Going into this I only knew father and son. I was pleasantly surprised by the rest of the album. Not anything super amazing but just really good stuff.
I only knew one song by Curtis before listening but I loved this album. Especially the drums and bass and deep lyrics.
Pretty good. Not really my genre but I can see why it’s loved.
Didn’t expect to like this as much as I did. Very calming album
First track is amazing and the rest is just good. Kinda disappointed and I feel catfished.
I’m the biggest Bob glazer I know so this is an easy 10. Amazing lyrics with amazing instrumentation. Desolation row is probably in my top ten songs no top 5.
First artist I had never heard of. The backstory is really interesting. The album itself I enjoyed but it wasn’t amazing but pretty good.
Great album which I heard before. I hate real tho.
Great album but her vocals are a bit much sometimes.
Shitty music. Shittier guy
Holy peak. Maybe I’m just a sucker for prog.
I guess it’s a good album but it isn’t really live it’s overdubbed so much that it’s almost just re-recorded songs which makes it a greatest hits album. So it loses points for that.
Horrible just horrible. No other words
Just a classic you know. It’s not his best album but it’s amazing.
This is your brain on weed
Didn’t understand a single word but it sounded heavenly at times.
Some really high highs and some pretty bad stuff
Sounds so chill just really nice
The vocals suck and the mix is horrible. I have heard way better psychedelic stuff.
Amazing riffs, just a classic
Very fun but kinda repetitive
Gets repetitive but the last track is great. The middle is eh.
The female vocalist her songs were better.
80s rock is not my thing but this was alright
It’s good but master of reality should be here
Great production, lyricism and flows basically anything you could want from a hiphop album.
It seems like everything Bowie touched in the 70s turned to gold
That accapella version was horrid
I love r.e.m but this should be out of time
Half these songs are too long
I did not have sexual relations with mother earth
Wouldve rather had the river
I love singers with bad voices with good lyrics
There’s not even Billy on the list
Im not swingin nor a lover
Bro was in his feelings huh
Stevie’s worst from the classic era but still peak
Mother is peak y’all don’t get it
I actually like this album by zeppelin a lot which is rare
It’s not for me but I get why it’s here
Mark knopfler has one tone but it’s a good tone
Not for me. After every song I was checking how long I still had to go
2 boring country pop albums back to back is not for the weak.
It sounds like uhhhhhhhhhh nothing.
There’s a good album in there. If you cut 45%.
“I know where I can find you
In somebody’s room
It’s a price I have to pay
You’re a big girl all the way”
Words are very unnecessary so no review
Counting or not counting gang violence
There’s a bathroom on the right
Good but has too many homophobic lyrics
Boring shock rock with a few good tracks
Felt like I was floating in another dimension
Nothing burger of music with a good message
Some of these beats are annoying af but most of it is classic
I had a huge Eminem phase from 13 to 14. And this was the first revisit I did since then. It holds up however some tracks suck. Also some questionable edgy for the sake of being edgy bars.
I love live albums and this hit all the spots for a great live album.
I liked the madness version better
It’s like noise jazz I love it
Hypnotic lyrics with lovely instrumentation. Unfortunate he is such a shitty guy.
It’s good but most tracks aren’t the best version (with exceptions).
Just all around a perfect time. It’s avant garde pop that anyone can and should enjoy.
Every track on here is perfect except for it ain’t easy and hang on to yourself which pull the album down so much. It also isn’t top 3 Bowie for me. 8.5/10. I’m sorry
This KILLED me Phil Spector
She might also be a banshee.
That last track did NOT need to be 8 minutes.
Waiter waiter, more mediocre 80s new wave please!
It’s an original guitar sound I’ll tell you that.
STOP GIVING ME ANNOYING AVANT ROCK
This is the fourth fucking noise rock album I’ve gotten in a row and I still don’t like the genre. I had a little hope because the previous sonic youth record I got (dirty) was a record I enjoyed a lot. This however I did not enjoy.
After 5 days of noise rock I had this super enjoyable album. Fuck it 5/5
It was quite alright actually.
Genuinely could not tell half the songs apart.
The instrumentals were pretty good but the rest eh
This generator made me realise I hate punk.
It’s basically worse kid a and the worst Radiohead album on here.
I love the Beatles but this album just feels like it is nothing. There’s a few amazing tracks but most of it is just uninteresting.
I always play End Of The World before a test or exam. I had an exam today.
Psychedelic shite Bob Dylan
Mother made me sob dude. John wasn’t perfect at all but he deserved better and I don’t think he was horrible.
You’re telling me this guy helped make the gift and black angel death song?
Catchy, sexy and erotic as fuck
Acoustic punk is something I never knew could hit
A lot of amazing stuff but a little long and some misses
I don’t have a phd so this is a easy 5
The lyrics were good but there he has a nice voice unlike Bob Dylan and Tom Waits so it loses a star.
Why does he make that weird screaming sound so much
The rapping and lyrics were great but some beats sound like they were made by DJSigma
This album always intrigued me, today was the day I finally listened and I’m disappointed. The lyrics aren’t that good, the whole idea sounds appealing to me but it doesn’t hit.
Listen I like weird stuff but this was just random sounds and stuff the album
Oh wow what a gem, some loops aren’t perfect but it comes close.
