I'm sure this is great for the genre, but it's just not my style.

Some of the singles are fun, but it's probably mostly nostalgia. Not an album I would likely re-listen to.

Good for the genre, just didn't love his voice or get drawn into it personally.

Like some others have said, I must be getting older since I'm enjoying this more. There's definitely an element of nostalgia since I often heard my dad playing this.

Like others have said, the quality of the vocals and music isn't great, but I still have to appreciate this for the sheer energy and being a forerunner of punk. Pretty amazing for 1968 and being a debut album. It was also interesting reading about the controversy around the "MF" in Kick Out the Jams (see Wikipedia).

The '90s, man. Some things I don't miss about that time. This one just wasn't my thing.

Delightful and relaxing album.

Loved the skill of the artistry here, less so the lyrical content. Still, glad I listened since I was a sheltered kid in the '90s.
