1001 Albums Summary

Unfortunately for me, I love AC/DC so goddamn much, it feels like my heart is gonna explode out of my chest, Grinch style. Wild these guys have been writing the same fucking song for 60 years and it's always dope.

Morrissey wails into a drainpipe for the best parts of this album. It's good, but at what cost?

I like Green Day, but a whole album was pushing it for me. Very similar sound from one song to the next, much like AC/DC, but I simply don't vibe as much with pop punk.

Smooth listening experience. Many songs I recognized. Dusty has a great voice.

I like the Pixies more than I like Green Day.

What can you say? Patti Smith is pretty good.

Pretty but also boring. Every track sounds basically the same. Listened once and that was probably enough.

I now know the maximum tolerable amount of Bob Dylan for me is slightly less than the entirety of this album.

People really will say just any old thing is one of the 1001 best albums of all time, won't they?

Four stars only because it's not one of my personal five star Bowie albums.

Paul Simon wrote Bridge Over Troubled Water and some fuckass put it as the first track on this album, and probably said something like, "I'm sure the rest of it won't be that good, we better frontload," and then every song on this album proceeded to be a fucking classic. Paul, you 5'5" madlad maniac genuis. I love you. Also, Art Garfunkel is there to do the singing and you can't go wrong with that.

90's drivel.

Dope as hell.

If this album cover was from the seventies, this album would have been dope prog. Alas, it's from 2008, so it's lukewarm folk music instead. It's fine.

Much to my chagrin, I continue to enjoy the Smiths.
