1-Already more instrumentally upbeat than funeral but the lyrics are kinda gloomy and dark, love the chorus and bridge
2-Insane transition already. Key change?, not as great alone but so far great at creating an overall listening experience or identiy
3-Ending the last with being ready to start and now having to wait, great songwritting, repeating imagery, bleak as shit great so far in company of the other 2.
The second half I would have to eventually relisten to the same care but overall it gave a feel of contemporary moral apocalypse.
Nothing that made me drop my hat but overall inmaculate vibes. 3.5
Lil'Ghetto boy is the most interesting produced one IMO. 10 track wack. The soundscape overall great and highly influential, the lyrics can stay there.
Not here for the skits, produce the opposite of what he's trying to portray
The art cover really sounds like the first track and I would bet the rest of the album, so far an interesting soundscape.
Vibing a lot more with the second track
The name-sake single is clearly a stand-out
It felt a bit repetitive but it picked up again, not my usual listening choice but for sure a great album
Liked how the backing vocals were produced. Left feeled overall overwholmed and like it didn't evolve or change enough
First half: I like the sound and the overall vibes but for now it doesn't offer a diverse listening experience
A good thing to point out is how even if the individual tracks carry the same sound each one feels like it could be enjoyed on it's own.
Incredible evolution in the fourth track, overall a solid and clear idea for the soundscape, wanted it to explore it further.
Loved the ending track of the original release of this LP, bleak.
I don't like how the vocal performance matches with the lyrics and instrumentation to which I'm vibing more with.
It does acomplish at making the listener wander off while listening.
Left feeling super overwhelmed specially as someone who enjoys shoegaze.
needle of death and the instrumental tracks were my favourite
Incredible debut for one of the best artists and poets of this generation
Love the chambery feel of the firsts tracks and then it lost my interest a bit, still really liked it, 3.5 to a 4
They weren't there yet with the balance of tragedy, playfullness and despair we now associate with the smiths in their lyrics but the sound was there and it is very recognizable theirs. The second half of the Lp I like a lot more I think
Having this much of an identity as a band on your second lp is insane the big country, found a job and take me to the river are the standouts
Think I'm descovering something I vibe with that I didn't knew I vibe this much with before. You're a beast made me so uncomfortable I had to stop the listening tho. A good thing? a bad thing? I don't think it was well executed nor poingnant as the rest of the LP, saddens me that it sours what was being a perfect listening experience. I think the satire befomes a little bit snobish.
Underwhelming, second track is awful
Vibing with the sound from the get-go, 3 tracks so far that I think were really good. Solid.
Listened to the 2 hour version, the highlights for me were the instrumentals
I liked the vibe, lost me a bit with the duration of some of the tracks but it's surprising this came before the 80's, notes of pink floyd, joy division and new order.
Solid, interesting, a lot of variety
Great start and great ending, the sound is great but I wanted something more
What a vibe, really good vocals
Really good listening experience
3.5 at points it faded into the background but I really like the sound
Did not enjoy nearly as much as blue, love the voice.
Fine, lacked variety for most of the time
It does not become stale with a duration of more than 3 hours which is a hard thing to accomplish
Varied, interesting soundscape
Liked it, some features not so much
Absolutely deligtful, eclectic, baroque.
Faded a bit into the background but I liked the sound overall
Love the general feeling, not their best work but surely a great one
Strong start, I was UP from the first set of sounds, amazing repertoire and just strong energy. Loved it
Soothing, fell asleep listening to it and revisited it the other day
Nice sound, wanted a bit more from the vocals
Loved from the beginning, the sound, the voice, the variety
Really good listening experience.
vibe a hell of a lot with this one, reminded me of bikini kill.
Modern classic, amazing storytelling
Like the start, reminds me of AJJ, of course looking for a more polished form than a folk punk project usually does. Really liked it!
Slowly realizing with this project that I really vibe with psychedelic music. Not that much with this album in particular.
Pretty annoying and devoid of anything that particularly interests me.
Great track flow but very juvenile
Started very promising but I lost a bit of interest
I don't know what I was expecting but scooby doo chase music wasn't it, and YVZ was a vibe, camera eye too.
Good opening, the instrumentation acompany really well the lyrics. Love the sound, it makes it up for the pretty simple lyricism. Track connection ups the overall narrative.
I liked it, not blown away with it but it made me want to put as more of a priority listening to dylan's discography
Liked more the experience than the movie version.
Strong start. It was fine, liked the vibe but overall a bit underwhelmed.
Loved the lyricism and the performance
14 year old me would've gone crazy with this sound. It was good, nothing surprising neither in a positive or a negative manner.
Not too crazy about this one
Reminded me of radiohead's sound
Nothing much to say, it was okay
didn't do a lot for me, but it sounded good
I don't know if I ever listened to it from the top. Was vibing hard but I didn't like the third track cecilia, even if it does add variety, and from there I just never fully reconected.
Not much to say, I like country and I like dolly, a good listen
I don't know how to feel, I liked the sound but it doesn't seem that interesting or nuanced.
The most medium listen so far
first six tracks, insomniac, vibing a lot and making my night more vearable, really good storytelling, has a conventional storytelling style but it's not stale so far. Could use less slurs. Also the end of respect grossed me out and made me drop the rating and then the last one fucking killed it for me, disgusting.
Vibing hard, unexpectedly horny lyrics
Nice vocals, a bit dull but enjoyable
Nice sound, not a lot to say
vibed hard but lacked edge
liked it more than the one before from zz top, fine
it was okay, I want to check more of their work
Too much fade to black but has a couple of bangers
Love them. Once in a lifetime is one of the bangers of all time
Can see a lot of inspirations of LPs that I love coming from this one
Found it deeply uninteresting
overall very enjoyable, some tracks more than others
Fine, nothing crazy but I liked some of the tracks
Did not expect the reggae sound
Favourite african lp so far
Nice country record. Boomer boygenius
way more enjoyable than I expected
Not a lot that standed out in this one
Did not find it interesting
I like Elton's voice but for me the lp lacked a bit of edge
Windmills of your mind goat and great orchestation
The vocals are insane as kate bush usually delivers, but I wanted to like it more. Houdini slaps.
Really interesting production.
Amazing track flow and soundscape
Not as much of a fan as with master of puppets but good sound and cohesion
Faded into the background
Better track flow than I expected
Cohesive, not a track that sticked out as bad
Nice sounding but a bit dull
I dont like that all the tracks fade to black, is a good sound and a nice mood tho
Loved the sound, wanted more variety
Sounded like argentinian rock at the beggining. It's okay
Nice sound overall, some older punk
I liked it, more experimental than I expected
Not much to Say about this one, first ambient album I encounter here, it was Nice
Really dig it, want to hear more trip hop
Such a vibe, great soundtrack
Forgotten how it sounded so it was a Nice throwback
Liked it, glad to hear Kurt's banter between songs
I liked it, congruent and short
A vibe but nothing too exciting
Better than lust for life
Obviously very remminiscent of his work on the beatles, but I vibe a lot with it
Kinda apocaliptic at times, interesting and original
First dark jazz, I liked it
I love Lana, my personal favourites are NFR and Did You know there's a tunnel under ocean boulevard, which I hope gets added in latter additions.
Surprised me for the better
I want to listen to everything by her by now
Interesting sound but it didn't wow me
Love the sound. Brings me back to My adolescence
Nice sounding but not that interesting
Interesting but a bit boring
Did not vibe as much as I usually do with funk
I liked it more than the previous record I got from them
Fine but it didn't wow me
A clear idea well executed
Really good and on my field
Interesting prog psychedelia record
I liked it But not as much as the suburbs