One extra star for inside and my weakness, the rest was dookie.
The first half is genuinely perfect but the second half drags a bit which is why I don’t have it 5/5, wish I could give it a 4.5/10 but this will do.
Another album that I have heard a lot about but never heard. It had a nolsstalgic feel to it and I love the effects on the vocals. It did kinda blend which probably the only real bad thing about it.
Runaway child running wild carries the album from a 2 to a 3 and it still feels like I’m underrating even though I only enjoy that and the opener
THE GREATEST PIECE OF MEDIA EVER MAAAAADEE RAAAAH
Much better than the other cooper album.
In your heaaad in your heaaad
Wouldn’t been a 5 if it wasn’t 2 hours
Told myself I never wanted to hear this again, went to the kitchen to get some water and karma chameleon was playing on the radio. Fml
Sorry Ella it was good but a 3 hour album is not necessary before you die.
More like songs from the cuck chair
Felt like I was going insane from repetitiveness by the end.
5, it’s the albums rating. Yes it is. It’s the albums rating.
I don’t get it, some really great stuff and some incredibly generic stuff.
Much better than WTSMG imo. Much more raw and real.
Much better than the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young version.
Great record that is eclipsed by 2 of its successors. The singles are all classics and even more experimental moments like double bass are great. Unfortunately the last few tracks aren’t as good to me, but the excellent closer saves it from being a boring ending.
Hey mr tamboring man rape this good song for me. I’ll get sleepy and want to kill myself.
I despise punk but hospital was a good track
Weak first half but from girls onward it’s strictly bangers
Great production with uhhhhhh ummmmmm uhhhhhh nothing else noteworthy
Whole Lotta British nothing
I refuse to listen to this piece of trash
Production is good but it’s not great even for the white stripes
Genuinely amazing, Nick has escaped me before but this is a new favourite
Pretty fun but nothing all that memorable
Pretty eh for steelys standards
Oh wow this is one of the greatest pop records over heard.
Cool that he did all the instruments but it was MID
Shoutout big DV for putting me on this niche band
When I saw that it was world music and the name Jah, I didn’t expect a British white guy.
Sounds pretty good but those lyrics were just horrible.
I often claim that I love Simon & Garfunkel but have never listened to album by them in full. From this album I only knew Homeward Bound, so it was mostly new stuff. Not every song is of the same quality. It’s also a little short but rather that than too long. Great lyrics and their harmonies never miss.
Just peak
Front loaded asf. Just feels like a bunch of songs with no real connection whatsoever.
Definitely one of her best albums along with it’s sister album folklore.
Not a huge fan of the singi but I am of the instrumental parts.
I’ve never liked punk, I like what they stand for but not the music itself. The sex pistols however were/are talentless posers. I can see why some people enjoy the Ramones or sonic youth, I don’t get what people saw in these posers.
Beautiful and gut wrenching.
I know this guy from his collaborations with one of my favourite artists Charli xcx but I feel like she deserves a spot more than this (I’m certain brat will get added in the next version but she deserves 2.). And also the lyrics were very cringy, I’m LGBTQ myself and love other androgynous artists but it feels like it’s all he talks about. The God is stupid song also came over as very r/atheist once again I’m also atheist.
It’s crazy that I, the biggest Bob Dylan fan I know had never heard of this peak. It’s touching but also quite funny at times. Great instrumentation too.
This sounds like those first few tracks on the bootleg series 1 by Bob Dylan. Those tracks aren’t my favourite tho but I get his influence and stuff. Also I liked the Woody Guthrie appearance, he’s a legend.
Arguably the greatest hiphop album ever, heck you could argue it’s the greatest album period. Not a single boring moment despite its length. Every bar is perfectly placed and most could be dissected all day. It’s taught in universities for a reason. And I haven’t even spoken about the musicality, heavenly beats and amazing flows. Fucking peak.
Her voices is a little annoying but it’s good.
Another legacy artist album that takes the spot of an artist that’s actually from that era.
Lovely psychedelic jazz fusion stuff.
Rock n Roll classic, super influential and just amazing songs. It’s a little short but I guess that was pretty normal back then.
Ive always heard amazing things about this one. I had heard their first 3 records (and the eps that released before the third album) before but this one is new because I never continued the discography listen for some reason. So what do I think of it? Pretty okay ig, I preferred the gothic rock more. Still a good album with some amazing tracks but not as good as the gothic rock. Have to agree with what Geordie Greep said about it.
I’m a pretty big Björk fan but have never listened to this which I now immensely regret. This is very different from her solo catalog but still amazing.
I honestly prefer modal, jazz fusion and most other jazz styles over cool jazz but this is undeniably a great record.
Great lyrics but I’m not a fan of every beat.
I honestly had low expectations but this was quite fun, especially tracks like the beautifully written “Run Baby Run", the subterranean homesick blues-esque “The Na-Na song" and even the hit “All I Wanna Do”. Those tracks stand out but the rest goes from alright to boring.
Soul classic, what a voice!
This bored me to sleep TWICE!
Honestly pretty good but it gets a little repetitive and tiring, especially his voice.
Punk that I enjoyed? Holy shit this is insane.
