Marvin Gaye
2/5
Good music, definitely pleasant for a few minutes and in some specific occasions, but a bit too chill. Too much jesus
Cyndi Lauper
3/5
Cannot say no to a good old 80's synth and a catchy rythm... at least for a while. Cyndi works in small doses for me a full album is too much despite the two bangers.
Bob Dylan
3/5
I am surprised by how far you can get with a guitar, voice and harmonica. It gets a bit samey though...
Guns N' Roses
4/5
Packed with goodness. The first one I would actually listen to after this
Lauryn Hill
3/5
After the first song I thought I was going to hate this, but fortunately, it got better from there. Still not my jam though
Sex Pistols
3/5
Yeah... didn't work for me. Too repetitive and only a couple of good songs
Bebel Gilberto
4/5
Actually pretty good! Chill in the background without ever being annoying or too repetitive.
Sparks
4/5
Unexpected, way more "original" and modern than what I thought, expecially at the beginning. Then it lost some of it's charm along the way, but still quite good overall
Jimmy Smith
4/5
Jazzy! Nor my bread and butter but pleasant
Norah Jones
4/5
Quite a pleasant voice. Really chill in the background
Fela Kuti
3/5
It was OK. Not my bread and butter tbh but also not obnoxious
A Tribe Called Quest
1/5
Unbearable
Kanye West
2/5
Way less bad than I thought... lyrics are horrible though
Stevie Wonder
3/5
It's OK... honestly I was expecting more given the name but it was not remarkable
Blur
4/5
Easy to listen to. I was expecting a little bit more than song2, but still quite enjoyable
Dire Straits
4/5
It was quite good! Good combination of voice guitar and occasional synth
Lou Reed
2/5
I think I am allergic to this style if singing/talking the lyrics... which by the way I also don't find particularly interesting
Amy Winehouse
3/5
Her voice had really something special to it... quite pleasant in the background but I wouldn't seek it
Magazine
3/5
Meh... for some reason it sounds a bit older than when it was actually recorded. I mean it's not horrible but a bit samey. It's sometimes difficult to tell when one song ends and the next starts
Muddy Waters
3/5
Eagles
4/5
The eagles are soaring high! A bit confused by waste of time, I genuinely had to check Spotify to see why I suddenly got into Disney soundtracks
Dr. Octagon
3/5
Did you know that Dr. Octagon can treat moose bumps and gorilla acne!? It is so weird that it almost makes me get over the hip hop crap. But the lyrics... oh wow
The Kinks
2/5
From "the kinks" I was expecting something more kinky than an "afternoon tea"... the whole album seems recorded from afar, not just temporally, but also as distance from the microphone.
Kanye West
3/5
A better Kanye than the last. Actually I did not mind it. Lyrics are still a bit weird but not ad much as the last album
GZA
1/5
This is a big fat resounding no for me. Couldn't finish.
Lou Reed
3/5
Good job Lou, this time you are not insufferable!
The Residents
3/5
Delightfully weird. Loved the duck laughing song, the lizard accident. Best two happy birthday songs ever. What an amazing cacophony of screeching and unexpected sounds... it definitely broadend my horizons. Only problem is a bit slow paced and too long.
The Undertones
3/5
Pleasant but not groundbreaking... I mean it was alright
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
3/5
Likes the occasional organ, interesting instrumental parts and solos. Not super memorable
Queen
4/5
Good stuff. Not their peak though, I think
Led Zeppelin
3/5
Not bad at all! Was expecting a little bit more energy
Fun Lovin' Criminals
2/5
This is so repetitive and low entropy... definitely does not match my vibe.
Curtis Mayfield
3/5
Meh... I barely remember after only one day
The Jam
3/5
David Bowie
4/5
Clean, pleasant, it stands out reaching higher levels when compared to most of the other albums so far
Bruce Springsteen
3/5
I mean, cannot really complain about anything specific. Not my jam but I don't hate it either
Minor Threat
2/5
Too punky. The songs are barely distinguishable
Richard Thompson
2/5
The lowest bpm I heard in a while. So mellow and low it actively makes me less productive and lazy.
Missy Elliott
3/5
I like how miss Elliot goes from the deep monologue about self growth to "shaking her booty on the dance floor", "I need to shave my chocha" and "go downtown and eat like a volture" in a matter of minutes. It was quite enjoyable for an hip hop album
Eminem
4/5
I never thought I would say this, but I actually enjoyed a hip hop album. From the lyrics to the music, this was quite entertaining. It even got me a bit emotional with Dido :'(
John Lennon
3/5
Lacks a bit of a kick. Not unpleasant but a bit boring
The Dandy Warhols
3/5
The first half seems almost whispered. Much better from the second half. Quite enjoyable overall
Ali Farka Touré
3/5
Warabeee chiri so corasaaa! Having one riff for the entire song gets a bit repetitive, but I like the mood.
David Bowie
3/5
Not the David Bowie I was expecting, but an interesting one still. No songs were particularly catchy or memorable. Lots of instrumental parts, little singing
Elliott Smith
3/5
Good one but a bit mellow. Nice sound though
Lorde
4/5
I hate to say it, but it turns out I don't mind pop
Prefab Sprout
2/5
I don't know what is it but I find this quite annoying. Almost feels like the soundtrack of a TV series or old movie. What bothers me most is that I can't really point out what bothers me.
Eels
4/5
This was actually quite good. I like how the play with the instrument location. For some reason the singer is ofter on the right and guitar on the left. Only complaint: a bit mellow at times.
Talvin Singh
4/5
This album brought me places... I was constantly playing the game of guessing how certain sounds were made and what kind of instrument were used. Loved the second song specifically
Ella Fitzgerald
3/5
Loooong... and quite repetitive. I don't hate the vibe though. Could work as a background in some occasions
The Cars
3/5
I almost like it. Good vibes, within the realm of my favourite genres, but... just a bit tamed and pale :(
Radiohead
5/5
Songs go from good to masterpiece. One of the few groups that is actually able to make me feel something. The only one so far I listened to twice, and I will probably listen to again
Tori Amos
3/5
The Byrds
3/5

The Smiths
3/5

3/5
Funky stuff! I liked the first songs more then the last
The Rolling Stones
