Started heavier than I'm used to the Pixies being, but overall still entertaining album. I think others make for a better album if someone needed a where should I start kind of situation

This album cover always looked cool but I was afraid the music wouldn't live up to the imagery. Once I started reading H.P. Lovecraft and The King in Yellow (which Lovecraft referenced, maybe even co-opted) the image in my head turned even darker. 21st century schizoid man kind of fit the expectations and was cool. The rest just made me think classic rock about fantasy things. Basically, more flute than I expected or wanted. But preconceived notions aside, it was alright.
Had that 90's feel and rage. Doll parts stood out the most, but maybe because I've heard a line or two previously.
Alright rock album. I think the cover art might be more iconic than the music itself. The music, for me, could blend in with some other bands without notice.
With a sound like classic American rock, that my brain right away wants me to like and enjoy, nothing actually stands out past the two songs that still get radio play today. And hard pressed, I probably couldn't have said those songs were by The black crowes prior to listening to this album

The songs I had previously already heard are still phenomenal stand outs. The songs that were new to me are alright, not bad, but not special compared to the others. The cover of lovesong was an unexpected good postmodern take.
I already own this album and enjoy Lou Reed's voice /sound. Perfect Day is an all time favorite song. That said, the entire album evokes an atmosphere and mood that takes me away from my day for 36 Minutes.
I've only sporadically liked Radiohead songs. I appreciate their abnormal sound and this album got me in an interesting headspace, but nothing lingers in my head after it's done. For better or worse, everything blurs together for me.
Generally like rolling stones but this album was too much blues influence and I wasn't feeling it at the time. 'You can't always get what you want' is a top stones song for me and great note to end on.
Enjoyed the album overall. Handful of songs I heard before but didn't know where they came from originally. Could clearly hear the influence they gave some of the bands I regularly listen to
Had a childlike dream quality to it. That same quality caused me to loose focus on a lot of the album
Not a genre I regularly listen to, and therefore don't know much of its history. Which means I didn't know prior any historical merit of the album. A lot of the beats felt similar, almost to point of being repeated. Lyrics did nothing for me. Towards the end of the album I think I started to hear some influential qualities
Fun listen. I have a few singles, never listened to a complete album. Enjoyable.
Very chill and relaxing vibes. Not anything I was likely to come across on my own, or remember necessarily going forward, but I enjoyed the time we had.
I always found white stripes sound enjoyable. Some songs hit better than others. This album, which I hadn't previously listened to in its entirety, felt the most together
Fun album from someone I hadn't heard of. Sounded equally from 90's, 00's and 70's.
I've always enjoyed this album. Some of the best oasis songs that have a permanent place in my head.
Enjoyable sound. Created a laid-back, reflective with own thoughts and feelings mood. Twisted didn't quite fit the mold, but was very entertaining breakaway and ending
Started string with singles I've known and heard frequently. Starts getting a little bizarre in a fun way (Mr. Kite), then bizarre in a bit great way. Finished off ok.
Enjoyable easy listening. Not much stuck in my head after one listen, but I wouldn't mind putting on again a few times
Epic release. Multiple genres mixed throughout. Would love to revisit at different pace
I don't know much about jazz, but seemed like a good seamless flow.
Enjoyable sound, with a momentum that doesn't stop until the entire album is over. After only one listen I have time for, no songs stood out on their own
Quintessential early 90's Rock, punk sound from someone I thought I hadn't heard of. This album predates Marcy Playground, but reminded me a lot of Marcy Playground specifically.
Always liked Elliot Smith without really being able to narrow down why. His sound feels stripped and reflective, as if a soundtrack to inner monologues.
Chill, funk, lounge album. Strawberry letter 23 instant ear worm.
Frank's voice can't be denied. It's classic. The jazz was nice and smooth, never overpowering the vocals. Everything was just nice and pleasant, but nothing uniquely stood out
Great punk momentum and fun through most the album. Turn blue went a little too long for me.
Classic rock funk combination with so many hits on one record
Calm indie music. Not a lot stood out during one listen.
Easy listening / indie rock. Some songs had great sound scapes.
Just sounds like a live classic rock album. Nothing negative to say.
Quintessential 80's rock sound. Done alright, just not my vibe
Spotify only had 3 songs of the album. What I heard just reminded me of lion king.
Alright. Other than Mr. Blue sky nothing stood out to me and it will mostly be forgotten
Alright music, nothing stood out to me though
Really good heavy metal. Maybe it just got assigned when that's what I was in the mood for, but had fun with the album
Chill rap album. A few really good and fun. Nice use of PlayStation boot up.
Good sounding live album. Alright rock songs.
Genesis doesn't do anything for me, even a double album
I'm not sure what this was. Started strange and too much, then got good, then got to be going on too long and was annoying, then kept going and back to good. As a whole album I think it works and I enjoy the ride. Nothing stands out individually, and I'm not sure how I would feel about it piece meal.
Staple of teenage years. Great album with a lot of unforgettable songs up front. It always lost steam for me near the end
Not my style, but sounded alright and fun. Nothing in particular stood out. Maybe I was distracted but everything kind of blended together.
Not a big fan of reggae or anything weed related, but this was chill and calming album. Hit well
Softer indie rock. Simpler sound but enjoyed the time.
Alright rock album. I think the cover art might be more iconic than the music itself. The music, for me, could blend in with some other bands without notice.
I was already some what familiar with the streets and very surprised to see an album on this list. In my experience he's a very acquired taste. Loved this album album, start to finish. It told a story, that by the end I was just hanging on to see what happened. I always felt his music itself was on the simpler side of things, but it really gives the vocals and lyrics the chance to shine. The previous albums I knew, I don't recall being a story start to finish, so this concept was unexpected and executed wonderfully.
Jazzy, lounge sound with smooth vocals. Not my favorite music but nothing negative to say. Good easily turn on for any moment to have some background noise
Sounded like a mix of early rock, surf rock, rockabilly. It was okay, felt like the album went a bit long, so I guess that's not my style. Handful of songs I've heard all my life and never knew the artist.
Started off good, had calm reflective feeling to it. Probably would've been better if I hadn't had such a busy day. The birthday song was weird and out of place
Enjoyable, more upbeat music from someone I never heard of
I enjoy this band but feel like they're an acquired taste, and stereo settings need to be on point, if not extra loud (in a car) to hear vocals and different instruments or else it easily goes into just noise. But it a good album
I enjoy ccr's sound and have nothing bad to say about the album. I think there are better songs of theirs out there, but none of these are bad. The whole thing was enjoyable, and despite some longer songs I was still surprised when the album was over.
