The Pleasure Principle by Gary Numan

Perhaps the best album of the 1001 albums at this point. It sounds timeless yet it is also a pure distillation of 80s synth music, yet again somehow made before the 80's. I can only imagine how influential this album must have been. An artist I've never heard of before, although I did recognize some tracks from general exposure to the internet. Definitely an album I am adding to my rotation. Not a perfect album, it can be a little repetitive at times, but that gives you move opportunity to keep listening to the catchy beats. It does kind of drag near the end als the energy dips during "conversation", but then it picks up again during "Cars". (Kachow) I'll grant it the first 5/5

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police

Did not expect too much of it but ended up liking it! The bass is funky and stanky and the drums sharp and clear. Favourites are It's "Regatta De Blanc", "alright for you" & "does everyone stare". The latter has a bit of a buildup, but sounds like a joy near the end. I don't particularly like the slower songs like "The Bed's Too Big Without You" & "Walking on the moon". Overall I'd give it a weak 4. It definitely has soms song I will he revisiting, but also some I will probably never give another thought again.

Low by David Bowie

I don't see how this has meaningfully contributed to music history. It's kinda weird, like alien circus music, but not in a way that is THAT out there. I guess it's better than other Bowie Albums as he is singing less and generally the vibe is more chill. Still I dont hear anything that would make me want to ever revisit this record Another bowie record that is a miss for me.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac

Some have described parts of this record as manic or with high tension. This made me actually look forward to this record. This is what made me push through the first few songs which were just plain boring. Than I realised, some of these are supposed to be "the manic" ones such as the ledge. Apperently manic sounds like a room of white 50 year olds linedancing. I have to give it to them "the Ledge" and "That's enough for me" are the highlights, but only because the rest of the songs are dreadfully boring and unispired. No surprise this is one of their less popular record. But the question remains, why is it on this list? I am not even going to pretend I finished this monsterously long record. I have better things to do. 2/10 which is a point for every song I didn't hate.

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock

A musical journey that bounces around with this indescribable energy that is infectious. Songs without lyrics that you will still sing along to somehow. I've had the great honour of seeing Herbie live earlier this year. He is getting old and you can see that, but you won't hear it. He plays with the same youthful energy you hear on this 1973 recording. Everyone in his band was perfectly in tune with each other and together they made a wonderful tapestry of sound which was the best live music experience I have ever had. One of my favourite albums, so it will not be surprising that I give it a 10/10.
