CanFeels like they were taking all the drugs. A few songs start off well, but go off the rails as they drag on.
Feels like they were taking all the drugs. A few songs start off well, but go off the rails as they drag on.
Have never been able to get into Randy Newman. All his songs sound exactly the same to me.
Some solid songs, but a lot of the music sounded very similar.
A true classic of rap, solid all the way through.
Feels more like classic 70's Bowie. The last two tracks (Dollar Days and I Can't Give Everything Away) were my favorite tracks.
A great funk album with a lot of passion and a strong message.
One of the greatest live albums and consummate Johnny Cash.
A fun and zippy bit of jazz.
Definitely a product of it's time, but some real standout songs and California Dreamin' will always be a classic.
Just not my cup of tea.
A lot of the songs sounded very similar, but it's not an era of country music I enjoy.
Wasn't familiar with John Cale but a pleasant surprise. Very well crafted, melodic album.
Great early rock album and a shame we lost Buddy Holly so young.
A great and classic
Just not a reggae fan, so this didn't click with me.
A lot of fun. Zippy with some great songs.
The lead singer Liz is very talented, and the songs are ethereal and well crafted. But synth heavy at times (it was the 80's), and the mixing was weird at times. Could barely hear the lead singer on some songs.
Truly beautiful album and quite a few songs I was previously unaware of. Fakin It was a standout.
Johnny Cash love performances are always a winner.
Absolutely wonderful from beginning to end of you like Bowie.
Not a bad album, but the released singles are probably the strongest songs from it.
Nevermind the Buzzcocks...
An iconic album with some amazing songs.
The Wizard of Oz soundtrack is amazing.
Not sure how this made it on any list of great albums. Couldn't even finish the whole album.
An underrated band, and a good album.
Some good classic stuff on here.
Forgot about Elliott.Smith. Amazing and talented artist gone too soon. Definitely worth your time..
A solid album.
Funky and soulful.
Jersey Girl was the standout for me, but just can't get into Tom Waits.
If you are having trouble falling asleep, try this.
There is a reason she is the queen of soul. Worth diving into the deep tracks for some real bangers.
A solid Christmas album.
Love the old school rock vibe, but not a fan of the lead singer's voice.
One of their best and a smooth transition to the change in lead singers
Not my cup of satanic tea
Pioneers of electronic music for years to come. Fuel My Fire was a standout from the album's deep cuts
Some gems here, but most of the album didn't connect with me.
Not bad and a few strong songs that don't sound like typical New Order
Amazing guitar work and good songs.
A classic and one of their best albums.
Lives up to it's name. Some catchy tunes.
Solid all the way through.
Interesting
I never knew I needed sitar covers in my life, and now I know I still don't.
Melodic and melancholy, but also very well crafted.
Absolutely fantastic jazz album
Good album, but not as many bangers as I expected.
A fantastic live performer, full of energy.
Really felt like the soundtrack to a 80's techno thriller. As a standalone album, didn't grab me.
If melancholy achieved human form, it would be this.
A strong album with some great deep cuts
Great for a dance club, but a lot of the songs were too long and repetitive.
It's a shame this band was short lived. Some of Clapton's best stuff.
One I never heard of. There are some solid songs on here, but a few that were pretty forgettable.
Not one I had heard before, but a good album. Can see the influence on a lot of modern indie bands.
I was about ready to write it off after a screeching generic punk opener, but definitely worth staying until the end. Some great songs, wellcrafted and fun.
Not as strong as I expected. A few standouts.
A very curious album because it's somehow both a product of its time, and ahead of its time.
Some good songs, but kind of fades into the background.
Liked it a lot more than I expected. Very melodic and well crafted songs.
Maybe goes on a bit too long, especially since a lot of the songs sound similar, but still sad she was gone too soon.
Was mostly familiar with this already, but Gimme Some Truth hit hard in the current post era.
While maybe not the greatest Beatles album, still a great album.
Just couldn't get into it.
It's astounding something so great can come from so much drama and dysfunction. A perfect album from beginning to end.
Aside from the one single I knew, this album didn't having anything that really jumped out at me.
Feels like the start of REM's dominance of the 90's. A solid entry and lots of great songs.
My daughter's review: it sucks
Lives up to his name, but some good classic country here.
Not bad, but not really my taste in music.
Good, but like all AC/DC kind of sounds the same to me
Good rap album, but a lot of it started to blend together.
Not their strongest album for me.
Definitely a high point for me for Kings of Leon. Much more raw and rocking than their later stuff. Only downside is the lead singer sounds like he has a mouth of marbles for many of the songs.
Feels ahead of its time in a lot of ways.
A great debut album
Much better than I expected.
Kind of run of the mill Elvis. Nothing special or fun.
The Killing Moon is an amazing song, but the rest of the album is strong as well.
Just as good then as he is now.
Solid
Definitely prefer their later stuff, but some fun ones on this.
A great singer, doing a lot of beautiful and fun music. Truly a hidden gem.
Wasn't familiar with this, but a solid album. Reminded me a lot of the Cure.
No one standout song for me, but not bad overall.
Lullabies to paralyze
Feels like they were taking all the drugs. A few songs start off well, but go off the rails as they drag on.
The singer is excellent. The canned synth and electronic drums on some songs took me out of them, but overall there is some good stuff here.
Raw but good.
Solid Arcade Fire with a few standouts
Lemmy
A rocking album, but nothing that really stood out to me
Quite the surprise. Had to define because it seems to switch genres repeatedly, but solid songs all the way through. Truly an unexpected gem.
Great first album by a great band.
Solid jazz
Not bad
An album for a musical that never existed?
Not bad at all.
Not my cup of tea.
Some good stuff
A lot of great music here. My only issue is Morrissey. His voice is very distinct and sounds the same to me from song to song. He's a good singer, but it makes it all blend together.
Have never been able to get into Randy Newman. All his songs sound exactly the same to me.
Truly one of the greats
Good stuff
Great soulful funk.
Definitely would be better if I engaged in some substances, but there are some solid songs mixed in.
Not sure how this garbage ended up on this site.
I wasn't sure about this one until I started looking at it as the soundtrack to a retro style video game. Then I really started to get into it.
Solid
A real classic and a real talent
Some really good songs as you progress.
Solid goth album.
Profoundly weird, but also kind of fun. Wears its influences on its sleeve
Feels like the modern-day version of the old school classic female singers.
Well crafted songs and great guitar work. Worth a listen.
Good
A classic.
Solid
While I am usually not a fan, I really enjoyed most songs from this album.
Not a fan
One of their better albums.
