCD Soundsystem is a band that is beloved by the musical literati for their clever musical ideas and James Murphy's thoughtful lyrics, often dipped in irony. And shit, I guess I do too, because even on their worst day I see this as a 4/5

Thinkin Bout You is an all time great song but Pyramids is where this thing really shines. A ten minute R&B saga laced with beautiful imagery and documenting a woman's journey from Cleopatra to working at the Pyramids tonight. 4.5/5

This is the second The Who album I've kinda panned now but I just don't get much out of this. 2.5/5

One of the few 100% approval rate songs and it's just the same riff for four minutes and no one really knows what he's on about except a seven nation army can't hold him back and that sounds pretty cool and I think he said he's headed to Wichita. So yeah, 4.5/5

Antony has a completely unique voice, and I love it, but on these quiet dour songs, it just does nothing for me. 3/5
