Popular Reviews

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes

The sad thing is someone let this production occur. The vocals sound off key and lack volume and depth. The instruments seem to be done by 2nd graders who decided to pick up their parents instruments and started jamming. I keep imaging a real singer:Pink or Weekend singing these songs and amazing musicians playing the music. It would have a chance to give quality to this album. I do love the Album cover. In fact it looks like they did attempt to photograph one of the 2nd graders suggested to play an instrument. Unfortunately she is too embarrassed to look straight at the camera. Who can blame her.

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones

I’m starting to feel like Debbie downer on my reviews, since again a strong band name, did not impress. I was excited when I saw the tile & band. I was expecting an explosion of fun but didn’t even get a fizzle from this production. I have so many favorite Jagger songs and Rolling Stone Albums but this is one I will not recommend to others. I like Happy and Tumbling Dice but not impressed by the over all sound.... “Can’t get no Satisfaction (M.J.)

Who's Next by The Who

Oh my let me use Who’s words to say Bargain the best I ever Had”. Buying this album is the best you’ll ever buy. I lost 2 pounds listening to this album. Baba Riley had me playing air guitar, air drums, keyboard and violin. I needed water half way through due to beltimg out the words to so many - so loud! My goodness what a piece of art from the 1st track to last. This is what a masterpiece sounds like . Belisamo!

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails

Again not worth listening to. Liked the beat for Closer but did not appreciate the lyrics. There’s another Pass from this gal.

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake

What a hidden gem. Drake is so talented and tasked at the same time . He seems so sad. The music is so beautiful I almost wanted to here only the acoustics. I read up his background and see he is another short lived artist. Had many favorites: River Man, Three Hours, Cello . The eery line from Fruit Tree tells it all “They’ll all know that you were here when you’re gone” So very true Nick

Rio by Duran Duran
Jan 15 2021

Favorite track:Hungry Like the Wolf, favorite musician: Drummer. I felt at times they could have gone higher or lower to gain more depth. But lots of Duran Duran follows after this album, so who am I to critique an oldie but goodie.

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Jan 20 2021

“Can’t stop till I get enough... of Michael Jackson Too familiar with his later work which was much better

If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian
Jan 21 2021

This album was unknown to me,but I am a newbie to listening to an album from start to finish. I feel it like is was popular in it’s time, the late 90’s. The musicians were amazing. From guitar to trumpet to harmonica, and piano, I was impressed. I loved every tracts beat and calming effect. I was disappointed in most of the lyrics. My favorites were Don’t Look Back like Dylan in the Movies and Judy Dreams of Horses. On the whimsical side, I wonder how many of this bands’ members are parents of a Wiggles band member? It reminds me of an album to get the Wiggles out for adults. Calming and peaceful.

Kings Of The Wild Frontier by Adam & The Ants
Jan 22 2021

Well that explains what started all the head bangin, body slamming dancing. Adam looks like a David Bowie wannabe but sounds like a Duran Duran groupie. Very wild beat but the words failed to move me. Even with an amazing high intensity beat. Kept losing interest a few minutes into each song. I can image Pee Wee Herman doing his high intensity workouts to this album. But am going to go with “heard it once and won’t repeat that mistake again”.I I will leave saying Adam’s most famous words “Don’t drink Don’Smoke” That is a fun dance song that the ants can go marching 1 by 1.

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Jan 25 2021

I’m starting to feel like Debbie downer on my reviews, since again a strong band name, did not impress. I was excited when I saw the tile & band. I was expecting an explosion of fun but didn’t even get a fizzle from this production. I have so many favorite Jagger songs and Rolling Stone Albums but this is one I will not recommend to others. Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Jan 26 2021

Loved it! David Bowie in the USA. From the play on words within the title I was ready to see through his eyes how America looked to a Ladd from across the pond. A beautiful cover, understandable lyrics and fun beat all worked together to make this is a great album. This is the first album I liked more that 50% of the songs. Favs were Jean Genie, Lady Grinning & AlladIn Sane. I truly enjoyed this album. He was before his time for extravagant display of art, persona and musical talent. “Ground control to Major Tom” is looking down on us all!