Lots of funk and interesting sounds going on throughout the album. Felt very different but enjoyable exploration. Superstition is a classic
Music sounded good, but ultimately it was still Christmas music and only want it once and don't really pay attention to it.
Not a fan on country music or twang, but given that it was an alright album. She has a nice voice and it was calm music.
This album reminded me why I don't like red hot chilli peppers. Some songs were good, and memorable hits, but for the most part I was waiting for it to end
It was okay. A few classics, but most easily forgettable to me. Last song I was just waiting to end and hoped it was the last
Enjoyable start to finish. Nothing pulling me to jump back in right away, but seemed good smooth jazz.
Some really good songs that I can never remember are by Depeche Mode, mixed with a lot of others I don't care for and easily forgot.
Just okay. Reminded me of death cab
Classic trip-hop. Chill vibes
Felt kind of experimental, more annoying than anything
Started heavier than I'm used to the Pixies being, but overall still entertaining album. I think others make for a better album if someone needed a where should I start kind of situation
Alright chill rock.
Hey hey, my my and it's inverse are great timeless songs. Everything in between was good, but I won't remember as well... Except maybe Pocahontas.
Alright album, had fun listening till the end. Songs near the end started to go too long
Most of vocals were clear and often humorous. Decent chill beats.
Was not expecting dance album on this list and pleasantly surprised. A remix of muscle car has always been a guilt pleasure since I first heard so again, pleasantly surprised to hear the original and the songs it was originally packaged with. Fun album
Alright indie rock punk. Perfect small rowdy venue sound
Never listened to a Dylan album. Thought his voice was annoying. This album wasn't a bad one to listen to. Glad to hear Maggie's farm. Last track I got bored with
Okay jazz album. After awhile, I felt like it wasn't ending
Felt like a ride through an epic fantasy land
The album is okay here and there. Some good sampling. However, beastie boys have always sounded like a group of friends that are constantly interrupting each other and laughing at themselves. A group of friends that you don't hate to run into, but just weren't really in the mood to see at most moments. A full album didn't change that feeling
Fun synth pop album. No complaints, but no outstanding love
Starts with timeless U2 bangers and then goes into some alright but ultimately forgettable rock, lots of reflection feels (makes sense on an album called Joshua tree). Got a bit bored halfway through. Exit peaked me back briefly. Might just not have been in the mood
Fun fast punk, with understandable lyrics
Powerful, deeply soulful and triumphant singing. Good covers of songs, but once album is over I can't remember which songs they were. They were great, but at same time failed to leave lasting impression. Right on cusp of 5 Star for me.
A lot of instrumental High fantasy rock. Could picture older animation happening during most of the album. Nutrocker was kind of cool, but I can't picture ever being in the mood to listen to the album again
Fun score to a non-existent film. I always enjoy a concept album of that nature. Some things reminded me of "Lost Highway" only to discover this artist did work for that soundtrack. It all makes sense now
Once in a lifetime is great classic. The rest was alright rock, pop mix. Whatever talking heads sound is described as
Upbeat 80's synth pop. Entertaining background but nothing memorable enough to be stuck once album over.
Not any David Bowie I was already familiar with, nothing stuck really well, but it was solid enjoyable listening experience. Not as much experimental stuff going on like some of the mid 2000's albums of his I've listened to
Just fun goofy rock. Some better than others but I can understand how it set the stage for bands that came later that have similar style
Good variety of sounds and pleasant listening experience
Has a voice that commands to be heard, which is refreshing to a live recording. I feel like vocals get muffled a lot. Anyway, enjoyable upbeat (even the romantic song). Sounded like a fun place to be. Can't picture anyone walking out the club upset
Chill laid back instrumental. Sounded great in background to reading. Weird transition towards end of first song, where I thought my streaming service was getting spotty connection.
Powerful voice. Enjoyable listening experience. Two songs stood above and sort of dwarf the others to me.
This album felt like it would never end. Just The longest live show ever, with nothing really happeening. I suppose that's expected from a jam band. Parts with vocals were okay songs, but even those felt like they went on too long. I think the only way I would recognize grateful dead's (or dead & co's) sound is by how long it went on for. If things were around 7 minutes or less I'd probably give it a two star (which to me means it's not bad, it's listenable, just wasn't right, or n this case great, to me. Nothing I'd choose to listen to again, but not mad if someone else put it on, infrequently. However, the wanting things to desperately be over made me grow to loath the album.
Great electric guitar sound. Some amusing lyrics. Classic rock that had my foot moving almost the entire time and constantly wanting to break into air guitar, wether I was zoned out on vocals or not
Fun non stop metal. Lots of air drumming
Some classic Eminem hits on this album. Most unfamiliar songs were really fun and different. "Skits" were hit and miss.
Trumpet jazz. Alright, not particularly fond of so much trumpet but it was played well
Reminded me of a thievery Corp album but a little bit more chaotic.
Nice, truly classic sounding, jazz / lounge vocalist. Amusing hearing her sing through not knowing words, but still working the tone and pitch
Alright ambient electronic. Nothing stood out to me though
Feels like it's supposed to be lyric driven ...rock, pop, alternative... Not sure how to describe it, but most of it just didn't resonate with me.
Good intro to the band and hints at what they would accomplish creatively later. A few of their hits, all of their speed and aggression.
Good Bowie, with lite rock elements. Some classics Bowie hits appear, but they're probably my last favorite of his hits. (Possibly burnout for life on 'changes', and that's hard to overcome)
Nice album to spend a quite hour to myself with. Nice calming, clear voice with music that lets you take it all in and listen to the words and let them sink in. Might be only two songs I can remember by name and want to come back specifically for, but I can see myself listening to more of him (or this specific album again) just to hear his voice and tone again. An impact was left, and it wasn't necessarily because of any of the lyrics.
Hauntingly beautiful. Felt like I should've listened to well after dark. Last track lost the haunting aspect. Still beautiful voice and sound cool, but haunting doesn't apply
Never thought I'd like Coldplay, but the only song I knew for sure that I didn't like was that yellow song (not on this album). After listening to an entire album, this was really enjoyable and a relaxing listen. Wouldn't mind listening to again
Nothing stood out to me about this album. Maybe I didn't give it enough attention, but it also didn't grab at me in any way. Sounded like he was a good musician and singer. The album frequently reminded me of 90's easy listening or contemporary rock. Not sure if this a great album because he originated that sound, or he did it best in some regard, but it just wasn't anything to me.
