Group Sex by Circle Jerks

Never really liked hardcore punk from the early 80s. I can appreciate what it did for music, especially for a lot of bands through the 90s, but just doesn't hit the same as some other music to me.

Third by Portishead

Great voice and music is a bit different. Indie. Didn't mind it, just wasn't my type of music.

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman

Was a little suspect after the first song until I read exactly what it was about. He has a great voice. Album as whole has meaning which is cool. Music is pretty good to, but it's really his voice and the lyrics that make the album.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Apr 25 2026

Fun mix of what sounds like 50s and 60s with some 80s rock. Really different sound than a lot of music. A lot of good songs.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Apr 26 2026

Very unique and different album. Carries over the 80s vibe into the 90s. Has two amazing songs in 'Personal Jesus' and 'Enjoy the Silence'

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Apr 27 2026

I can appreciate what The Zombies were and their influence on rock, but this album doesn't do it for me. Time of the Season is a good song and the whole album has the psychedelic 60's vibe to it.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Apr 28 2026

Sounds a lot like the easy going rock of the early 90s. Is worth while listening to in the background, but wouldn't want to listen to it outside of that. Reminds me of some of the slow music from The Crow soundtrack.

Morrison Hotel by The Doors
Apr 29 2026

Good album, with one popular song, but really easy listening album from start to finish. You can hear the change from their earlier stuff, but still as the same musically sound.

Abraxas by Santana
Apr 30 2026

Such a good album. Relaxing yet energetic at the same time. Amazing guitars. Really good music of Latin music with American rock. Perfect to listen to from start to finish.

Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens
May 01 2026

Decent album, a lot of the songs sound the same though. Good listen to just have on in the background.

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
May 02 2026

Just not my cup of tea. Melodic, but just too slow. Good vocals, but almost sounds depressing a lot of songs.

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
May 03 2026

Guitars and drums are good, but you can barely hear the vocals and a lot of it is just humming. Cool musical jam. Distorted guitars give a bit of a different sound than I've heard before.

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
May 04 2026

Just an overall fun album. Vocals are great and seemed during the time would have been a very influential albums towards the '80s sound'.

Good album. Definitely has a lot of 90s vibes to it. Seems like it has some Radiohead sound, even before I saw Thom Yorker were on a couple of songs. Vocals sound almost 70s/80s with the rest of the music being from the 90s.

Roxy Music by Roxy Music
May 06 2026

Good listen. Sounds like a lot of bands across multiple decades. I hear a little of The Who, Pink Floyd, and Talking Heads while also a bit of the Hollies. So there's a bit of 60s, 70s, and even 80s sound in the album.

The Yes Album by Yes
May 07 2026

Really good album. Guitars and vocals are great. The progressive rock with a concept album really resonate here. You can progress through the album and every song is different, but bind the album together.

Teen Dream by Beach House
May 08 2026

Good listen. Enjoyed the album all the way through. Reminds me of some of the other indie pop bands that came around in the early 2010s.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
May 09 2026

Good album. Done really good songs, but also done just OK songs. Vocals as anyways are great. Some really good guitar rhiffs.

Gold by Ryan Adams
May 10 2026

Some country, blues, and pop sounds. Good vocals. Sounds like a lot of the solo singers from the late 90s/early 00s (e.g. John Mayer, etc.)

Boy In Da Corner by Dizzee Rascal
May 11 2026

Not really my kind of rap. Sounds a bit like Jamaican and South African rap.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
May 12 2026

One of my favorite albums. Amazing guitars. Amazing lyrics. Wish You Were Here is iconic. Have a Cigar is a great upbeat song compared to the rest of the album.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
May 13 2026

Not even their best album, yet a monumental album in rock. Some all time classics on here. Very blues forward album. Vocals, guitars, drums all great. With there being at least 4 other Zeppelin albums I like more than this one, I couldn't give it 5 stars.

Bone Machine by Tom Waits
May 14 2026

I can understand and appreciate how vocals and the lyrics are amazing, but just not my type of music.

Rip It Up by Orange Juice
May 15 2026

It was alright, nothing special. Sounds like a lot of 80s bands.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
May 16 2026

Really great album. Vocals and lyrics are great. Just a good album to relax to from start to finish.

C'est Chic by CHIC
May 17 2026

Not horrible, better than I thought it was going to be. I really don't like disco and was expecting all disco songs, but there are some different types of songs on here. Some pretty good guitars too.

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
May 18 2026

Never really liked hardcore punk from the early 80s. I can appreciate what it did for music, especially for a lot of bands through the 90s, but just doesn't hit the same as some other music to me.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
May 19 2026

Great album. Couple of amazing songs. Fogerty's vocals throughout are really good. Just a good listen from start to finish.