Kilimanjaro by The Teardrop Explodes
Jan 27 2021

Not my style nor impressed with this album. The only thing I will compliment is the album’s cover. Love the beauty in all animals and this safari setting

A Date With The Everly Brothers by The Everly Brothers
Jan 29 2021

This is a band who had so many great hits due to their lyrics; Wake up Little Susie, Cathys Clown, Dream Dream, Lucille, Till I Kissed her! So I am cutting them slack on this album of puffted put together songs. They were like The Beach Boys who too, were pushed into fast hits, fast profits $$£. I think it’s important to look at the when and why these albums were produced. My desire is qualitative not quantitative. Great acoustic and good group performances. Listen to their greatest hits and you’ll see their true talent. And in my own words”I am awake-tee hee...Suzi”

Kenya by Machito
Feb 01 2021

This is an album I swear I have heard in the background of sitcoms and movies from the 70’s and 80’s. Great trumpet and bongos! Good album to use in movies to date the times to those spicy Cuban scenes.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Feb 02 2021

Let’s see ...... no let’s not. Can’t believe this even is an album. No rhythm, no rhyme no pattern or time ... spent listening to this. Tried to be positive and pick one good song, but don’t have one to list. Do love the album jacket. There some thing positive.

For Your Pleasure by Roxy Music
Feb 03 2021

What a fun surprise this was! If Bowie & Elvis parented a child and named it Roxy this would be the genius result. The singer in Beauty Queen sounded like Elvis had entered the building. Super ziggy album cover. I feel like there were other songs they held hostage somewhere, to be released in the future, that represented the Killer Cat image. The strength of the panther totally subdued by the killer woman was so deep. Reversed power- very slick. I had several favorites: Beauty Queen, Gray Lagoon, Bogus Man, The Strand. Exceptional beat through out the album. Even if I stopped listening the the lyrics, I found myself tapping the beat. Definitely right up there with all that I enjoy of Bowie’s work. Well done Roxy.

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Feb 04 2021

Very eclectic horror. That sums it up for me. I gotta say I liked it in a strange way. Today this would have fit in with Interstellar movies. I did not like the length of the songs. I felt they were trying to burn them into my brain which was a creepy similarity to the album cover. X-ray photos of maybe Aisha’s shoes! I will keep this title in mind for Halloween or funerals. Felt a little like Def Lepered from the 70’s. Broken Sister &Aisha were my 2 favorite. And do not forget Aisha....he is a Murderer.

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Feb 05 2021

Move over Lady Gaga, Joni Mitchill has entered the room. Joni would be a tough competitor if she was spinning her vinyl magic today. Pianist, Acoustic Guitarist and Clavinet were just a part of her artistic talents. What a beautiful voice! I loved Help Me” and “Night in Paris”,and “Raised on Robbery”. I rank her in the top 15 most amazing women artists. This album is just a small glimpse of her talent. Have to listen to her sing “Big Yellow Taxi”, Woodstock and “Both Sides Now” She is by far one of the most talented women out there. Her songs are catchy songs or folk songs that weave a web of life and its journeys. You can “parking my lot” any time any day. Well done Jonie

First Band On The Moon by The Cardigans
Feb 09 2021

Never knew this was more than a “one hit wonder” for Love Fool. But can say after listening to this album, which was their most sold, they should have stuck with the one hit. I watched 3 in video style and that helped, but feel the lead singer is too whispy of a vocal lead to push the great beat and words to the top. I did like New Cuckoo and Been It. The Iron Man remake was blasphemy of an amazing song that should never be tweaked. Cant image who permitted the desecration of such an Iron Clad song. So, nope Swedes, not impressed.

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
Feb 10 2021

Felt like I hit the button from play music to play radio?! Especially when looking at the album cover. I did have two tracks I liked: Obalata and World famous. Did not understand this album, was it just music put together for a audience that loved a DJ? I did not appreciate the collage of tunes My guinea hens loved Duck for the Oyster.

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Feb 12 2021

Every song I expected John Denver to belt out the next lyrics. But was not disappointed by the relaxing flow of vocals from Drake. I can’t list a tract I didn’t like. Especially since the album cover confused me completely. Acoustic guitar was so good. The lyrics very deep. When he sang Place To Be, I imaged the colors greener than a hill and palest blues . So wild how he brought those images to my mind. It was sad to read he was battling depression, because his talent was so maximal for a minimalist production. I respect a musician who does all his own writing ,playing and singing. Great album .