As mentioned, very much electronic ambient music. Not what I was expecting from the Aphex Twin I did know. Good music to get some things done to, but I don't know how to rate ambient. It success at what it is, but it doesn't stand out much to me. It doesn't beg for this album (or songs) specifically to be relistened to or discussed with others, but none of it was annoying. None of it went on too long
I liked the sound of the vocals. Had a classic rock sound and was enjoyable
Nice voice and piano. Always heard the name but never listened to anything. I knew the opening lines to criminal. Overall it was an enjoyable listen and left a favorable impression of the artist
The album certainly lives up to its title. Seemed like a good intro album to anyone interested in black metal. Aggressive sound, demonic lyrics that were surprisingly understandable and still had an edge to the vocals, in a not overwhelming time span. (The reissue with a 2nd CD of 12" versions, got a little long and boring, but I don't think that's the version considered to be great).
Pleasant singer song writer experience. Calming and reflective
Kind of cool dark pop. Hard for others to stand out alongside running up that hill, but a few do
I like indie stuff but this did nothing for me. Didn't hate it, but nothing really cought me or stood out
Alright indie/ alternative rock. Biggest take away was hearing original song I knew was samples elsewhere but never looked into before (so nothing stood out significantly)
Pleasant instrumental (if words they were in foreign language and just blended with rest of music).nothing stood out except the artists name.
Great easy rock/ listening album
Electronic trance music. Not entirely sure how to rate it. Sounded good, but also nothing stood out to separate it from others things I know. Not even sure if it was good enough to have the artist's name stand out
With a sound like classic American rock, that my brain right away wants me to like and enjoy, nothing actually stands out past the two songs that still get radio play today. And hard pressed, I probably couldn't have said those songs were by The black crowes prior to listening to this album
The album art and the title song are great, undeniable classics, but the rest of of the album doesn't do anything for me. None of the songs match the tone or feel that London calling conjures up. I do kind of like the last song, but by the time the album gets to it I was ready to be done. Also, book end songs that I enjoy don't really save the album.
Enjoyable voice and listening experience
Alright synth pop or new wave (not sure in difference. As the album went on I was getting more and more bored. Unrelated to my vote, not at all what I pictured something titled Steve McQueen to sound like
The audio quality for a live album was surprisingly good. Vocals were remarkably clear. But, it was still just a Motorhead album. I wanted to bang my head and run in circles like a maniac, but I'm not sure I'll ever remember one Motorhead song from another. Except Ace of Spades.
I like in your eyes, and big time was a bit fun. Sledgehammer, which I've heard of previously, did nothing for me. Very 80's sounding rock, pop rock even. Not for me. Other than songs listed above, it's all boring music to me.
Found the album pretty entertaining. Decent flow and solid beats that kept me interested
Funnier than I expected. Overall it was decent beats and flow. Easily distracted, but for the most part it did a good job of keeping my attention
Fun poppy rock album. Was familiar with a few songs already, the ones that were new to me didn't blow me away, but overall enjoyed the listen and the energy
I enjoy his voice, probably because it makes me think of toy story. Only lyrics that stood out was singing about America, and then multiple songs about Ohio.
Kind of mind blown. Never heard of the band, didn't know what to expect. It sounded both vaguely familiar and completely different all at once. Songs used different unique sounds. Vocals felt like they slightly carried between songs. Not a lot of lyrics stuck with me, but all the songs had elements that sounded different from one another (so not sounding like one song blending into another), yet still tied together. I'm looking forward to listening to the album again to let it sink in more; listen for more that I didn't catch on the initial listen.
Was already familiar with this album and really love it. It has some truly great songs on it. There are some songs I usually skip through cause they don't hit as well. Kind of hate there is 'use somebody' and 'be somebody' on the same album. I really like one and not fan of the other, and can never remember which until I give them a listen
Does nothing for me. Just boring music to me. I don't hate it. Don't lose this number is okay, but possibly only because of its familiarity from radio play. Nothing else stood out to me in anyway
Tried to be impartial, but I just don't like the style. Everything just made me think of a sad, quite, sparsely populated bar. Some of the lyrics were entertaining, but again, didn't enjoy the style. Thankfully it was a short album
Ambient electronic that didn't do much of anything for me. Easily forgettable. I know the band name, but not sure why I know it if the rest of their work was anything like this
Starts off with really good beats and sounds. Towards the end it started to loose me, but overall I enjoyed it more than I wanted to
Well I fucked up on this one. The album refered to is relatively short and good jazz. I unknowingly listened to the complete version, which clocked in over 2 hours and had multiple introductions and "that's it folks." The spoken parts were rather annoying to have constantly throughout a live album (pick one introduction, limit endings). I don't feel like going back and listing to the shorter, original album, but I don't think being more condensed will up my rating anyway. Jazz doesn't blow me away or beg me to listen to that particular album again right away (my criteria for higher vote)
Pop or R&B, whatever combination this is considered just doesn't do anything for me. I remember liking 'waterfalls' as a kid, relistening to it didn't hit the same. Heard way more cheesy porn music sound in it, that I don't remember haha. What seemed like lots of repetition of the album title during skits or interludes and I found it a little annoying.
Engaging beat for most of album. Lyrics don't do anything for me. Curious how many songs I heard prior and assumed were snoop solely because he was the singer.
This is the 80's kind of music I like. A couple classics, a few others early on that were new to me and sounded good. 2 songs were really boring though. But overall I enjoy the darker synth wave sound of the album.
Don't outright hate it. But not sure why it is on this list. Did absolutely nothing for me
Perhaps right place right time, but found this album beautiful and relaxing, except for a few random out bursts that happen throughout. But not sure if I could be able to name the album or artist if I ever heard the pieces again
Found this Beastie Boys album less annoying than the last one from this list. Sabotage was always a standout as a song of theirs that I did enjoy. What seemed like lots of instrumentals on this. Some sections even felt like jam band territory, which was unexpected (and not wanted).