Homework by Daft Punk
May 20 2026

The songs I like from this album are good, but there are a lot on here I don't like. Everything is just extremely repetitive and not enjoyable.

Rid Of Me by PJ Harvey
May 21 2026

Good album. Guitars and vocals are great. Definitely feel that 90s angst in the music and lyrics.

Electric by The Cult
May 22 2026

Such a great album. Never really listened to The Cult and I feel like I should have long before now. Just great vocals, guitars, and drums. Very much an 80s rock band.

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
May 23 2026

Great vocals and a great lyricist. Definitely has some of that 60s folk vibe as well, which I definitely appreciate and those bands were such an influence in rock, it's just something I usually don’t listen to. It was still a good album though.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
May 24 2026

Really great album. Some all time classics on here. There seems to be a lot of 50s rock influences in quite a few songs with the guitars and the vocals.

Transformer by Lou Reed
May 26 2026

Good album and enjoyed a few songs on the album. Can here some Bowie influence in some of the songs. Some good lyrics and great voice.

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
May 27 2026

They sound like if The Cure, Oasis, The Smiths, and The Beatles had a music baby. Such a great album. One you can just put on and enjoy the whole album.

May 28 2026

I really hate to give Kanye props, but the album is just so good. Haven't really listened to Kanye since he went all crazy, but his earlier stuff is just so good.

Sincere by Mj Cole
May 29 2026

It's an OK album. I'm not a big techno fan, so wasn't a hot for me. It is somewhat relaxing and might be good to put on while reading a book or something.

Elephant by The White Stripes
May 30 2026

Obviously had one of the most iconic songs of the past 20 years and that song is great. I liked the album, it just wasn't a whole album to me.

Third by Portishead
May 31 2026

Great voice and music is a bit different. Indie. Didn't mind it, just wasn't my type of music.

Rejoicing In The Hands by Devendra Banhart
Jun 01 2026

Cool album. Indie folk, so not a huge fan, but was pretty cool to just put on on the background.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Jun 02 2026

Really enjoyed this album. Great listen for the whole album. Reminded me a bit of The Doors.

Maxinquaye by Tricky
Jun 03 2026

Pretty chill album. Was better than I was expecting.

The Libertines by The Libertines
Jun 04 2026

Great album. Sound much more like a 60s or 70s band. Sort of a Beatles sound to them.

Talk Talk Talk by The Psychedelic Furs
Jun 05 2026

I normally don't like a ton of 80s British style punk, but I loved this album. I have never listened to them before, but this album will make me try some of their other albums.

Dookie by Green Day
Jun 06 2026

One of my favorite albums of all time. First CD I ever owned, so definitely has some nostalgia for me and is probably the first album I listened to that branched away from what my parents listened to. I can listen to this album at least once a week and not get bored. Every song on here is great.

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Jun 07 2026

All though I'm not a big Elvis fan, I can still appreciate his work and what he did for rock n roll. The album itself had some really good songs and I enjoyed listening to it and it's the first time I've actually listened to an Elvis album and not just individual songs.

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Jun 08 2026

Never been a big fan of jam bands. This band sounds a little bit like if a southern rock band was a jam band. Good music, just not my jam.

On The Beach by Neil Young
Jun 09 2026

Good, chill album. Album as a while is good, some good lyrics and of course a great voice.

Machine Gun Etiquette by The Damned
Jun 10 2026

Decent album. Never listened to them before. Sounds more like The Clash style of punk, so I liked it more than some other early British punk. Some of the songs sound a bit like daily Pink Floyd with a punk twist.

Bluesbreakers by John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
Jun 11 2026

Can't go wrong with some 60's blues rock, especially with Eric Clapton on guitar. Also has a sweet drum solo. Never heard them before, but really liked the album.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Jun 12 2026

Really cool album that I never listened to. I'd heard 'Child in Time', but nothing else on this album. Some great instrumentals and great voice. When listening to Child in Time, I realized it sounds a bit like Bowie.

Heroes by David Bowie
Jun 13 2026

Good, just not as good as I was expecting.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Jun 14 2026

Pretty cool album. Had a short of Blues sound to it. Better than I expected.

Searching For The Young Soul Rebels by Dexys Midnight Runners
Jun 15 2026

Pretty good album. Some soul style music combined with typical 80s pop rock. Good vocals and good instrumentals.

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Jun 16 2026

Right off the bat the album hits you with some great guitar. The vocals don't sound like your typical blues though. The guitars are amazing though. Overall I liked the guitars and blues sounding parts, but didn't like the vocals that much and wasn't my type of music.

Jun 17 2026

Not too bad. Definitely has that sort of 60s hippy sound to it. Better than some of the slower 60s stuff.