The Doors by The Doors
Feb 15 2021

Fantastic music for a fall back to the 60’s. I never listened to them since I was a toddler and marijuana wasn’t legal. I image a psychedelic couch in a smoke filled room with pillows, plants and pot everywhere. They are the grooviest then and now. I’m sure my parents were terrified of them more then Elvis bringing rock and roll to the world. I could do meditation and yoga to this music all day long. Great drummer or should I say Symbolist! Great lyrics and a true opening up to the expanding minds of the 60’s revolutionary times. Don’t know if I would have like this music then but now see the beauty to it in all counts: lyrical, artistic, musical and dimensional. Girl we couldn’t get much higher. Come on baby light my fire. So cool man!

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Feb 16 2021

What a hidden gem. Drake is so talented and tasked at the same time . He seems so sad. The music is so beautiful I almost wanted to here only the acoustics. I read up his background and see he is another short lived artist. Had many favorites: River Man, Three Hours, Cello . The eery line from Fruit Tree tells it all “They’ll all know that you were here when you’re gone” So very true Nick

Who's Next by The Who
Feb 18 2021

Oh my let me use Who’s words to say Bargain the best I ever Had”. Buying this album is the best you’ll ever buy. I lost 2 pounds listening to this album. Baba Riley had me playing air guitar, air drums, keyboard and violin. I needed water half way through due to beltimg out the words to so many - so loud! My goodness what a piece of art from the 1st track to last. This is what a masterpiece sounds like . Belisamo!

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Feb 19 2021

Too much shouting to truly be called sing. Have to admit this was a big skip for me. To use their lyrical words” I can’t stand it” Sabotage. Is there a 0 rating available?

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Feb 22 2021

Am amazed I knew the first song “So What”. He has several songs in the detective show”Bosch”. Very smooth...felt like I was at an old blues bar listening to him play through the night. The cupped trumpet was amazing. If you have ever tried to play a trumpet it is even more impressive listening to this album. Loved “Stella by Starlight”. Great change to have No Lyrics.

Scott 2 by Scott Walker
Feb 24 2021

Huh??!? I felt like I was at a modern opera, but then Scott would jump in with insane lyrics. He looked nothing like the deep, strong, tenor he would belt out. The only track I liked was “Next”. So no matter how many Scott’s you made 1-2-3-4 ... I would buy 0. If you have time to waste listen to his song “Jesse” for a true creep out.

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Feb 25 2021

I enjoy Janelle’s current endeavors but felt like the album was a collection of her thoughts and travels around the world with a synthesizing and pre fanned mixer. Was not impressed with any of the songs. The album cover says it all..too much on her mind and where to put it. Not sure where she was going with it all.

Locust Abortion Technician by Butthole Surfers
Feb 26 2021

Offensive Cover title, song names and lyrics. They earned a big thumbs down. They must have been craving ways to shock an unshakeable group of groupies. Middle schoolers using DJ mixer studio apps made this type of music in the 90’s when I was teaching. Leave the Locust alone.

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Mar 01 2021

I listened to this while shopping and I gotta admit I felt like it was a 2 track album. 2 longs songs that did not seem different from each other nor keep my attention. Nothing to write up on this album.

Sweet Baby James by James Taylor
Mar 02 2021

Any artist who uses my name Twice in one album is a rock star in my book! It is amazing how someone so talented had challenges with drug abuse and depression. He has such amazing lyrics that make you stop and listen. He seems to be telling a story of his life and journey in every track. Great talent on loan from God. I just saw him and Carole King doing a live set to an intimate audience and his agent was there. James thanked him for all the years of commitment . I say thank you for all the amazing hits you’ve put out all theses years. His words have healed him and maybe many others

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Mar 03 2021

Loved Scar tissue, The Other Side, Get On Top. They are so comfortable switching from rock to ballad to rap to pop. Very talented band and when they lost a member the replacement filled the big shoes so seamlessly. “Get On Top” was a look at how versatile they were with a rendition of a Rap Rock song in the early years of rap. Well done gentlemen. Keep these amazing artist coming. I was ready to jump ship last week this week

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Mar 04 2021

Buckley is an amazing guitarist. Loved his Hallelujah. He has a beautiful, angelic voice but I am not a fan of a full album of whispery songs. But definitely a talented person.