Love the offspring. High energy, fun album. Only one song has a slow intro that kind of ruins the flow. I will admit that I'm hindsight, one song can be hard to distinguish from another in a few instances
Surprisingly a bit heavier than I anticipated (based solely on 'smoke on the water') and that's not a complaint. It was alright 70's era rock
A bit twangy but really enjoyable and oddly comforting sound. Reminded me of the intro to an older movie or television show but couldn't place what exactly
Nice calm voice, clear lyrics. Enjoyable time, but only 'julio and me down by the school yard' is the only song I'll remember as Paul Simon
A lot of fun catchy pop music, that despite being about break ups a lot of the time, was pretty fun
Okay Britt rock from early 00"s. Nothing really great, but nothing bad about it
Enjoyable time, even if most songs were about being separated from a woman in one way or another. Had a bit of a timeless feel to them. I hope I can remember the artists name in a week or so
Unmistakable 80's synthwave sound. First few songs each sounded like they incorporated a different genre's influence. Interesting approach, but ultimately I found the album boring
Kind of interesting to have the India influence with the electronic dance music. Not really for me though. Just became interesting background noise, or probably dance floor break song to rest feet and just bang head for a lil bit
I grew up in a doors household, so a little biased. Morrison has a unique voice and I think the band has an early good incorporated use of synth (or something that sounds like synth). Good songs, I think there are better ones, but I don't think I'd turn off any doors album once it started
Sunday bloody Sunday is my favorite u2 song and I could listen to it alone on repeat for awhile. The rest of the album was enjoyable rock and left me with a more favorable opinion of U2 than others albums have.
Goofy, but fun lyrics. Alright rock from the era
Solid entry to numeral genre. Some good metal songs, some forgettable. Wait and bleed is such in my head.
Weird but fun pop music. Some more fun than others. Random thoughts while listening: does Cyndi play harmonica herself? Is this UFO noises? Is she trying to be Betty boop? Is she breaking?
This album had few and far between glimpses of potential, but mostly sounded like random noise to me
Not sure if this was jazz or something more tribal, but it sounded good. Especially for being live. Kind of nice to have description for song titles
The Smiths vibes. Tried to pay attention to lyrics but nothing really stuck as being memorable
Good voice. Nostalgic feel almost throughout. Old man and heart of gold are timeless classics. Would listen to again and try to pay more attention to it, but hard not to skip straight to those two songs and listen on repeat
Started off with potential. Sounded from the era but like they were trying stuff others weren't and I appreciated the slight mix up, but about halfway through I got bored
Nice pensive voice and mood. Wish I would've listened in the evening, or better yet at dusk, to really set a proper mood. Didn't think too much would stick with me, but now that it's stopped I want his voice to keep going, even if 'The Ocean' repeats those words a lot, and "papa's going to kiss those Ruby red lips" is a bit odd.
Pretty biased on this one. Never like Eddie's voice. Lots of popular songs on this album. Good rock and I can appreciate for the time this sounding pretty different, but the voice kills a lot of it for me
Found it kind of underwhelming. Killer queen has always been a fun one but the rest of the album didn't really do anything for me. And slightly annoyed the song sheer heart attack isn't on this album
At first it reminded me of Beck. Then of coffee shop music. Then a house band, that you'd rather play quieter so you can hear your friends talk, this isn't the band you paid to see anyway. Not for me
90's girl punkish rock sound. Not sure if it qualifies as riot grrl. But it was fun energy. I like that style and while a lot doesn't stick with me, I could have the album in my driving cd rotation for awhile
Unique vocal sound. The only rush song I knew prior was Tom Sawyer, so entire album was new to me. It's just good classic rock. Not anything annoying, nothing truly amazing to me tho.
First disc was better than I'd like to admit. Albeit some songs felt like they went on too long. Got bored by disc 2. But has classic led Zeppelin sound which is hard to deny being good
Alright electronic. More fun than some of the ambient stuff this list has on it. Personally I like bass heavy stuff more and I don't get that until 'Don't give up', and it was the only one that fit my tastes. Album wasn't standout enough to get me to seek out more from the group (which I've heard of, always seen albums for, never checked out prior.)
Third time this group has popped on this list. The best one I've heard yet, just because it had a bunch of hits on it. But the songs that were new to me were just classic beastie boy sounding songs - meaning they were slowly annoying than anything else. But this is their album that I'm most willing to give another try. Really hope they're done appearing on this list
Folky and unexpected. Made me think of the wickerman, but it's not quite that. However, it was annoying to have 3 versions of one song
Um. Not sure how this got on the list, unless it was just first of it's kind. Very hard to distinguish difference between each song. I like some death metal with undistinguishable vocals, but those tend to have some sort of rhythm to the rest of the music. This was just non stop thrash. But five minutes felt the same as the entire 30+ minutes.
Didn't stand out in anyway. Didn't hate it. But almost instantly rogot what I listened to
Alright rock. Easy listening? Variety of instruments used. Didn't move me to love or hate it
I already knew of tricky and have a few albums. Never listened to this one before. Decent trip-hop (I think that's the genre). None of the songs stuck with me like some of his other stuff does but It was an enjoyable hour
It was okay. Only memorable things were a song about Jesus and what I assume to in a source song for moulin rouge.
Already own this album, already enjoy it. Good glam rock, pop rock. Doesn't go as heavy as I always imagine the album cover implies (and that album cover alone is iconic), but a lot of catchy songs the more I listen to. Never disappointed when it gets played. Bang a gong (get it on) was my intro to T. Rex and is featured here
Classic talking heads sound. Didn't do much for me except for psycho killer is always amazing. The rest of the album easily forgettable for me
Not my style but had some classic and fun beats. One song near the ended sounded like it was skipping though and it was annoying. Could've been a bad download from Spotify
Good collection of instrumentals. Some I think I even recognized, but can't place where from. Nothing bad to say. Don't imagine myself remembering this one
Some fun Bowie. The classic Heroes is on the album and it's hard to deny. A few instrumentals towards the end that kind of felt out of place, but good album overall
Cowboy and bawditba (spelling) are guilty pleasures, albeit "chicks with beepers". Is very dated. Kind of fascinating to hear Eminem on a track. Lots of funk beats. Alright storytelling with some of the lyrics. Have to separate art from current artist. 'i am the bullgod' making an appearance twice was unnecessary
Alright "experimental". Would like to listen to again in a better setting, not doing anything else. But it wasn't ear sharing noise like some other experimental stuff
Good folk music and story telling. Another prime selection showing Dylan isn't as annoying as I originally thought him to be based off the few songs I heard prior to this 1001 project.
