1001 Albums Summary

Musicianship is excellent (as you’d expect) and a number of the songs are excellent but overall let down by Waters whole hating an education system that, frankly, he and his generation were privileged to benefit from. Quite a lot of the writing around that subject feels like a parody and feels like it was written by a 14 year old.

Not my cup of tea at all so not really fair for me to review. The best I can say about it is that it’s comfortably ignore-able.

Short and sharp. High energy. Not bad.

Utterly anodyne. And her vocal style (singing around all the notes) never gets less irritating!

I’d give it a zero if I could. In all the history of music I pray that this is the low point!

Genuinely not sure what to make of this. Some of it was quite interesting but ultimately none of it was enjoyable.

This is a strange one. Didn’t get into thrash/speed metal when it started. First heard this in the late 90’s and quite enjoyed it. Not so much now. I imagine that if I listened to it more often and properly that it might go up to a 3 but ultimately not quite my taste

I love this album. I want to give it 5 but I recognise that it’s not perfect - clearly far from perfect in the eyes of of a lot of people!😂

Not the sort of music I like at all I’m afraid

Probably my favourite Led Zeppelin album but doesn’t quite have the consistency of led zep 4.

Pretty awful. Kind of figures that Kurt Cobain was a fan!

Can’t decide if this is a 3 or a 4. Some absolute classics on here but also a fair few that there’s a reason that they’re not better known

Not heard of them before but really quite liked it

Seemed reasonably interesting at first but then the same problem as all electronic music, the repetitive loops get, well, repetitive and boring.

Not perfect by any means but a really good album.

Really not sure what to make of this. It wasn’t horrible but also not great. I’d have probably given it a three but it went on too long and ultimately I couldn’t be bothered to listen to the last three songs.

Didn’t hate it didn’t love it. Ultimately it’s not really my cup of tea.

I feel bad giving this a 1. It’s not that bad but it’s not my cup of tea and I have to admit I starting to find it really irritating very quickly, I don’t know why really.

This was ok. I want to like CSN&Y but apart from the obvious there was very little on here that grabbed me.

I’m reluctant to only give this a 1 or a 2 because there’s nothing bad about it, it’s just not my cup of tea but, I did start to find it really grating after the second piece so 2 it is in afraid

Maybe I gave up too quickly. Not for me.

Feels like an album that’s trying to be clever rather than actually entertain anyone.