Teenager Of The Year by Frank Black
Mar 05 2021

Sir Rockaby , Fiddle Riddle were my toe tapping favorites. Many of the others were too much too fast to enjoy. Black’s guitar skills are to be commended and again this was an album where I thought the drummer was phenomenal. I am not an alternative rock fan which is the only reason for a mediocre score. Wouldn’t purchase this for myself.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Mar 08 2021

Loved 1979 when it came out and love it all over again now. I could never hear the words before, but now with lyrics on apple, for the first time I saw them. Shows I am a rhythm, beat and music -more than lyrics girl. Another alternative rock I didn’t care for. The album cover is beautiful. A masterpiece of art traveling through space. Talent is there but I couldn’t find it. I am guessing it’s in the pumpkins they are smashing, in search of that talent.

Disintegration by The Cure
Mar 09 2021

I have heard the Cure but really listened this time to lyrics and music and was very impressed. Lots of favorites on this album; Homesick, Love Song were fun but a knew favorite was Lullaby but should have named Spider-Man! Very catchy and smooth. Great job and hats off it A best hit “Friday I’m in Love Again.

Roger the Engineer by The Yardbirds
Mar 10 2021

Felt like I was listening to England’s version of The Beach Boys slash 50s band. Catchy tunes but not a fan. I did appreciate the band letting their toddlers design the album cover. Better there than drawings on the wall. Liked Lost Women and Over, Under, Sideways, Down. But then it went anther direction.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Mar 11 2021

Again not worth listening to. Liked the beat for Closer but did not appreciate the lyrics. There’s another Pass from this gal.

Mar 15 2021

Liked Hotel Istanbul & Weather to Fly. But not me cup of tea, me lady.

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Mar 17 2021

Liked the beat throughout the album. It lost a star when the band adding their voice & lyrics. Groovy beats until Ubu Dance . Whoever sang in a voice that sounded like Tiny Tim “Tip Toe through the Tulips”, was the tipping point to skip the rest.

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Mar 18 2021

Very different sounding voice. She iPad a lot of skill. I was not a fan of the album. On the cover it was interesting because she looks like my niece.

The Clash by The Clash
Mar 19 2021

Liked Police & Thieves. Only cause I could understand the words. Most songs were challenging to comprehend the lyrics. Felt like they would just speed up or slow down the beat and give the song a different name. But for punk rock it was okay. Wanted to hear one of my favorites “Should I Stay or Go”. But was bummed it wasn’t on this album.

The Specials by The Specials
Mar 22 2021

Loved the song “A Message to you Rudy” and “Concrete Jungle”. Very up beat and jazzy sound. I imagine hearing this at a soccer match or bar hopping across the pond. Or even farther across the pond in Nairobi Africa! Pretty cool lyrics in “Why” This album was saved. The Blum cover looks like a friend said “hey lemme take your photo for fun” which at first I thought was lame but as I look back, it fits the music perfectly- “Let’s play this Specials album for fun.”

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Mar 23 2021

Hip but just evaluated his last album so not much different

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Mar 26 2021

The sad thing is someone let this production occur. The vocals sound off key and lack volume and depth. The instruments seem to be done by 2nd graders who decided to pick up their parents instruments and started jamming. Mar 29 2021

They had me at Chicago! This album is an introduction to to amazing talent of a band homegrown in the USA! Transit AC shows how truly talented the artists were before their explosion into stardom. The instruments played cover a wide spectrum of cow bell to trombone. I can honestly say they grew leaps and bounds after this album...25 or 6 to 4..... Name a band today that has vocal, drummer, trumpet keyboard, brass, guitar and cowbell to boot! Loved Beginning, Q’s 67 & 68, I’m a Man& Introduction. Jim, I never knew you were the original “More Cowbell” guy?! Chicago goes on to become a legend in their own time. “Does anyone Really Know What time it is”.

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Mar 30 2021

The album started off slow but then picked up as I listened. Loved Kentucky Rain and Suspicious Eyes. I’m not an Elvis fan but he does have some great lyrics that will have you humming for hours and hours.

Imperial Bedroom by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Mar 31 2021

Double Elvis day/back to back Elvis’s! They couldn’t be more polar opposite. Costello has a beautiful voice and a wide array of song types. Long honeymoon made me feel like I was walking the cobblestone streets of France. The album cover too, reminded me of French beatniks. Still trying to figure out what the Album cover is representing. If you find time listen to my favorite Costello song “Every Day I Write the Book” He is a breath of fresh air. I feel like Costello was the 80’s John Mayer only hipper .