Good laid back rock music. A lot of songs just made me think of turn! Turn! Turn! Though, which isn't on this album. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing that nearly every song made me think of one specific different one
Started up and made me think of 'mr. Crowley' for some reason. Some classic hits that are hard not to sing along to. The other unfamiliar songs sound just like those hits, just less catchy.
Lots of great songs I was already familiar with. A few in between sounded good but easily forgettable. Not perfect from start to finish, but pretty damn good
Alright beats, but mostly bored with the album and wanted it to be done much sooner. Maybe I wasn't in that right mindset, or just wasn't for me, but this listen was meh.
Classic soul sound. Can't remember any songs once it's over, but I enjoyed the time, and wouldn't be disappointed at another
Low trip hop vibes. Reminded of a few other bands. Heard of the band, but not positive if I've ever actually listened to them. Enjoy time spent with the album, not positive if I could differentiate from a few other bands
Fun rock. I enjoy the sound. First time listening to a complete album of this group (but I already knew and loved American girl). Don't think songs has a typical song structure with choruses and repetition. A lot of songs felt pure story driven. However, I found myself wishing songs were longer, that it wasn't quite over as quick as it was. American girl is a good feeling and vibe to go out on though
Slower electronic. Found it enjoyable, and the voice sounds pretty unique to me
Allergies and 'cats are cars' were pretty amusing. The album is really quiet and subtle. I enjoyed it despite struggling to hear it all (while working). For some reason while listening to this album I kept picturing Patrick Bateman trying to tell me why it was a good listen.
Glam rock sounding. Most interesting part was hearing original versions of songs that were featured in the film Velvet Goldmine. Did get a little bored towards end
Really enjoy the cure, already familiar with the band. Most songs I don't think I've heard before. All were enjoyable to me except the last. Could still listen to the album on repeat for awhile if I had to
Just sounded like classic rock. Occasionally different sounds/instruments were used than I expected to hear but mostly uneventful for me.
I was always told by my mother to listen to this album. It was pretty neat and different. Not entirely sure I'd ever listen again. The end of the album has a bit that was pretty funny, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was now, other than relative to art.
The album reminded me of the few songs featured on the lost highway soundtrack. None of his catchier or dancey songs, all a bit somber. I understand how people listened and were able to predict he was about to die. Alright album, but definitely requires a mood, not anything I'd put in heavy rotation
Alright vibe lounge music. Nothing bad to say, nothing stand out. Doesn't help I followed up with a different band of same style that I know much better
Vocals sounded a bit quiet or drowned out. Would like to listen again on something with equalizer settings. But what I could hear had good punky energy. Not sure when I'll listen again, but there will be a repeat and it'll be in days not weeks or months.
Funk isn't really my style but I found the album entertaining enough
Not sure where country and western came in, unless it was all covers of that genre. Alright music. Sounds very of the time and makes you dwell on it, but the album goes on longer than I cared for that particular style and feel
Had that 90's feel and rage. Doll parts stood out the most, but maybe because I've heard a line or two previously.
Great indie rock album. I like a different one from this band better, but this captures the sound and feel well enough
Entertaining folksy music. Song about cocaine was probably the best and most stand out. Not my style but good for what it was
Some great Zeppelin songs appear on this album. Sound great together, much better than individually on the radio
Alright singer singer writer (I guess that's the genre). I didn't dislike the sound, but after it was over, didn't remember a thing about it
Okay introduction to The Smiths and their sound. 'There is a light...' had what's been a favorite, but nothing else stood out of initial listen
Different from what I normally listen to. Not sure if anything stands out enough to remember names but it was enjoyable change of pace
Nice folksy rock. Liked the rendition of staff by me. Not sure if it was original and I didn't realize, but enjoyed the take nonetheless
Calm and relaxing afternoon type music. Kind of reminded me of something from a wes Anderson movie, then a song later realized it was 100% used in Garden state.
Just fun punk rock. Some silly lyrics. Entertaining cover of suffragette city.
The music was alright, not quite my style, but the album itself had multiple versions of the same track and it got annoying. After looking into it, apparently that was the reissue. Reissue would be 2 star. Original as intended, without the repeated tracks, would be way more tolerable
Completely new band to me. Sound reminded me of a lot of indie rock bands that came later, like The Fratellis. Had some fun lyrics, had energy behind the music that made me want to do something, without the m that necessarily being going smash something up.
Has some undeniable hits on this album. Some I had never even heard of. Not perfect from start to finish, but long lasting impact
Not quite my kind of music, but very surprised by how many songs I already knew enough to sing along with. So many hits. Still had some forgettable songs mixed in that made it not start to finish great.
Slower than expected but was enjoyable. More funk than I expected as well.
Lots of great songs I was already familiar with. Classic DOORS
Fun pop music. Poison arrow I'm sure I've heard before, but it's the most catchy song on the album. Can't remember any other song, but wasn't bothered by any
Okay album for something I'm not into. Some catchy entertaining stuff, but it was a long album and got tiring. Understand why so many people said g-g-g-g unit.
Alright reggae. Not my style but no complaints
Sounded very much like other talking heads I was already familiar with. I might have known one song already, but nothing really jumped out. I'm sure if you enjoy talking heads, this album is great; if they're just okay, this album is just okay
Killing mood is fantastic, the rest of the album was just alright. 80's sounding moody synth pop.
Entertaining classic rock sound from a band I was unfamiliar with
Alright rock I suppose, but much slower music than I expected. Even one song I was already familiar with didn't save that I got voted with the album, ready for it to end
Double album so going into I knew it'd be long. Wasn't my style so it felt as long as I expected. But I enjoyed a lot of it. I could handle it better in bits and pieces and appreciate different styles and a few appearances of rappers I'd hear of later
Punky high energy from some one I've been heard of, and would have thought was from the 90's. I guess that makes it ahead of its time
Not as up beat as I anticipated. Felt like a different side of the beach boys than what I was used to from radio play but I enjoyed it
Not my style of music, but nothing bad to say about it. If it were my taste I'm sure I'd absolutely love it.
Alright pop, almost disco music. Not my style but wasn't miserable, it was an alright change
Never heard of this one but I enjoyed it. Decent flow, clear message, wish I could have found the 4 songs Spotify and YouTube didn't have so that I could hear the whole album
Not for me, was pretty slow. I considered it alright despite that, but the long the album the went the more I wanted it to be over
Not what I expected. At first I thought it was kind of refreshing because it's not quite any of the other albums I listened to so far. But everything kind of sounded the same and it was just alright. A song here or there in a playlist would be fun, the album with all the things back to back is less appealing
Slow, chill, not for me but had a clearly said what was set out to be said and sounded good doing it
Different indi rock. Felt mostly dream like. I want to listen to it again, but not sure if I need to tell my friends what they're missing out on. Lingering feeling that can't quite describe
Listened to the album before. It's alright, but I think the art is more memorable than a lot of the music.
