Gorillaz
GorillazKnew the singles from back in the day, had not heard the full LP beforehand. It's interesting, cause before today Clint Eastwood was the highlight, but Rock The House took the spot today from today. The ending track was annoying.

After first listen, side A classic, side B needs a bit of time to get used to. Geddy's voice is fine.
There are nice elements in this album(specially the backing vocals) , but the reverb at some points is too much for my liking. Maybe it would've been revelating to listen when it was released, but as it is right now it's just a palate cleanser
So far this is the first one that I've heard it beforehand in full and it's a 10, no much more to say, everyone in Floyd was at top of their game in the studio for the recording of this album.
Jazz does not interest me in a full LP form. I just need to listen to it more before having a fair judgement
Music is alright, not something I would get out of my way to hear, maybe a greatest hits type of thing.
I had heard Loveless and Nowhere and see elements of that in here, but I prefer more focused lyrics. At times it works especially on the title track. But sometimes I want to hear something I can relate to.
I feel like in the one listen I had it has something to offer but I just can't relate to it. I liked some songs on the first listen but it was more subdued than what I'd want to. And that's fine, but just not for me to listen in a full album.
I'd say that it's a pretty unremarkable album, one that has been lost in time to the wayside of better artists, it has good instrumentation, but I feel like it has a Morrissey wannabe without having the lyrical prowess of Moz. However it does not have the magic of Marr too. Bongos to fill up the sound at times was a good decision. Having synth sax was not, do the real thing.
Great orchestration, it was a soothing experience, but I think I need more time to get it 8/10
A hood classic Nas showing lyrical prowess impressive to his age at the time of recording.
Influential indie rock album from the UK that inspired the mid 90s britpop scene well crafted pop songs, Looking Glass has nice lyrics but the length is not justified. Nice tempo change to finish, impressive drummer to not let it out of control. I had heard this album years ago and while the singles are the strongest of the bunch(There she goes, Feelin) it is a consistent listen. Maybe someone shouldve said Lee Mavers(lead singer/acoustic guitar) to not strum as hard as he did. But maybe that's part of the charm of the band.
Starts strong, but after a while it gets tiring. Maybe that was their intention.
Hotel California is popular for a reason, but it doesn't speaks to me wholly. The singles bang, victim of love verses are alright, but the chorus falters. The rest were okish but without a low light. 7/10