The Bends by Radiohead
Apr 01 2021

Very relaxing music. Had several fav’s : Fake Plastic 🌴and High & Dry, My Iron Lung are great stand outs, Good lyrics, good music. The album cover is very creepy.

Live At Leeds by The Who
Apr 02 2021

Summer Time blues and Magic bus were catchy but not into the unknowns songs. They are talented and so impressed they stayed together as a band. But it’s not my first choice (or10th) of their music style.

Apr 05 2021

Well that album was long. 52 songs and I knew none. I do like their “Lola” but that’s cause I like Cola! Liked Autumn Almanac & Sand on my Shoes. Saw they had several songs in Wes Anderson’s Darjeeling.

Be by Common
Apr 07 2021

Advisory warning made me skip many of the songs.

Apr 08 2021

Their name says it all. They were the first tectonic band that had lyrics. I could go on and on about Annie Lennox. What depth and range she has! Her album The Annie Lennox Collection is in my top 5 of all albums. Listen to that to hear her talent ooze from start to finish 🎧 For fun watch her video “walking on broken glass” and be surprised by her A list friends. This album was her breakout album since prior were not hits. I enjoy her music more when she goes single. Sweet Dreams is a catchy tune, but as mentioned future albums are so much more fun

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Apr 09 2021

That was a fun surprise. This band did so much for harmonic bands to come. This is something I don’t see in bands today. They were so in tune and aligned with their band mates in harmony that I was surprised to read all the discontent going on off stage. Love Monday Monday and California Dreamer. Loved hearing the tambourine in all the songs! Their style reminds me of the early music of The Monkeys and all the other 60’s hipster bands. “Each night before I Go to bed my baby & whisper a 🙏🏻 For you my baby!” Is my favorite of their creations.

Happy Sad by Tim Buckley
Apr 12 2021

The title should have been Sad Sad. Buckley has a beautiful voice and definite high and low range. I didn’t care for the album. It was too slow down beat and depressing in nature.

Vento De Maio by Elis Regina
Apr 13 2021

Eli’s had a beautiful voice. Not being bi-lingual was a definite block in understanding lyrics. With that being said I feel unqualified to give this album a fair rating. The music was pleasant playing in the background. Will mention it was difficult to find the album.

Welcome To The Pleasuredome by Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Apr 16 2021

Only knew their hit Relax. Lots going on in their music 🎶. Also liked Tribes, Born to Run and Fury which I think are all remakes of someone else’s work. Did not like Tag.

System Of A Down by System Of A Down
Apr 19 2021

Ouch my ears are sore. Not a fan. And they say “Sugar” doesn’t go bad😯

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Apr 20 2021

Not excited by this Elvis. He would be a hit at a prom or bar but nothing struck a chord in me . Sorry Costello 😔 the other Elvis wins by a long shot

Future Days by Can
Apr 22 2021

Sounds like they were making music for movie. Long tracks and space age sounds. Did like Moonstruck🌛

Parachutes by Coldplay
Apr 23 2021

Had only heard Yellow before and liked it still. The rest of the album was nothing spectacular. Cool cover

The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers
Apr 26 2021

Okay who took photos of me before my Peleton days? Weird album cover and about the same comment on the 🎼 Not my cup of tea

Real Life by Magazine
Apr 27 2021

Liked Definitive Gaze. Liked the beat on several of the songs, but didn’t seem to hear the lyrics over that beat. By the 4th song I felt like the beat was just a continuance of the ones prior. The album cover resembles Nightmare Before Christmas. The remake of Gold finger was 😣.

Walking Wounded by Everything But The Girl
Apr 29 2021

This is a surprise album. Great beat, lyrics and smooth songs! I have never heard of this band and keep trying to compare the lead singer 👩‍🎤 to someone else I’ve heard. Sade? Merchant? You tell me?

american dream by LCD Soundsystem
Apr 30 2021

The album cover is cool except for the typeset hindering the view. Definitely liked Tonight and Oh Baby. Their path of famous to forgotten to famous is intriguing and worth listening to.

