Abbey Road
BeatlesI remember listening to this album at night when I was a kid. Golden slumbers still gives me goosebumps. Amazing album
I remember listening to this album at night when I was a kid. Golden slumbers still gives me goosebumps. Amazing album
Great beats. Didnβt like it that much overall
Great album! But the last song got me scratching my head - where did the cow come from and what does it have to do with farting power pussy
This one didnβt click with me. Production is good, but I didnβt like the style overall. Guess itβs my mathematics phd and lack of verbal intelligence
Energetic and creative Always liked ms Jackson, but never listened to the whole album before. B.O.B is π₯π₯π₯
I found the style of vocals a little bit annoying. I know it supposed to be emotional and soft, but to me it sounded kinda whiny. Not a bad album but not something I would listen to again
Sunday Bloody Sunday and New Yearβs Day are great, havenβt listened them in a long time. The rest of the album is alright, but man was I bored in the second half.
Itβs ok as a background music, I guessβ¦ very bland Itβs like a mix between bob Dylanβs vocal style, arcade fire-ish melodies and the most basic indie rock sound. Not one song stood out to me, an hour long kick-snare-kick and lots of reverb
Not as great as their later albums imo, but still pretty good, especially considering it's a debut
Minimalistic, high energy, unique style. The only song I knew from the band was psycho killer, now Iβm definitely gonna listen to the whole discography
itβs an automatic 5/5 for me. Such a raw, beautiful set. Π·Π°Π΅Π±ΡΠΌΠ±Π°.
Loved the vibe. Dreamy, psychedelic, easy listen
Beach elderly men I felt warmth in my heart
Itβs good as a background music for moving images. Itβs funky and stuff, but why tf is it on 1001 greatest albums list? In the words of shaft, man an hour long soundtrack of some 70s tv series on this list come on you gotta be kidding me. Never seen shaft
heβs a monkey
Bland but listenable
Simple and genius songwriting, awesome drums. Love every song from this record
I donβt like price. Sometimes he sounds like heβs masturbating while recording, other times he sounds like a squealing pig. I tried getting into his music before, but itβs just not for me. this album is alright tho, mainly because of the closer
acoustic live version of hotel California song is better
Sympathy for the devil is great, the rest of the album is meh
Good songwriting, but old-timey mixing made it sound boring to me
My kind of dancing music Made me bounce on my butt Great way to start friday
Lame
Fun
Didnβt know this album wasnβt live They got me
Look at that smug face lol Not a fan, it has a couple of pretty good songs tho
Interesting album Orange crush stood out, great song
Itβs alright. Nothing mindblowing
Another day, another rem album. This oneβs pretty good
Kinda boring. I donβt get Springsteen
First time listening to this band, great album. Melodic and beautiful, definitely gonna check out their other albums
Paul is the goat
Wow, what a great album. I used to listen to I wanna be adored back in the day, only now Iβm finding out this album has so many more gems.
Damn, itβs like she was born heartbroken. Good for a debut
No need to get high for this album, this album IS the high
the most energetic nostalgia trip Iβve ever experienced
Good stuff
Expected more tbh
Sounds like a boring jam session for the most part
thatβs much better than what Iβve expected from a 1985 album that is trying to blend pop and noise. Post punk sounding vocals, hypnotic guitar noises and catchy pop melodies. Great album
Bland βnβ Boring And Bobβs yer uncle
Sounds uninspired. Such a boring album⦠I WAS A LIiiiOOoN
The lyrics are a bit weird in some songs
Great stuff
Rudderless and my drug buddy stood out, the rest is meh
Fun album, loved it in my teenage years. That tempo shif part of take me out still rocks
Not a fan of Elvis
Raw energy and catchy melodies
Three days is great, the rest I didnβt enjoy that much
Wouldnβt it be nice if every album was as great as this one
Good but a bit repetitive
Fun and new wavey
couple of great songs, a little over the top with emotions at points
Instrumentals are interesting at times. The style reminded me of father John misty, but the album felt bland overall
I remember listening to this album at night when I was a kid. Golden slumbers still gives me goosebumps. Amazing album
Not my thing
Never listened to their earlier stuff. Pretty good
Fun and grungy, but gets old quickly
Not bad, but nothing special
The album sounds amazing, the songs were not that memorable to me though
Beautiful voice, boring songs
Vibe
Pretty interesting, couple of good songs. Didnβt like it that much
This album made my day. So many great beats, funny, touching moments and surprises throughout
Perfect album for Saturday morning coffee
Kinda hated it tbh
Badass
Didnβt hate it, but didnβt friend anything interesting in it either
This guyβs pretty good
Funky
Itβs alright, not really my thing
Instrumentals were great, but I didnβt like the vocal style
Great songwriting. Loved this album with the exception of 2-3 songs that sounded outdated
Half of the songs on this album I LOVE - pyramid song, you and whose army, life in a glasshouse etc. but the rest of the album feels too experimental and b-sidey
LA LA LALALAA LA LA LALALA
Meh
His singing style is so goofy, I laughed out loud a couple of times during this album. Still enjoyed some of the songs, but surprisingly not mr tambourine man, even though itβs my favourite of his - didnβt like this version of it at all
So happy to see this as my album of the day. Timeless
Separate art from the artist challenge, level: hard
That solo in free bird is always exciting to hear. The album is alright, not something I usually listen to
I was going to give this album a 4, since I only remembered two songs from it, and they were fantastic. I ended up really enjoying all the songs that got overshadowed by Lazarus and blackstar for me on previous listens. Itβs now one of my favourite Bowie albums.
