Mix of short melodic Guitar Riffs and 10 minute musical journeys. Soft lyrics and gentle guitar with drums, heavy riffs inbetween
Raw - Mundharmonica und Banjo gehen hard
amazing synth, high notes, an energy only black people posses
Quite mesmerising, like opening a time-capsule. The Album is a live-recording from the 50's, you get the experience Sarah Vaughan improvising and interacting with the audience, laughing, all probably long dead. Quite the experience. And her voice is just.. to fall in love with.
Whole array of different vibes, amazing scratching, but more if a background noice, than anything to fall into completely
Simple uplifting R&B of the 50s
Damn P-Funk, can't belive I only just now heard of their existence. Each song just makes you want to move to it. You recognize so many elements from newer music, truly a staple for generations of musicians to come after. Funny to see some lingo still being used in rap today!
Smooth Jazz, people were probably wilding to this at the time
Not necessarily my taste, but damn do does Riffs go hard holy smokes
Hype hype hype - you wanna punch the air and start a fire in your living room
Haven't thought about Coldplay in years. One of my earliest music-memories, always playing on the radio in the car as a kid. They're much more vibrsnt and have greater variation in tones than I thought. Great rediscovery!
Geladen, zährende Leidenschaft, hoffnungsvolle Sehnsucht - Starman immer gänsehaut
Love the vocal range, reminds me of Jack Stauber
Groovy, upswing, feels flat sometimes
Magnificent irish voice, reminiscent of the cranberries lead singer. Minimalist instrumental. Melancolic tone. Songs of lost love
Nice 3 Instrument Jazz just flowing, lead changing between the 3, something you'd rather want to see live.
Smooth operator, smoooooooooth operator
Great 70's rock, gotta love it
Amazing, chill early 2000s - laid back nostalgia
One of the most influential Albums of the early 2000s, everybody knows it and can sing along. Sadly was a bit overplayed on radio, so it lacks a punch, it otherwise would have. DONT WANNA BE AN AMERICAN IDIOT
Huh, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida is supposed to be some sort of psychadelic, hippi-epic. I don't know what I should have expected, something like Bohemian Rapsody fits the term 'epic proportions' in my mind. In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida did try to open a door to some unholy dark place, but I was not the one to enter. Maybe it is something real special, in another time, in another state of mind..
Puh, tuff to get into at the beginning, but damn does this album tear you apart und put you back together again! Really pushing the boundaries of what can be enjoyed as music, while always holding on to a sense of melodie. An atmosphere thats really one of a kind!
Crazy atmospheres to fall into, but not necessarily something to dance to. Partly reminds me of St. Peppers.
Amazing alt-rock. ahead of it's time, your suprised the album was released in the 80s when listening for the first time, could have just as well been released 2 days ago.
You make me feel, you make me feeeell! Aretha Franklin's unmistakable voice over some jazzy instrumental will always feel timeless.
Didn't know about them, but they go hard! Nice 70s rock
Uncharted territory for me. Scared me a few times while listening, but then it had me in a vice grip.
Lovely, but didn't throw me away
Rudimentary, trashy punk music, that somehow works. The Slits don't know how to play instruments or sing, but they know how to make music. Nothing soothing, but challenging.
It's a bittersweet symphonyyy this li-ife.. fucking banger, takes me back. Great music from a great era. Ashcroft, one of the last classic, drugged up rockstars
A true Epic, exploration of different instruments and combination so masterfully and gracefully done.
Never heard of them before, but damn they go harrd. Energizing 90s rock, switching between laid-back melodies and then melodically punching you in the face again
Great calofornian garage/punk rock. Bavkground guitar kinda stays in this same sharp, fast rythm througout.
Classic, just peak 90's rap, great flows, hard hitting vocal punches, laid back beats and excelent samples. What can you say - fucking badass music making whole generations jump up and down
Really chill music, to indulge or just leave running in the background (one of few albums i can keep playing while studying). Melancolic voice in an uplifting way, nice acoustic guitar and a calm trumpet on one or the other occasion, what more do you need.
Not my drift, but nice country mixed with different influences from neighbouring genres.
Chill rock, like Talking Heads is known for. Voice is unmistakeable, textst kinda quirky sometimes.