It's jazz. Not the biggest fan, and the more I hear via this list, the less interested I am. Sounds ok but runs long
80's style pop music. Nothing to particularly hate on, but the only thing to stand out was a song about freedom reminding me a lot of 'faith', which isn't on this album.
Fun poppy songs. I think I was familiar with only one, but that's the only one that stuck with me. Not sure why this particular album makes the cut, unless it was just because it was early
Chill electronic indi music. Good vibes. First song reminded me of completely different song and that song is now stuck in my head, nothing from this album
Already a fan of the smashing pumpkins. I think bill corgan's vocals were a unique and the group created some great alt rock. This was a good album to use as an intro to the band.
Sounds like classic rolling Stones. Nothing super catchy, but I imagine if you're a fan of the band it would've satisfied the itch for new music
Better than I anticipated (only know common from his acting rolls). Lyrics that were serious without sounding just like gangster rap. Stuff had good flow, a lot chill allowing lyrics to come through clear
Good chill lounge music. Not sure what makes it better than others but it's an me to start with, ready to have on in the background on repeat
Honestly just felt like another Jesus and may chain album. I'm a bit of a fan of them but I didn't find anything better about this album than others
Didn't know what to expect but it was chill and different and deserves another listen
Beats were good. Some lyrics were funny, some were kind of dumb or repetitive and got annoying
Just okay. Nothing incredibly inspiring, nothing to hate on. Enjoyed it but forgot almost everything about it already
Not my style, will never listen again, but was enjoyable despite that. "Honky tonk angel" haha
Not a concert I would've enjoyed. A lot of jam session and not a fan. Instruments played well
Funky. Alright music, some classics, but ultimately not for me
Appreciated the beats, the flow, collaborations and just the sound of his voice in general. Wouldn't be upset ever if it came back on. The album art is remarkably corny to me though
Some parts funky, some soul I guess. Not quite sure how to describe it. It was alright, nothing I'd see out again. Near to hear original (?) / different version of higher ground
Chill mostly instrumental. Enjoyed it a lot. Probably couldn't recall who it was if I heard a specific song again
Some classic hits. Solid guitar playing, and funky beats, but gets a little too much jam / guitar solo
General fan of nu metal when I hear it and this was a good take. I knew two songs already but the new stuff was fun and entertaining. Really enjoyed the song with the nin references through out the chorus. Only thing I didn't enjoy was multiple songs talking about chocolate starfish. Not sure why certain groups like to repeat the album title throughout their albums.
Blue orchid absolutely fantastic. That song alone is worth greatness. The whole album sounds like a variety of things. Nothing hits like first track, but that doesn't mean other songs aren't fun and also get stuck in my head. "I'm thinkin' about my doorbell, and when you gonna, when you gonna ring it"
Indie rock with a voice I couldn't stand
I enjoy t.rex but can't really describe why. Bolan's voice is a little different but otherwise I can't put into words what makes it stand out compared to other things
Alt Rock with a unique and refreshing voice
Always heard of group, never listened. Was fun brand of various weird, until last song or two. Those are but harder to return to. Overall, wasn't disappointed
Alright British invasion rock. If that's the style your into, no disappointments, fits right in
Fun techno-y dance music from someone I never heard of.
Good singing, lots of hits, but for some reason it felt like a LONG album. I guess it's good, but just not my style and I was ready to move on
Reminded me of tow waits a bit. Felt a little more like spoken word about some dark topics. I think it's something I'd need to be in the mood for
Was already familiar. Where is my mind alone is worth the album, and hard to ever forget. The rest of the album is a fun listen, but doesn't stand out nearly as much
Not particularly my style but good beats and flow throughout
More fun that I anticipated. More disco feeling than the modern pop, to me. Some songs already familiar with but never connected them to Michael Jackson.
Already owned. I think it's an enjoyable album with some great songs. 'Changes' is great, and feels completely different from black Sabbath I was used to.
Not what I expected from bee gees. Sadder and more reflective than the disco stuff, but I enjoyed the mood. Wish I had listened to it while I was relaxing instead of working.
Not my style. It was okay, but nothing stood out to me
Not for me. 20 seconds into each song, it sounded like same song. Not familiar enough with anything about the style to hear why it stands out amongst its peers.
Better than I expected. I vaguely recall being aware of money for nothing, but it not meaning much to me. Finally revisiting it, it's much catchier than when I listened to it younger. I enjoyed the album and some use of uncommon instruments throughout
Didn't think I knew this artist. Turns out I was familiar with multiple songs, and I enjoyed them all. The songs I didn't know, I still enjoyed and while I don't need to right this minute, I'd gladly listen to the whole album again, maybe even purchase it.
Not my favorite Metallica, but it was good to hear some different songs than ones from the radio
It was alright. Half familiar with two songs and at the end of it, those are still the only two I remember.
Alright jazz. Still can't tell much apart. I suppose I can only tell jazz apart from how it makes me feel, and this was just feeling average
Alright beats but just couldn't get into it and easily forgot what I listened to once it was over
Had more energy behind it than I was expecting. It was alright. Nothing such with me
Alright music. Nothing I didn't like, but nothing stood out or stayed with me
Oasis sounding like Oasis. I like Oasis, so I enjoyed the album
Decent alt/indie rock. Listened to it twice cause I enjoyed the vibe, but still nothing stuck with me to remember anything specific
It was alright individually, but the longer the album went on the more nasally is sounded and I got more frustrated it just wasn't over yet. I think I can handle Dylan piece meal, not all at once
Entertaining punk. Lately been struggling to remember what I've listened to, but I remembered "no Christmas for a junkie"
More energetic than I was expecting, but fun time
Fun and entertaining. More chill rap. Not 100% why I needed to listen to it, but not disappointed
Upbeat, enjoyable time. Probably couldn't pick the music up out of a line up, but I could recognize the artists name if I saw it again and say I liked it
I don't think I've listened to a whole Joplin album before. It was an enjoyable album. Nothing bad to say about it.