In Rainbows by Radiohead
May 03 2021

Radiohead again? Convinced this is the only way they will be heard is on a required listen list. Not me cup of tea💂🏻

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
May 04 2021

Reminded me of high school. Petty was a big deal back then. To hard to compare him to all that has come sine then, but he is definitely one of the great American rock n roller’s. Best of album is much better than this 2 hit one.

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
May 05 2021

Lead singer reminded me a little of the Go go’s. Na it’s a hard pass.

May 11 2021

From 1st to last Elton made a point of sharing his feelings and surprised us with his talent. He is the most amazing pianist with a voice to back up those keys. Favorite tracks: Funeral for a friend, Candle 🕯 in the Wind, Benny & the Jets and Harmony. But 🎧 to this album twice and your list will double. Well done Sir John, Good Knight! First 5 rating

Marcus Garvey by Burning Spear
May 12 2021

Cool reggae tunes 😎but I was overloaded by a whole album. So many of the songs seemed to start with the same percussion start.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
May 14 2021

Such a distinctive voice...Ms Janis. Liked a few songs but not my favorite music for a whole album

Parallel Lines by Blondie
May 21 2021

Oldies but goodies - heart of glass & one way or another . Great upbeat voice and good lyric writing

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
May 25 2021

Such a combination of talented musicians and styles. But would not sit down and listen to this for any other reason than album review.

90 by 808 State
May 26 2021

Liked every song . Great music and techno beats. Shocked how old it is. Good to workout 🏋️‍♀️ with and have never heard of them before

American Pie by Don McLean
Jun 02 2021

Loved American Pie! Beautiful lyrics and guitar. But after 3 rd song I lost interest. I need more switch up to love a whole album.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jun 03 2021

Cool jazz for way back when.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Jun 08 2021

This is a personal favorite🤩 Smooth Criminal, Dirty Diana, Man in the Mirror always speak such truthful words. Mr Jackson had some disturbing issues but writing music, producing videos, choreography and entertaining so many for so long are not them. Well done 👍🏼

Jun 10 2021

4 hours and 19 minutes, should have issued this on a Friday so I could find the time to listen to it all. Oh well no worries 🎧 listened to 4 and said Delete. Must mean I’m not a Simple Mind.

My Generation by The Who
Jun 17 2021

Liked Generations & Kids are Alright. I never noticed how much The Who is a jazz driven band. I even heard Elton John style piano. So Who are they really? I don’t know but they are talented. Very cool cover looking into their world.

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Jun 23 2021

Great oldie…” I Want you to Want Me” and I loved the drummer in all the songs. Pretty lasting on the list of great rock n roll album. Also loved Surrender💿then and now. Mommy’s alright Daddy’s alright!

Here, My Dear by Marvin Gaye
Jun 28 2021

Definitely the best of R&B . But wished the album was one with a few of his greatest hits🎼 “What’s Going On, Sexual Healing, I heard it through the 🍇” and about 10 more. Album generator missed the mark again. Marvin Gaye lives on through his words of love and living! “Ain’t nothing Like the Real Thing!”

I'm Your Man by Leonard Cohen
Jul 05 2021

This album sound like a year long haunted Halloween! What a great deep voice with lyrics you’re trying to figure out befor he sings them. It was and interesting switch from all the Brits!

Ten by Pearl Jam
Jul 06 2021

Few good sounds nothing stands out

Let Love Rule by Lenny Kravitz
Jul 09 2021

Must have been a practice album. Not as good as he later material. Even his voice isn’t as good

Picture Book by Simply Red
Jul 13 2021

Holding Back the Years was a beautiful serenade. Kept thinking I was listening to Carly Simon or Annie Lennex. Had some good song… If you don’t Know Me By Now….then listen to their best

British Steel by Judas Priest
Jul 14 2021

Need to rename this 999 Albums to “Renew Brits Lacklusters”. Too many repetitive albums that all sound the same and mostly from across the pond

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Jul 15 2021

Loved Highway to Hell, swear the rest all sounded very similar.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Jul 16 2021

Loved Mannish but did it get stolen and remade into Bad to the Bone????😳Great blues if you like blues

Groovin' by The Young Rascals
Jul 21 2021

Really liked this album. Fresh look at the 60-70’s and just laying around and listening to the past .It was really Groovin😊. Surprised how many of these songs I’d heard before but not knowing it was the Rascals. Great harmony and lyrics. This was a surprise

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Jul 28 2021

They were great in their time. Liked their music more then then now.