A album worth listening from beggining to end. Really unique sound
Not particularly my cup of tea, but you can't hate this kind of upbeat music from the blindest motherfucking music genius
Nice alt-rock, calm vocals and distorted instrumentals.
Classic christmas songs everybody has at least heard 100 times
With or without you I cant live eith or wothooouut you! Every single song you have at least hear once on the radio as a kid.
Finally some music even my girlfriend can get behind. Thanks to you Goldfrapp for providing some common ground between her and me.
Late 90s early 2000esque white girl pop music. Unarguably fantastic smoith voice, nice hip-hop elements.
Daamn didn't realize I missed reggae in my life
Album cover already got me sold
Mit dem Kas kannst mi jogn, a anfoch abisl zu vü Christus do drin für mein Gschmock
Ray Charles the goat, you feel really posh having this is your background music while eating or studying, but nothing I'm crazy about. Seeing videos of him performing live is crazy tho, you see the energy flowing through him, something music close to your heart makes you feel, and I can vibe with that.
One of the fucking greatest Rap-Almbums of all time
Newer heard of Herbie Hancock, but his shit slaps. Nice background music, to have conversations while driving, to read, etc.. Like the backdrop to the movie of ypur life.
Surreal, kinda demonic accapella
One of my fav Bands, not one of their best albums
Havenr heard oh them. Very unique fushion, atmospheric
Chill lowkey D&B Neuro type music. Great for studying or have something in the background, thats not to distractong but you start to move your head
Bir overwhelming but it works
Just knew about their bigger hits, but damn they have so much to offer.
Damn really slept on this one, nice mix of rock, funk and hiphop
My least favorite of all their Albums
Slept on this one, some nice 90s rap
Beautiful voice, but more of a background music to me, not something to indulge in fully.
Incredible mix of different genres feeling so fresh and alive still today
Chill, beautiful voice, supringengly wide range of different styles, some almoust house-like, while others more rudimentary
Rich voice, over various beats including country/folk and also more jazzy sounds. Some up-beat (hopp-hopp-hopp) type music and than also some drawn out in-the-feels kinda music.
Kind of music that rather annoys me
Such a smooth, consistent album, damn his style is amazing
Legends, so much from them and Young in here
Just read into elliott smith and damn how could i sleep on such talent. Beatiful soft voice in a changing mixture of different genre and styles. With certain people you instantly realize how they understand music on a different level. Mastering all different kinds of instruments and blending different perspectives on music. Not only that, but Elliot is someone you realize has so much to tell you, music is his vehicle. Someone to defdinetly insulge in deeper when given the time.
Wow, beautiful covers of bamgers, giving them a new twist
An album and a band i will have to explore deeper, what a blast i had
Overlooked, there is so much in here. A full and rich 2h joirney through this consistend mood harrison creates.
Beginnings of a legend. His iconic, cartoonishly drawn our voice (almost on a sarcastic level, like he's drunk or trying to impersonate trump, or both) over guitar. Already with his iconic mouth piece. Very folky, before his big rock hits. Not something i go crazy about, but really interesting where he came from
Went in with high expectations, but ended up having to force myself through the album.
Classic, but doesnt hold up much today, there's some nicer jazz and better singers, seems more like a cult of personality to me
Just resonates with me, maybe the beatles just work better on acid
Curtis is so overlooked todaY
Listening to this shit drunk at 3am on the bus to the safety of your home is a hell of a ride. The whole album takes you through these different worn-dowm atmospheres and you forget about time for a while.
My name is, my name isTschika Tschika Slim shady
You either love or hate Elvis. His music's not really something I care about, but you can't deny hiow iconic and recognizable his sound is.
Some nice Jazz, great for studying, not distracting, but not too exciting either
Had totally forgotten.about them. Very maticulasly crafted, catchy tunes. They sound silly sometimes, but the lyrics are genius.
One of the earlier stones albums, not.as sufisticated as the big oned later on
Unbearable Album with some bangers and interesting bits carefully sprinkled in
Classic, start of something huge
Eary, repetetive beats, smooth voice. Nice 2000s alt-rock
Such a cozy, familiar vibe. Hitting me deeper, cause im listening to tjis feeding the chickens at my gf's families farm
Kinda goes hard if you open yourself up tp it. Cringiest lyrics tho