Not got me, but it was alright flow and beats from someone I hadn't heard of. Style reminded me of Aesop rock
Liked it more than I expected. Not a fan of the finish each other sentences style, but it wasn't terribly annoying with this album. Good beats, and pretty clear lyrics. The song about dreaming, with the constant "wake up" I can't get out of my head.
It seemed really quite and difficult to make a lot out. Excited to hear original version of Bring the pain, but the cover I know better runs faster. Was kind of bored with this one.
Fun Bowie. Made me want to move around a bit, kind of put me in a better mood. Only complaint was the piano throughout seemed a little like a crazy person playing... Which I guess is fitting
Alright album. It's the quirky rock I would expect from r.e.m.
More lyrically driven than I expected. Have always seen the album, but never listened before. Enjoyed it
Chill music. Good vibes
Love the album, some unforgettable tracks. Then there are tracks that kind of blend with others and can't keep them apart, but I'd still return and listen to the entire thing on repeat for the energy alone
Started off okay dance music, not my thing but it was fun. Lost in music was entertaining lyrics, hopefully I remember that one. We are family is catchy classic, even if I always roll my whenever it plays in a movie or tv show. All the love songs in between were kind of meh.
More fun than I've had with some other rolling Stones albums. More of their classic sound, but did get bored with the album at some point and was ready for it to be over
Most of the songs I was unfamiliar with and found them enjoyable
80's sound utilizing a wide range of instruments. Wasn't for me at all
A bit slower paced than than I was expecting but everything subbed great.
Chill and kind of calming. Nearly put me to sleep, but better than I expected from my preconceived notions of Radiohead.
Punk rock vibes I was expecting from the clash
Alright techno/ trance (something along those lines). I've heard at least one if not more songs in various compilations.
Classic rock sound, enjoyable stuff. Particularly like yes sir no sir.
Not usually my style, but such a powerful voice. Nothing to complain about
Lots of interesting instrument choices. At one point said this is the most whistles I've heard in any song. Could kind of hear influence they had on later stuff.
Familiar with name but not music. Alright kind of punk sounds. Reminded me of The Pixes in a way. Songs were all too short to really get into and remember anything specific
Le freak is classic. Mostly alright fun album for being disco music. One song felt painfully slow, I think it was 'at last I am free'
Lots of cool synth. More instrumentals than I expected. Previously familiar with cars, which has grown to be a bit corny, and a cover version of metal. Great to hear the original.
Epic is an alright, arguable, classic. The metal isn't bad, but for the most part I just don't like the vocals. A lot are too whiny. The was pigs cover didn't really do much
I don't think I've ever listened to Rod Stewart before, despite knowing the name and being able to recognize him. I certainly haven't listened to an entire album before. This wasn't bad. Enjoyable Rock with clear lyrics.
I think I was only familiar with one of these songs. Everything sounded new to me, different but still familiar. Enjoyed the album
Not my style. Alright beats I suppose, slower than expected but at least made lyrics clear. Not sure what makes the album great, and all I'll remember is the song featuring Kendrick Lamar saying pussy a lot
Classic rock sound. Enjoyed it. Space oddity had a song that sounded like it utilized a kazoo
Some catchy classic beck songs. The rest I'd never heard and didn't quite stick with me but at no point was I disappointed
Meh. Kind of lounge music vibes. Soft easily forgettable. Was getting ready for a funeral when listening to, so a bit distracted. That being said, nothing about the music commanded my attention away from my own thoughts. It was just a little boring for my tastes
Trippy sci-fi. Decent beat to not sound quite like a jam band, but something meticulously put together. Still didn't need two hours worth
Much better than expected. Just instrumental covers of songs that added bongos. Sounds silly but nothing was bad about it.
Better than I remembered. Could probably be happy with it on repeat for awhile
Alright, average-y sounding older rock
For the most part couldn't understand lyrics. It sounded like a lot of mumbles and I didn't understand why I was listening to it
Great indie rock. My body is a cage is an ear worm I can't get rid of
Not sure if easy listening is the right description, but it was easy, kinda of calm afternoon. A few unconventional sounds so it didn't just seem like dude with a guitar. Enjoyed it and after it was over wanted to keep listening to more.
Sweet short punk
Heard of, never listened to. Better than expected. Fairly clear lyrics while still being pretty metal
Not really my style but I enjoyed it. Clear lyrics, kind of catchy. Especially enjoyed traveling man
Just sounded like synth pop to me, nothing bad, nothing catchy. Easily forgettable
A little too jam band. Short album, but felt much longer.
Good classic rock
Alright indie sound. Wasn't in the mood, but wasn't against it
Started out kind of cool dark synth pop. Lots of xylophone sounds. Kinda fizzled out on the interesting after first three or so songs
A bit quiet sounding, but enjoyed the vibe. Occasionally reminded me of Jesus and Maryc Chain.
Really good if you're into blues. Some of lyrics were funny
Alright indie alt rock with some punk vibes to it
Ok indie music. Calm vibes but two listens and I can't remember a single young unique
Bookended with classic Bowie songs. Stuff in middle was just alright, sounded reminded me of funk and just not what I expected (from what little I knew apparently)
Fun earlier electronic weirdness.
Reggae. I know so little and not sure what makes this stand out against other in the genre. Alright if you're in the mood for it
Alright pop. The standout is the song everyone already knows. Don't remember anything else. Less weird than last album of theirs that was recommended.
Good album, wish it wasn't edited. Funny there is a song twice but also a little annoying for a recording
No idea what this was, but way more enjoyable than any expectations. I could listen to it again if need to
Started with some cool beats and flow, but halfway through I started getting bored
Catchy songs from unique enough voice. Enjoyed the album, even songs I didn't already know
Kinda dreamy, quite sleep music. Okay in moderation, not sure I wanted a full album
Alright jazz/lounge.
Heard Frank Sinatra before, so knew what to expect sound wise. Nobe of the songs I already knew were on the album but it was enjoyable and met expectations
The only place I know I've heard Nick Drake before is the Garden State soundtrack. After listening to this whole calm, chill album, he definitly has a distinct and memorable voice. I don't remember much about the songs themselves, but I remember the experience
Not my style but was fun good mood music
Alright. Nothing stood out to me. Quickly forgot all the I heard
Great sound. Voice I remember, but none of the lyrics from this album stuck with me
Mostly unimpressed with Pete Gabriel. Just alright 80's rock sounds, but I was entertained by the song about being left alone
Never heard of this group. Music felt a little all over the place but it was pretty interesting and some of it gave me gorillaz vibes.