Nothing's Shocking by Jane's Addiction
Jul 30 2021

Too exploiting of a cover , I’ll skip

Revolver by Beatles
Aug 02 2021

Enjoyed several songs but Got to get You into my life was a favorite. Not a Beatles fan or should I say groupie. Can’t name a band I have ever screamed, cried or lamented for. Better writers than singers.

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Aug 03 2021

Great album “Shout & Head over Heals, Mothers Talk, Listen Like their ability to make such varied songs on one album 💿 makes this a great listen

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Aug 10 2021

Great then and great now. Love their style and would enjoy them getting together to perform old and new collaborations.

Hotel California by Eagles
Aug 19 2021

Loved it from Welcome to finish. Hotel California, Life in Fast Lane & Victim of Love. Great strumming on the guitar 🎸. Truly has held up over all these years. “Such Lovey Place”

That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire
Sep 01 2021

🥰loved them in High School and 😍them now. As l listened more carefully this time, I felt like they were a mix of Chicago and Elton John and Marvin Gaye all rolled up in one! Great Job Earth 🌍 wind & 🔥

Made In Japan by Deep Purple
Sep 02 2021

Very versatile… would have had to had an advisory label on their album now a days for expletive words😆Smoke on the 💦 is still an “air drum 🥁 and guitar 🎸 favorite for sure. One of the only heavy metal I have ever liked.

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Sep 03 2021

So I listened to the songs that did not have expletives and… oh that would be none. Sorry Dr D. I’m not nutzzz about the lyrics. Did have good beat in Nothing bout

Frampton Comes Alive by Peter Frampton
Sep 06 2021

Loved Peter growing up but listening to this today I felt the songs were running into each other..not much variance or variety

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Sep 10 2021

Queen of jazz, blues and just great love ballads. 🥰you years ago and still rank you in my top 20 best female artists. “You make Feel, Sweet Baby, Chain of Fools are classics

Transformer by Lou Reed
Sep 13 2021

Lou took a Walk on the Wild Side before it was hip to do so. That was one of my favorite so many years ago. Different piece of work can’t say I was impressed, just different🤔 Album cover is so boring… he should have followed his “wild Side” theme and done something way out there.

Sep 14 2021

Pass….. sounds like a garage band practice before their next gig and may have been indulging before they started to practice. In what I do not know.

Moving Pictures by Rush
Sep 17 2021

Tom Sawyer was a super cool electronic creation in its day. This album 💿 sounds like back ground music for movies, plays and presentation. Talented but not something that I would listen to for entertainment.

Younger Than Yesterday by The Byrds
Sep 20 2021

Would have liked their “Best of album 💿” but not one of the songs on this one inspired any reason to listen. They are great musicians but not this album and I turned & turned to the next songs

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Sep 27 2021

Sounded like a sound track from a B horror movie 🎥 Didn’t like the movie either.

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
Sep 28 2021

“One of these things” sounded like a collaboration with Dr Suess. But did like Northern Sky. Blake was the one kid in English class that fist pumped when the teacher said”Today is learning poetry day” while the other 25 booed😣

Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu
Sep 29 2021

They are great musicians and a spectrum of 🥁 🎹 🎸played. Should of had Expletive symbol on the cover for “Booty” song 🎧 and Bag lady

A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Oct 04 2021

They are very jazzy, but I could listen to a whole album worth🎷.

Oct 05 2021

Hells Bells 🔔 still rings strong for me! Love that song 🎧 and Back in Black and Shook Me are timeless. In my top20 albums

Oct 12 2021

I’ll consider this his practice work! He sounds good but I enjoy his later work a lot more

Tonight's The Night by Neil Young
Oct 13 2021

Not a fan his early stuff. H got better with practice and age. Love so many of his hits

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Oct 15 2021

Simon is as talented alone as he was with funkel 👍🏼Great musician and writer. “Julio, Mother & Child & Papa hobo are great. One of only a few artists who went out on his own and had the talent to carry himself🤛🏼

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Oct 18 2021

How can you mend a broken ❤️‍🩹? You listen to Al Green . He did a great job creating life long love songs. He got better with age, like a fine 🍷

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Oct 19 2021

Why not name this Classic Covers? I get so confused by who is the writer or presenter. This album was a great way to open eyes 👀 to country singing. But not a big Willie fan Lots more “twanging” talent out there, then & now. Willie is definitely talented in replicating music but in the years after this he shows a lot more talent and teaches the world what Country music is. Did like the rendition of Unchained Melody!

