Jun 15 2026

Not sure I have ever properly listened to 'Everybody Hurts' before, or perhaps it just hits different now I am a little older, but oh my, what an absolutely incredible song. What an incredible album from start to finish.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Jun 16 2026

Struggled with what to rate this one as Tiny Dancer is an incredible song, and somewhat special to me also. But the rest of the album beyond that? It was just.. ok? Maybe slamming out album after album in quick succession doesn't create masterpieces.

Triangle by The Beau Brummels
Jun 18 2026

There’s too many 60’s and 70’s rock albums on this list. I fear this album is getting a lower rating purely based on the fact I feel like I’ve heard this album about 20 times already.

Done By The Forces Of Nature by Jungle Brothers
Jun 19 2026

Yessss, this album is like a breath of fresh air after a string of 70's rock albums, so perhaps I went into this hungry for variety. Added a couple songs from this album to my playlists!

Pretenders by Pretenders
Jun 22 2026

The singles are good, and very much sound like the 80's to me - but rest of album is kinda forgettable.

The White Room by The KLF
Jul 10 2026

Really cool, I'm glad this list has exposed this to me

Jul 13 2026

There's alot of Bob Dylan on this list. This is another good album, but I fear I have heard one so I have heard them all - Mr tambourine man is a good song.

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Jul 14 2026

I honestly loved this, it put me in the best mood. What incredible songs, all of them.

Heroes to Zeros by The Beta Band
Jul 15 2026

It just all sounded the same and I am not sure why it's on this list tbh.

Jul 17 2026

I found this so boring. But it feels too harsh to do any less than a 2 as I can appreciate it's probably someone's cup of tea.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Jul 20 2026

One of the best albums ever.

Tommy by The Who
Jul 21 2026

It was very theatrical, couple of good songs. Overall wouldn't put it on again.

Black Metal by Venom
Jul 22 2026

I understand why this made the list, I do like listening to sorta origin albums - it's clear this was at the start of an incredible era of music. Theres a couple songs I liked too! But overall it's not something I would put on again.

Mothership Connection by Parliament

Looved this funk album! Will definitely pop it on again at some point.

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Aug 10 2026

This is rock and roll music - very cool for some, not for all. It’s good. Better than other rock albums from the same era in my opinion

American Gothic by David Ackles
Aug 12 2026

It’s not for me. I don’t think it deserves hate…. But it really dosnt belong on this list does it?

Aug 14 2026

Oh what an album, so many big hits and this really defined an era in music. It's just not for me though, I can appreciate it, but probably won't be going to da club again anytime soon.

Trans Europe Express by Kraftwerk
Aug 19 2026

I mean, you have to respect it. Super nerdy synth music at it's finest. Also, in this modern day it's funny because its kind of become pretentious record shop music hasnt it?

Want One by Rufus Wainwright
Aug 20 2026

I didnt mind it apart from his voice, sometimes a voice just goes straight through you. I couldnt even have it as background music his voice was annoying me so much.