Has its highs and lows. Lyrics are great as always. Singing style was way too weird for me on some songs. Not my favourite of his
Smooth, usually donβt like this type of music, but dire straits is an exception
Interesting at points, but didnβt like it that much
I was expecting Dayman, fighter of the Nightman, to appear at some point
Meh. Not my thing
Hypnotic album, flied by really fast
It's the third Rolling Stones album I've listened to, and it always goes the same way - there are a couple of great songs, but everything else is just forgettable
Nice
Nostalgic album for me, his music used to get me through some tough times. Still enjoy it
Chill album, harmonic vocals
Fun album, but most songs are forgettable. Beetlebum, song 2 and death of a party are great
Boring ass album
Perfect for a sunny and warm Sunday morning. If there are any more 3 hour albums on this list, itβd better be someone as magnificent as Ella Fitzgerald. Btw, itβs amusing that the most popular review here is basically calling people whoβs giving it a 5 spineless and giving it a 1 in βprotestβ
Meh. Pretty consistent for a live album, I guess
That solo from comfortably numb is my all time favourite. Great album
Goofy, fun, doesnβt overstay its welcome
Itβs much better than what I was expecting based off of the album cover
Never really got into pearl jam for some reason. It sounds alright, I feel like I would like it much more if I listened to it in my high school days
Not my thing
fun album - had a tough time with it though cause youβre not allowed to dance on a plane.
Smooth
I liked his debut album better. This one felt boring. The partisan is pretty good
Definitely not garbage
Pleasant voice, nice instrumentals. Not something you need to listen to before you die though
Havenβt listened to it since high school, time for nostalgia. Holiday and boulevard of broken dreams are π₯
Energetic and fun
Banger after banger. Itβs corny, but thatβs expected from new metal. Teenage me would give it a 10/10
How do you even write music like this, itβs like creating hurricane with sound
Pretty good. enjoyable funky instumentals, but some songs overstay their welcome
Great album overall, though The Party is such an annoying song. Everything else is lovely, on par with daft punk for me
Timeless
Soulful
Pretty good stuff
Fun album
Not bad
Not the best reggae Iβve heard
That was pretty fun
Couple of good songs, didnβt like the album that much
Contagiously energetic performance
Interesting mix of genres
Great beats. Didnβt like it that much overall
Groovy
One of the few country albums I actually enjoyed
Yesterday I got Waylon Jennings album and thought βhey, maybe i was wrong about country all alongβ. I wasnβt. Not my genre
Imaginative and crazy fun
Trippy. Production sounds great for 1967
Meh. Some tracks were alright, but that light my fire cover was garbage and kinda ruined the mood
Bland af
Beautiful harmonies. Some songs were a little too old timey for me, but great album overall
Pretty cool
Meh
Fun album, love the diversity of styles
Ok for background
Oh no, not another country album.
Love miles Davis, but this one was kinda disappointing. Sounds like heβs just testing the waters with electric music
Beautiful instrumentals. the style reminds me of bjork, wouldnβt be surprised if she was inspired by this
He said Coca Cola
Meh. Got nothing out of this one. Cool hairstyle i guess
This was fun
Nothing mindblowing. Heart of gold is pretty good
He lost his hair but not his soul
Lovely. Nostalgic vibes
Soulful lyrics and beautiful instrumentals. Inspiring stuff
Crazy Sturdy A tor Pedo
Dancing in my chair rn
Sounds like any other hipster indie rock album. Couple of pretty good songs, but nothing special
From the start I was like βhold on, Kendrick sampled this. Iβm all earsβ. Fun album
Doo-doo music. Not extremely bad, but quite annoying
Damn, what a borefest
Not bad. Still not a fan though
Better than expected
Masterful performance
Love vocal harmonies in the back. RIP
Fun album. Y control and Maps are all time favourites
Interesting album, instrumentals are excellent
Meh
Whole lotta bangers
80s youth vibes, pretty good album
Not my genre
Drags for too long at times, but interesting album nonetheless
Love the lyrics. The album sounds like the taste of whiskey on a rainy night
Sounds uninspired
Meh
I usually love psych rock, but this one just annoyed me tbh
Badass western music. Not bad
Itβs alright. Maybe should give it another listen later
Damn, thatβs pretty heavy for 1970
Great atmosphere
Love this album
Boring
Pretty good, but gets kinda boring at some point
Gorillaz is an amazing band, but this album is not their best, even though it has some bangers - tomorrow comes today, Clint Eastwood, 19-2000. I hope demon days and plastic beach are on the list too
Fun mix of everything
I get annoyed by his voice and him breathing through his stupid loud harmonica. Other than that itβs pretty good
Concrete jungle, stir it up and high tide or low tide are great
Not bad, definitely not my favourite doors album
Fun stuff. Especially enjoyed the use of saxophone
These endless noodling solos became unbearable to listen to at some point.
Couple of pretty good songs, the rest is meh. Horny shit made me cringe
This oneβs quite nostalgic - i remember these songs being everywhere
Nice
This album for some reason reminded me of the smelly cat song from friends
Meh. Although I can imagine some of these songs sounding better live
Funky
God damn, didnβt know he recorded the whole album by himself. Respect
Good stuff
Pretty good
Iβm chooglin
I enjoyed the first 3 songs. The rest was kinda boring
Pleasant
My whole life I thought I donβt like black sabbath. Turns out this shit rocks. RIP
Shut up, Tim
Pop music doesnβt get better than this
Fun album innit
Nice
Yay, a music for sad white guys. 5/5
Energetic and fun