Fragile by Yes
Jun 18 2026

Starts out with a great song in Roundabout, but outside of one or two others songs, the album seemed more experimental. They added a new keyboardist and a few songs seemed like they were just trying to show off his skills. Even with all that, still a decent album.

Legalize It by Peter Tosh
Jun 19 2026

This was a really cool album. Just a good album to chill and listen to. Sounded a lot like Marley, probably because Tosh was a member of the Wailers.

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Jun 20 2026

I had never heard of Kate Bush until Stranger Things and really liked Running Up That Hill, but still never listened to anything beyond that. I should have. What a great album.

Arrival by ABBA
Jun 21 2026

Meh. Not horrible, just not a big fan of disco. Obviously have heard Dancing Queen a thousand times and the rest of the album sounds pretty similar.

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Jun 22 2026

Amazing album. Not only if you'd one of my favorite albums ever, but this is one of the greatest hard rock/heavy metal albums ever. The Master of Puppets song is equally as good by itself, but the album as a whole from start to finish is amazing. Even Orion which is all instrumental flows well with the album.

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Jun 23 2026

You really can't go wrong with Stevie. Such a great album. Has some funk, R&B, and soul. Album just flowed well as well.

Jun 24 2026

Great album, though not their best. I think the first half of the album is far better than the second half. Even still it's a good album. I just prefer most of their later stuff starting with The White Album more.

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Jun 25 2026

Was just a meh album for me. Wasn't bad, just didn't have anything significant. Sounded like a stereotypical 80s band.

Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt
Jun 26 2026

It's a very weird album and just not in my wheelhouse. I like some psychedelic rock, but bands that have more of the rock. This was just too slow and melodic for my taste.

Jun 27 2026

Such a great album. Probably Queen's best album and has one of the greatest rock songs of all time. The album goes together and just seen like every some for in the album.

Haunted Dancehall by The Sabres Of Paradise
Jun 28 2026

I'm just not a fan of techno or house music. This album was at least easy to listen to though.

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jun 29 2026

Cool live album. Neil Young has such a unique voice. This would be a good album to just chill to. No songs on here I had heard before, but good listening.

Moon Safari by Air
Jun 30 2026

This definitely want as bad some other electronic music I've heard. This is much more mellow and does have the annoying sounds you hear in a lot of them and is more musical and melodic. Though still just not a fan of electronic music.

Basket of Light by Pentangle
Jul 01 2026

I like some folk music, but it has to have a little rock to it. This just sounded like it was from the middle ages and I just didn't like it.

Penance Soiree by The Icarus Line
Jul 02 2026

This album was amazing. I've never heard them until now and I loved it. This sounds musically like At the Drive-In some and the vocals sound like someone I can't put my finger on. Will absolutely be listening to this again

Real Life by Magazine
Jul 03 2026

This was a pretty cool album to listen to. Some of the songs on here I would skip, but overall a really good listen.

In Utero by Nirvana
Jul 04 2026

One of my favorite albums. Usually go back and forth between this and Nevermind as the best Nirvana album. This album goes back to their roots a bit with some heavier songs, yet still has some great radio songs.

Nick Of Time by Bonnie Raitt
Jul 05 2026

Cool album. Kinda sounds like if Dolly Parton made some soft rock.

Jul 06 2026

It was good, if just wasn't anything special to me. I prefer a lot more grunge albums and bands that came out during this period.

Sunday At The Village Vanguard by Bill Evans Trio
Jul 07 2026

I don't listen to jazz much, but whenever I do it seems like something I would really enjoy. This album is no exception. I just felt taken away while listening to this.

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman
Jul 08 2026

Was a little suspect after the first song until I read exactly what it was about. He has a great voice. Album as whole has meaning which is cool. Music is pretty good to, but it's really his voice and the lyrics that make the album.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jul 09 2026

Such a great album. I've seen this before, but never actually listened to it and I'm regretting that. Vocals are great, sounds a lot like Thom Yorke to me. Music and lyrics are also amazing .

Doolittle by Pixies
Jul 10 2026

Don't know why I never listened to a full album of The Pixies before, but I thought this album was great. I really like the heavier grunge songs on the album.

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Jul 11 2026

Great album. Sounds like some early Bowie with some blues to it.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Jul 12 2026

I don't think I've ever actually listened to the album from start to finish before, but it was definitely worth it. A really great album and the sound is great, especially for being a live recording.

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Jul 13 2026

Good album. Really liked the rapping parts and the lyrics. I didn't like how much sampling there was in the songs; feels like it breaks up the songs too much.

Back In Black by AC/DC
Jul 14 2026

Great album. I've listened to this album so many times. Used to learn to play the drums to this album.