Elephant by The White Stripes
Oct 25 2021

Huh? Didn’t know what to expect. Don’t know what to say. Nothing I liked. Their story is interesting to read but wasn’t inspired by their work.

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Oct 26 2021

If you listen to this 💿 it is full of Stevie’s love for so many areas of his life: Sir Duke, I wish, isn’t She Lovely, As , are just unforgettable for me. Then learning he was blind soon after birth you realize you are in the presence of one of Gods gift to us all…appropriately named Wonder!! Such a cool cover in the 70’s. Superstitions was unforgettable too

Vincebus Eruptum by Blue Cheer
Oct 27 2021

So hard core when first heard now it’s just a look back to a mix of head banging rock 🤘 heavy metal 🎸 & crazy base!!!

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Nov 01 2021

Not a heavy metal fan. The only one I liked was “Sweet Child of Mine”. I felt like the first 5 just ran into each other. Couldn’t tell tell when one stopped and a new started. Too screechy for me. But great album cover for 2 days before Halloween 🎃

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Nov 02 2021

Too many Expletives. Darling cover, am a softy for any baby on covers😁

Nov 03 2021

She’s a killer! Is a fav of mine. Didn’t know the rest cut definitely hear their future style coming out through this album. Can’t wait for more 👸🏻 albums

Purple Rain by Prince
Nov 04 2021

🦹🏼‍♀️Loved the artist and all his quirkiness. Tiny man with huge talent. I’d put him up there as one of the best writer, performer and guitarist out there. I know he is in a band with Freddie Mercury right now fighting over who gets to wear the tightest, brightest, studded out fit. Rock on gentleman. Easier to list which songs I didn’t like-none.

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Nov 05 2021

Back to back Prince 🙌🏼 Did like his Purple ☔️ more. Lot of songs I hadn’t hear on this for me but he still is a strong talent thru & through. You’ve got the Look & The Cross were 2 fav’s .

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Nov 08 2021

If your looking for a meditation album …look no more. Very transcendental music. Even though I didn’t understand one word said😆. But did add this to my meditation play list. The album cover is strangely beautiful. A fetus that is an Angel praying 🙏🏻 .For what we can only guess.

Nov 18 2021

Could not keep up with the lyrics😆“Just want you to Know” that song was silly! Great guitar and music but goofy lyrics. Same with John Barlycorn Must Die…. Great cord weird words🥸

Dec 08 2021

The Undertones by The Undertones
Jan 04 2022

Until the lyrics started kinda thought it was Blondi . Nothing too exciting here. Maybe over “there” it was a big deal.

Melodrama by Lorde
Jan 12 2022

Cool album cover, fits her sexy voice. I love her raspy voice. Almost like a young Amy Winehouse. But like her later stuff more. But gotta start somewhere and she did a lot of growing till current hits

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Jan 17 2022

Loved the guitar in Cloud Nine. Loved this band growing up. They have better albums

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Feb 07 2022

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Feb 08 2022

Crazy energy but not sure for what? Maybe to out 🏃‍♀️ the Avalanche. Usually when listening to albums I’ll know the hits of the album and I knew every single “ None” of them. This would be great club music but not sure which club😊

Bongo Rock by Incredible Bongo Band
Feb 09 2022

Apache starts off the 💿 and I was waiting for Chicago to start singing! It reminded me of some of their songs . Lots of fun stuff, flute, bass bongo who can resist

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Feb 14 2022

Not an album that would make top 1000 list. 👎🏼

Feb 16 2022

Kamera was cool but after that the rest seemed like a duplicate

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Feb 18 2022

Love me some Stevie Wonder! Not much to save except exceptionally talented in so many ways. Loved the spectrum of all the songs. Could be my top 2 favorite Wonder albums😊

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Apr 19 2022

Neil has some great songs. Unfortunately none were on this album. “Old Man, ❤️ Of Gold, Harvest “come to mind and they would score way higher than this 💿. This album did not show his true talent.

Sail Away by Randy Newman
Apr 21 2022

Gotta 😆 in the first 10 seconds I heard “you Got a Friend “ in my mind and BAM it is the same artist!!
