Highly Evolved
The VinesFun little time capsule of the early 2000s. All decent songs. I hear a lot of STP on there along with early punk
Fun little time capsule of the early 2000s. All decent songs. I hear a lot of STP on there along with early punk
Just when I think I’m enjoying a riff, I notice it’s a note for note Metallica ripoff played slightly faster. Did not like
Tribe covers a lot of topic, with full emotional range. Every song could be a hit
Every song could be the lead single from its own album. Brilliant
Great, moody record
A practically perfect sonic journey through LA
I don’t get it. Even the famous song that leads off this album is a cover of themselves.
Fun little time capsule of the early 2000s. All decent songs. I hear a lot of STP on there along with early punk
Very nice listen, sounds a bit dated
Brilliant start to finish. The songs with the female vocalist are a nice offset. I got a little sad realizing this was bobs first album without bunny or Peter. Kinda think they should take the word “wailers” out of the title because of that ❤️😢
Psychedelic road trip music. Enjoyed it
Great album, consistent themes in songwriting and tone. I should listen to this at least once per year. It’s against like fine wine
If a shot of still Austin with shiner bock chaser was an album, it’d be tres hombres
Not fun or interesting. With a little more effort it could have been mediocre
Terrific showcase of Cash, the original punk rocker
Somewhere between dinosaur jr and the replacements. Melancholy melody.
Meh. I’m sure it’s very nostalgic for people from that era, but not a timeless album
Love it. So raw, influenced every alt rock band that came after
If Elvis was a cowboy. I don’t mean this in a good way.
Parallel to Ministry. Precursor to NIN. Good recod
Hit singles, hidden gems, and an all-time great finishing track that leaves you wanting more. Costellos view of the world deserves to be heard
Retro punk. Got some DK feel on the first 2 tracks. The rest is very frank black/pixies, which is a good thing
Overall decent album, but a lot of mixed personality. Does it want to be pop/punk/metal/grunge? I’d listen again tho
Kinda fun rock opera type album. No need to listen again, and the hits cannot be avoided on classic rock radio
Terrific album, the organ is a highlight, and every other musician seems to be at their best also. This one should be shared and go into regular rotation
No notes. Every song is great. The songs I’d never heard before just as good as the radio hits. Added to annual rotation.
Ministry and White Zombie already existed, so there was no need for this. Iconic? Sure. Great? Absolutely not.
So soulful
That was a fun flashback
Another phenomenal walk down memory lane. This is the kind of album you share with someone who isn’t very familiar with an all time great band
don’t know how i missed this one. top to bottom excellence. beats, grooves, great singer and MC, heartfelt songs. This is the kind of album you want to share with anyone
Huge pile of meh
a greatest hits album. Christine, Stevie, and Lindsey songwriting clinic
It’s ok. Cannot fathom how it got on a greatest anything of anything list
This is punk. Topical, angry, critical, and melodic enough that it can’t be ignored
Just when I think I’m enjoying a riff, I notice it’s a note for note Metallica ripoff played slightly faster. Did not like
Moody and poignant. All the PJ I knew was from the 90s. Enjoyed and would share this album
Once per year listen, share with anyone who hasn’t heard it. Just when I think they are going abstract the group pulls it back together.
Fun rock album, will listen again
Average 90s indie shoegaze feel sorry for myself songs. If I saw them at a festival back then it would’ve inspired me to go get a beer. From Sacred Attention onward they at least show a little bit of energy. Detuning your guitar does not make you automatically interesting. This is like if Pavement stopped giving a shit but got a record deal anyway
Raw, hard hitting, great songwriting that feels very personal. Would share with most
Fun alt-pop. Road trip album, would share with most people.
Mediocre everything. Who do they even want to be?
Great rock album. Unnecessary cover song, but otherwise loved it. There’s just something about the cult that I enjoy
Terrific Ray, jazzy and swingy with a mix of soul. Would share with anyone
Semi-interesting concept album. No need to listen again, might share with someone who identifies as a witch
Boots and pants and boots and pants and boots and pants and boots and pants and boots and pants and boots and pants Good energy
The theatre kids, taking themselves too seriously, went through a “what if trans Siberian orchestra was into sci fi instead of Christmas?” phase. Nope
Love this album. Can hear many different influences, but the artist isn’t trying to sound like anyone else. Most of all there’s a lot of soul and feeling. I’d share with anyone
Good early cure, goth and moody. not one I could share with most people tho.
Pretty decent new wave album, lots of good songs, would share with some
One of the best. Amazing samples and DJ work. Great rhymes. Already listen at least once per year
Basic rock album with 1 good song. The constant swing from regular to high falsetto was distracting me from the mediocre music
This album sucked me in. Cool mix of blues and folk. Enjoyed my commute. Would share this alhum
The evolution of the white stripes. Great songs. I would share with most people
Harsh on the ear
Typical smiths sound, which I enjoy
Unique. Interesting. Groundbreaking. Deserving of many accolades. None of these should be used to describe this album. Even by 1994 rave standards this is just ok. Also too long.
Start to finish excellent. Maybe the best opening and closing tracks of an album
A deserving addition to the list. So much good blues and African music in there, sometimes melded together. Really glad I listened, this one goes into the rotation
Fun walk down memory lane
Like a greatest hits album, but they have a lot more songs. I’d share this with any rock music fan.
Couple of fun songs, and an hour of backing beats for real songs. No need to listen to this again
It’s fine. First song put me in a coma. The rest were a nice mix of styles, showcasing so much talent.
Terrific arrangements and musicianship. Would play this any time for anyone.
Whiny mediocrity. Never heard them before, never need to hear them again. Could not finish this album.
Interesting. Sometimes jazzy, sometimes like a film score. I enjoyed it, change of pace and tone from what I usually choose to listen to