Exit Planet Dust by The Chemical Brothers
Jul 15 2026

Decent album. Better than some other techno style albums. This seems like more actual instruments bring samples instead of just 'sounds'. Also has a heavier sound than some others.

Dear Science by TV On The Radio
Jul 16 2026

This was a great album. Never even heard of these guys until this. What a great voice and the music just flows.

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Jul 18 2026

Never really listened to them and wasn't a fan of some of the songs I heard from them, but I liked this album more than I thought I was going to. Some of the 'techno' I didn't like, but the more 'pop rock' songs were pretty good.

evermore by Taylor Swift
Jul 19 2026

Not a huge Taylor Swift fan, though this album was much more tolerable. The lyrics of the songs have a lot to say and the singing was more folk than it was pop and I enjoyed it more.

Jul 20 2026

I prefer more of the Genesis from the 80s and with Phil Collins. That being said, I did like listening to this album. Some of the music even sounded a bit like Pink Floyd. Made me want to listen to more full albums of some older Genesis.

Aja by Steely Dan
Jul 21 2026

Never listened to the whole album before and just had heard the radio songs on the album. The album was really good and had some different sounding tracks. I was really surprised by the title track, Aja, and the drums in the song. Really great jazz style song.

Imagine by John Lennon
Jul 22 2026

Really good, chill album. And if course has Lennon's most recognizable song away from the Beatles.

Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi
Jul 24 2026

It's a good album. Has probably three of his most well known songs on one album. Couple of other good tunes on here as well. Lyrics aren't exactly Shakespeare, but they are fun.

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Jul 25 2026

So, he has some great sound, it's just not my style of music. I feel. Like he would actual be really good in a rock band.

Let It Be by The Replacements
Jul 26 2026

I usually don't like the fast paced 'ska' type punk, but this had enough 'slower' parts and songs that I really liked this album.

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Jul 27 2026

Not normally my type of music, but you just can't go wrong with Ella Fitzgerald singing. What an amazing voice. I really only knew a few songs, but the songs are still enrapturing.

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Jul 28 2026

Really good album. I prefer Aja a little more than this album, but still a really solid album.

Permission to Land by The Darkness
Jul 29 2026

Good album. 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love' is an absolute banger and 'Friday Night' is an amazing song, probably the best song on the album. Though I think a lot of the songs would be better if he want on a higher pitch when singing. For instance, 'Holding My Own' I think would be way better if he just sang in his lower pitch.

Jul 30 2026

Decent album. Probably just what I grew up with, but I like a lot of other early 90s rap albums over this one.

Guitar Town by Steve Earle
Jul 31 2026

Not a huge country fan, but I've always appreciated Steve Earle. Has more of the old country, southern rock sound. This album is no different and was enjoyable to listen to

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Aug 01 2026

Every time I listen to Neil Young albums, I get more engrossed. This is just a great album and his vocals and lyrics are amazing.

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Aug 02 2026

Just like most Stevie Wonder albums, they are just great to listen to. There were so many songs on this album that I've heard multiple times and are just great and iconic songs.

Live At The Star Club, Hamburg by Jerry Lee Lewis
Aug 03 2026

I have of course heard of Jerry Lee Lewis before and thought I would like this album, but it was much better than I anticipated. The piano is of course amazing and the energy in all the songs is something to behold; I would have loved to see him in concert. Overall an amazing album and much better than I originally anticipated.

What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Aug 04 2026

The album was good, just not as good as I was expecting from a lot of places having this as one of their top 100 albums of all time. The lyrics and vocals are amazing though. Some of the songs seemed like they were ahead of their time and almost sounded like some 90s R&B.

Kala by M.I.A.
Aug 05 2026

Really good album. Sounds like a mix of a bunch of different regional music almost; has some Jamaican, South African, and American rap sounds throughout. And Paper Planes is just a great iconic song.

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Aug 06 2026

It's a good album, I just think they have much better albums than this.

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Aug 07 2026

Not bad, almost sounds like a movie soundtrack.

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Aug 08 2026

This is my my third Neil Young album and has been my least favorite so far, but I still enjoyed it.

The Beach Boys Today! by The Beach Boys
Aug 09 2026

I was never a big Beach Boys fan. This album was decent though.

Da Capo by Love
Aug 10 2026

This album wasn't bad and some songs were really good. It had a mix of jazz, blues, and soft rock. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was a little harder, but understand that's not everyone's taste.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Aug 11 2026

Such a unique voice and the lyrics were amazing on this album. Really made you want to sit and think about what he's saying.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Aug 12 2026

This was a pretty decent album. Definitely seemed a little ahead of it's sound in the mid 90s. Sounds a lot like some of the mid-2000s bands, so I can see that some of those bands were influenced by this album.
