I have stated earlier this year that I never need or want to hear Money for Nothing ever again. There are more interesting albums by them.

Contains some of their last classic heavy metal level songs. A mix stylistically. Has two songs from their Greatest Hits in Killer Queen and Now I'm Here. Has a last song that you'll be singing for hours after, and is a sure fire guarantee to get an arena singing along to.
Classic suburban rock opera
Ambitious, complex. Loved the jazz tuba/contrabass trombone Not easy listening. Probably not going to return to it, but glad to have heard it
Overblown. Aside from a few songs, was dull and unimaginative
What an amazing, emotive, soulful voice. Such a tight backing band, and backing singers.
The first track had an interesting rock opera vibe, that most of the other songs didn't emulate. A couple of the later songs had disappointing fade-outs that seemed to show a lack of imagination.
I bought this album when it came out on the strength of Song 2, but also on the back of owning Parklife. This is musically complex and interesting, with strange and at times discordant sounds. It is probably a few songs too long.
The sound quality of the Trinity church where the recording occurred is very evident. The songs are slow and atmospheric, but as a result a bit boring in my opinion. I was hoping for a bit more to draw me in. Sweet Jane the obvious highlight. A surprise hit back in 1988
Makes some of the generally awful Christmas standards relatively listenable to.
This was brighter and more melodic than I was expecting. More enjoyable and easy to listen to as a result. Probably not going to become a regular listen, but glad to have experienced it.
Long black veil, The Weight and I Shall be Released highlights but I wouldn't seek out the other songs for a listen again.
Echo, reverb, synths, lots of toms in the drums. Has a distinct 80s sound, which is not a bad thing, but gets a bit much over 40 minutes. The Hanging Garden is the highlight.
Good melodies, and a bit more restraint in her vocals lead to a pleasant listen.
You can't plagiarise yourself... A few classics, and a more songs that sound a bit, or a lot like those classics but not as good. I think a best of T-Rex would suit me fine.
There is a definite blues influence to this, and maybe some jazz, but they went in a new direction with the harder sound and the awesome rhythms and cadences. Great album. Warning did bring the rating down a star. Way too long, too bluesy and an overlong guitar solo.
Was pleasantly surprised to hear a mix of styles. Also surprised about the amount of religious references. Lovely voice, nice melodies
I don't know what this band was trying to achieve. There are some nice melodies and pop sensibilities mixed with arty nonsense.
Private dancer and Better be good to me were surprise highlights on an album that seemed dated in production style on many songs. Also a surprising number of covers and all of them weren't as good as the original.
Didn't like this one. Too much distortion and fuzz.
Nearly all killer, no filler on this one.
An angry album featuring unwell people was not to my taste
Has a few good songs, but unfortunately this is a band where the Best of would be my go to album
Music hall and musical theatre are an obvious influence here, but I think I prefer artists such as Harry Nilsson, Freddy Mercury and Paul McCartney, who also wrote songs in a similar style, better.
Lovely funky soul
Well produced, but not to my taste
My parents had this album
A bit samey. Not one I'd return to.
Grand, theatrical.
I bought this CD in ...1997 I think. Haven't listened to it in a long time, but I'm looking forward to a revisit
Another complex, theatrical and diverse '70s album. Solsbury Hill I realised is a really good song. Worth a relisten
Another rock opera adjacent album. Complex but still mostly interesting
Very samey, and not in a way that I found enjoyable.
Melodic, angsty, enjoyable
Has a nice mix of blues with African rhythms
Better than I was expecting. I was familiar with two songs, and I like them. I realised I knew another song during the listen that I liked too. The other songs had interesting melodies and production too.
Complex, well crafted... But not my taste, at least at the time I listened to this...
Good... But there are better versions of most of these songs imo
It was ok.
I like some of his stuff a lot. Not this one though.
Well produced pop, but not my style of pop I couldn't help while listening to think about her mental health issues, the many (mostly) older men who controlled her life, and struggles with gaining independence. This made for a sadder listen than the songs would otherwise warrant.
Maybe not their best album, but still a good one
One of my older brothers bought this album in the 70s so I have been listening to it and enjoying it nearly all my life. I can't think of a better application of the word masterpiece than to this album.
A bit too psychedelic for me.
I prefer Odelay, but this is pretty good.
Dial the angst up to 11 and crank it.
It did take a few listens to start to appreciate this when I bought it as a CD in my 20s, but it hasn't lost anything in the many years since. This is a truly great album.
I thought I'd be more interested, but the overly long songs did not impress
Still holds up well
I really wanted to like this more than I did. Unfortunately I found it a bit boring.
One of my older brothers got this for me for my birthday. I'd never heard of him, and they usually bought me a record they wanted for themselves. Lucky for me my brother's have good taste in music. This is a good one.
Bought this when it was a new release. Hadn't heard it in years and it wasn't as good as I remembered
I can see that bands like The Offspring would have loved this album. I'm not a big fan of bands like that...
This was unlike anything I had heard before when it came out.
Couple of classics, but overall sounds like a first album from a band with potential, but who haven't worked it out yet.
I prefer the sun sessions for early stuff, and his later stuff in general better than this. But it's still Elvis
The version on Amazon music is a live concert. The audience talk and interaction with Paul Weller was interesting, the band was quality but the sound wasn't great. I don't know why there wasn't a studio version as that would have sounded better. I think that many of their songs have aged poorly, due to the pointed politics that is so closely being critical of Margaret Thatcher. Looking at their catalogue I think I could make a great album of songs with a mix of singles and album cuts. I don't know why Luck is not on any of their compilations. It's a vibrant pop love song.
I wanted to like this, but it was a big disappointment
Like a soundtrack to a movie that hasn't been made.
For such a well regarded album, I was expecting more.
Three beautiful voices but the old style country song choices were disappointing. It didn't hold my attention despite the talent involved.
First U2 album I bought. I went to see them when they toured the album. I became a big fan along with a lot of my friends. I don't listen to them anymore. I last saw them live on the Popmart tour. This is a good album, and I enjoyed revisiting it.
The further the album went on the less I liked it. I thought it started quite well
Not a patch on Ella
A bit too melancholic for me
