Elvis Costello's style is pretty timeless- Pump it Up and Radio, Radio are the still the obvious top tracks.

I've heard of Big Star, but never listened to the band. Great 70's rock groove. I had no idea they wrote "The Street" (Theme to "That 70's Show")

I know very little Miles Davis, and this sort of album is an interesting introduction. My favorite track (of the two on the album) is by far is the title track.

Musically and lyrically, it's a great albium, and it's perfect for a mood that I likely will never be in.

How can you not give this album a 5? Likely one of the best Pink Floyd albums out there.

I didn't do this album justice and literally skimmed the tracks because I ran out of patience. I appreciate her sound, but you really need to be in that mood to enjoy it.

pretty cliche "country rock"

Tina Turner embodies the Adult Contemporary category.

I appreciate the 60's Motown vibe, but was always curious how long she could have held onto that schtick if she didn't literally drink herself to death. Guess she should've gone to rehab?

Listening to Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life is like signing up for a quick coffee date and realizing you’ve accidentally agreed to a 2-hour TED Talk on joy, heartbreak, and cosmic funk. It’s not an album—it’s a full-blown life seminar with a soundtrack so good you forget you’re being educated. Every track feels like Stevie personally broke into your soul, rearranged the furniture, and left a disco ball in the living room. The man plays more instruments than most people own socks, and somehow makes you feel guilty for not practicing piano harder in third grade. Favorite tracks are still the commericially known hits- Sir Duke, I Wish, Isn't She Lovely, and I had no idea Coolio sampled from Pastime Paradise

Appetite for Destruction is the album that politely kicks down the door, drinks your last beer, and leaves you thanking it for the privilege. “Welcome to the Jungle” doesn’t so much welcome you as it shoves you into traffic with a grin, while “Paradise City” suggests paradise is mostly loud guitars and questionable life choices. Slash appears to have misplaced the memo about subtlety (thankfully), and Axl Rose delivers vocals that could file HR complaints in gentler genres.

I was today years old when I realized there weren't two singers in Tom Tom Club. They sure love echo effects.

Solid Air drifts slow Warm voice, but songs fade away— Half-clouded sunrise.

With gems like "Tiny Dancer" and "Levon" kicking off the album, I expected a juggernaut of an album. Unfortunately, while some other tracks were solid ("Madman, Razor Face"), I would have no reason to listen to side 2. 3 stars simply for Tiny Dancer.

Another album that spent a lot of time in my Sony Discman in the early 90's. Through Eddie Vedder's barely understandable mumblings to Mike Mcready's amazing solo work, this album still rips.

I'd really like to say that this is the album that made me finally realize that I misunderstood the Rolling Stones and they truly are a creative force. But alas, I'm once again disappointed. Sure, it's a good album, but nothing stands out and I have yet to see the allure of this band.

A little too much Honky and not enough Tonk. I was suprised that "Act Naturally" was first sung by Buck vs Ring.

A classic Stevie Wonder album although I prefer his high energy funk rather than the typical syrupy ballads. Favorite tracks are "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" (yes I contradicted myself since I like this ballad), and "Superstition"

"Oh hey, that's the theme song from the Exor...omg track 1 is 26 minutes long. It's a good effort, but not something I'd listen to again.

Funny how their 1958 self-titled album has so many better songs, and yet this one is on the list (and also apparently ranked higher on Billboard when it was released)

I've heard the intro to Walk on By dozens of times, but don't think I ever heard the entire, lenghty track

light cheerful and utterly boring

Ahhhhh, it's time to relax, and you know what that means, a glass of wine, your favourite easy chair, and of course this compact disc playing and your home stereo. So go on, indulge yourself, that's right, kick off your shoes, put your feet up, lean back and just enjoy the melodies. After all, music soothes even the savage beasts.

I've tried to get into the Dead many times, and they do have a few gems, but this album feels like a meandering stoner practice session

fine music for focusing at work, but I've I had to sit and concentrate on this album only, I'd probably run out into traffic.

The hits are hits, the rest mostly filler

Classic Lou Reed

I had this album on cassette back in the day. Side 1 has some hits, but side 2 was a wasteland, causing you to spend 4 minutes in silence while you rewound side 1 to listen to it again.

Duran Duran took this and made it eleventy times better

This one surprised me.
