Great throwback. I think the production at times doesn't help it but the craft is too good.
Really cool, fun, semi experimental live album.
The first half of this is really solid but the back half is a real mess.
Crazy Man Michael? More like Crazy Man Dave cause this drove me crazy. This sucked.
It's fun to hear Elton and Bernie not deliberately trying to write "hits".
This is more interesting than I thought it would be going in but still not great.
I get it but it's not for me. I prefer the watered down version (Coldplay).
Went into this blind. Really fun! Cool merging of brit pop, new wave, and a little jazz.
I like the idea of Megadeth. I don't like Megadeth.
I hear the influences on modern music but I also didn't enjoy listening to this.
Me and Hilary down by the schoolyard
I like the beats. This would be better if it was all instrumental.
This kind of rips. So much better than Peace Sells.
The singles are solid but most of the album sounds like a bad soundtrack to a mid movie
Gets better each listen. Stylish vibes without being over the top. Sexy Boy is not great but the rest of the album makes up for it.
Exactly as described. If I heard this in an airport, it would probably brighten my mood.
Some cool ideas here but this isn’t for me. Maybe if I watched Wizard of Oz or something I would feel differently. Probably not though.
Can’t imagine a scenario where I would want to put this on again.
A bit uneven but some pleasant surprises. Real 2003 energy
Pleasant but nothing really stood out to me.
So awesome. When I was younger, I thought Nine Inch Nails was just clinks and clanks but this is powerful. Ending on a cover of Hurt is a flex and works so well.
Pleasant! Wouldn’t mind this on in the background while doing work
I did not enjoy listening to this. Maybe someone else would, but there are no vibes here.
Interesting album and almost feels timeless. Not sure if I would go back to it anytime soon though
Enjoy the psychedelic parts of this but way too up and down for me
A compilation album that doesn’t feel like a compilation album. Super cool.
This album is a mood but I don’t see myself going back to it.
Had to leave off a star for the lack of Kokomo
I’d like to think that even in 1957 I would have found this corny as hell
This is more of a 2.5 but rounding up because I would be delighted if this was playing in a coffee shop or between sets at a concert.
Too corny for my liking but generally well done. Needs more shredding.
A+ cover art. Some interesting elements of punk in this but still somehow bland.
First song rips but the rest of the album is really average to miss.
The mix of funk and pop generally works alongside stellar production. It’s easy to see why he is a legend.
Solid debut album. Nothing particularly stands out here but that’s not a bad thing
Lots of killer and little filler. Surprised I liked this as much as I did. I don’t think I’ll be going back to it any time soon but am glad I listened to it.
Maybe not the worst band in the world, but definitely not good.
Really uneven but there is enough that clicks here.
Feels like I’m walking into an art gallery and I’m not really sure what I’m looking at. I go to art galleries all of the time.
Really cool and innovative but if I’m being honest, I don’t really connect with it. Triumph of a Heart almost pushed me to give this an extra star though cause that’s a solid beat.
Solid album! No real stand out songs but I would be happy to listen to this again if someone put it on.
Gimme Shelter is a stone cold classic. The rest of this is pretty good.
There were parts I like but a lot I couldn’t mess with.
Despite all my rage, this album is still a Dave fave
The singles are so good that it kind of drowns out the rest of the album. But the rest isn’t bad!
It’s loud but not enough jams
Not as advertised. These songs are all sad.
Really fun power pop! A few songs drag but more bangers than not.
Boring! Psychedelic noodling is the worst kind of noodling.
I don’t know what to do with this
Much like Meryl Streep's relationships with Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin in a hit 2000's movie, it's complicated.
Lots of interesting ideas here and while it doesn’t always work or drags at times, it’s a great listen
Production is solid but this doesn’t click for me
I like a lot of parts of this album and I really don't like a lot of parts of this album.
Better than I thought this would be!
Not all of this works for me but the parts that do are undeniable
Really not into the vocals but the rest of it kind of hits.
I groaned after every song saying “this sucks”
An emotionless void of an album that is saved by really good production and a few pop hits
Cool ideas but it doesn’t really work
This is fine. It’s not unlistenable but it’s also very middle of the road.
The production is cool but not a fan of the music itself
Excuse I for my skanking, give thanks and praise
Alright is a classic and the rest is pretty good. A few songs that could be cut from this.
Not completely unlistenable but borderline
Not exactly my cup of tea but feels pretty cool and experimental for the time it came out.
This seems like it would have been so much fun to see in the moment. It translates well on audio.
Morrissey is a real anchor to this one dragging the rest of the band down
Album still rips and defined a generation of modern punk/pop-punk.
I assume this is what cocaine sounds like
This is pleasant. Not sure I would go back to it but didn’t mind listening to it.
Another psych rock album, another 2.
It's fine. A few really good songs mixed with a lot of filler masked in a concept album.
Some of the back half is pretty weak but overall solid
Have to be in the right mood for this but it hits
Morrissey is still a tool but there are some good songs here.
This is harmless but weak for a songwriter of his caliber
Oasis but not. I didn’t need to listen to this before I died but here we are.
Should be renamed the whack album
Some good songs but way too long.
I have no room in my beefheart for this
I could see this hitting at the right moment
Some good songs and solid production but there is a lot to dislike about this album.
Better than I was expecting but still kind of boring.
Really cool and feels very modern. Don't think I would actively go back and listen but interesting enough.
The biggest compliment I can give is that the orchestra and Metallica don't step on each others toes. That said, it's way too long and the whole premise is kind of lame.
Lots to like. You could make the case it’s a bit too long but it all works so well
Some fun songs but a bit uneven
Starts off strong but tails off
There is an interesting album in here. This is not that.
I don’t know what to do with this
Just what I love when I listen to music… satire.
The Britpop of this really sours the rest of the music. A lot of interesting layers of sound here ruined by try-hard vocals.
Great album but the skits really kill the flow
Great album but the skits really kill the flow
They thrive when they are doing margaritaville style music.
Some bangers but mostly not.
More interesting than enjoyable
Very self indulgent but still listenable
Jimmy Fallon dances to this in his living room every night. Every. Night.
Seems like it would be really cool to experience this live, but I don’t think it translates as well when recorded
A little long for what it is but there are a couple of jams on here
Pleasant but nothing particularly stands out
There is no reason for this to be on this list.
Some interesting concepts followed by some real duds
Fun but kind of repetitive. Also there is no need for the Aerosmith song.
This would probably be a 3 if it was not so long.
Cool use of sound at times but still very bland
The songs are fine. Production is really muddled. Liked it less as it went along
This is ok. The back half of the album is more interesting than the first.
There is so much to like here but it takes too much time to get there.
Good for a debut album but ultimately I enjoy how their sound evolves in the future.
Some good bleeps and solid boops
Designed in a lab to piss me off
A lot of the same but the singles are good
There is too much of this.
I hate that this album is so good
The Zutons should have killed this album.
Really one of the best debut albums