Completely new artist to me. Entertaining style, not quite like anything else I've ever heard, but not sure if it's want to search out more of his work
Already familiar with album. Starts off real strong with catchy songs, better than I remembered even. Halfway through I got bored and found things forgettable, thus reminding me why I was unimpressed with the album past the singles that came from it when it first came out.
Pretty biased with this one. I've listened to this on repeat for weeks at a time, and can blindly sing along to the whole thing. I think it's fantastic album that sounded unique. Only two songs I think slow momentum down; one of which being the final song and doesn't require to maintain momentum, but the lyrics of both are still great.
Was vaguely familiar with the band but not this release. Was not a band I expected to see. After listening, still not sure why it made it, but it's nice background music. Doesn't put me to sleep, doesn't pump me up, just sounded kinda decent while I was steadily doing my task. Effective enough that I listened twice in a row, but not because anything stuck in my head I needed to hear again. It was more I just wanted to keep on pace with what I was doing, and this album worked well enough for the first hour, let's try for the second
Alright country. Not my style but nothing to complain about, enjoyed his voice. Not quite sure I've ever actually listened to more than 2 of his songs
Alright, but not my style and mostly blended together
Not my style but enjoyable country. Not too much twang. I enjoyed the final song Jackson the most
Fun and energetic. I think more than one song sounded like tutti-frutti, which is only one I knew and only one I will remember
Alright. Always meant to listen to this album, but after having done so, don't think I missed much
Not sure what I was expecting, or how to even describe it, but very much enjoyed it. Minimal lyrics, engaging beats
What quite sure what to expect from Tom waits album. I think I recognize him more from from appearances and a few random songs. Entertaining story teller. Could easily picture being in crowded room listening to him, much like the cover of the album.
Fun jazz. Still didn't know what distinguishes it from bad or good jazz.
Not quite my thing, but could tell it was good guitar playing throughout, which got the impression he was a guitar playing blues man. Mission accomplished
Tupac's voice is deeper than I expected. Not sure why I expected something different. Some of it was alright and enjoyable lyrics. The other songs weren't bad lyrics or beats, they just were not my style and therefore not captivating to me.
Didn't know who this was or what to expect, but I enjoyed it a lot. Some of it is still stuck in my head. Not a fan of the skits, but most everything else I liked.
Exactly what I expected from Sinatra
Made me think of a rainforest for most of it, maybe what you'd hear in the background of rainforest Cafe. I guess it was ok. Kind of cool to hear original song that was later sampled to be do you think I'm sexy
Instant nostalgia that I couldn't place. Best guess is I recognize the voice from N.B.K. soundtrack. I like the voice, I like the vibe. Wish I would've listened sitting in the dark and not doing anything else. The lyrics didn't stick with me too much, but I can't escape the feeling the album have me despite that
More punk feeling than I expected, having only known 'brass in my pocket' song. Enjoyed the rest
Not at all who I was ever expecting to see on this list. Was familiar with, and this album sounded what I expected. I can listen to it sporadically, but I could never deep dive or listen to them endlessly, would probably never request it anywhere unless trying to troll someone. But as someone who really enjoys industrial music, I appreciate it and like it as background noise
Parts were okay, but when I started to think that it would turn into jam session again and I'd get a bit annoyed again.
Didn't know what to expect. Upbeat, kinda of punk attitude. Enjoyed it
Love The Doors, some classic songs on this album. Tendency to jam just to the bring of annoying and then started singing again. Texas radio song is kinda off and not my thing
Didn't know what to expect, having never heard of this band. It was okay. A lot of the songs made me think of pub songs to sing (or shout) along too. Occasionally Irish jig feel
Sounded like the new order I'm familiar with, synth pop (or whatever they're described as), however none was as catchy as what I was already familiar with
Calm and kinda chill. Relaxing
The Tom waits I was expecting. Kind of bizarre but I really enjoyed it
Just fun punk. The short kind that leaves you wanting more, not the long albums that go on way too long
British Alt Rock that I didn't think I've heard of before but enjoyed. Fast and energetic. Not so interested I want to deep dive, but would be interested to see them live. I can only imagine how fun that could be
Title track is classic and already familiar with. The remaining tracks were smooth and enjoyable.
Heard the name but doing if I ever listened to before. I feel like I would've remembered this strangeness. The album was a bit bizarre but I enjoyed it. Im not sure I'll intentionally listen again, but I wasn't upset with the experiment
Should've checked out more Eurythmics sooner. Great synth driven beats. Although, after sweet dreams the songs kind of became less interesting
Was familiar with the band name, but wasn't sure from where until I got to the Christmas song. Lots of fun energy, reminding me of bands that came after them. Would listen to it again if I was in the mood for their style.
Not the goldfrap I'm familiar with. Much calmer more indi and less electronic - matches the vibe of the cover art. Some catchy nice stuff, but most forgettable side from the vibe
First song seemed like all mumbles and mostly annoyed me. Things cleared up after that it was alright. Nothing especially rememberable aside from song about jelly
Some classic Aerosmith songs. The remaining tracks were decent rock songs sounding like Aerosmith, just not as catchy
Just long enough to not be too long. Arguably flawless if this is your jam, just not compelling enough to listen on repeat
Didn't know what to expect but it was pretty enjoyable African music
Kind of bizarre. One song sounded like police procedural soundtrack, another made me think 'this is what David Lynch listened to for inspiration'. I've bought random albums from artists I like and been disappointed when I realized it was some experimental stuff and not exactly similar to the material I had been enjoying from them. That feeling is what this album was (without being familiar with any of the artists work)
Heard of Bruce Springsteen, never listened to much songs. Didn't know what genre he was, so a folk album kind of surprised me. Good storytelling and clear vocals. A bit sad and depressing in the mood/vibe
Started out enjoying the sound. Third track or so turned into a horror movie (or something with streaming messed up), back to regular sound but started to quickly get bored after that.
Alright good folk rock sound. Can't remember anything about it half a day later, but I didn't hate it. Just didn't stand out
Cool calm vibes. Was only familiar with wild world previously, and nothing stood out more than that
A lot of really cool songs, maybe if which I've heard covers of. Last song went on too long with outro distortion noise but at least it wasn't in the middle.
I think I left same review for a different new order album, but every song made me think of 'temptation', which isn't on this album. Good synth wave if you're into that.
Nice bit of rock that had me wanting to tap my foot or bob my head along to it, without remembering too much of what any song actually was.
Felt like a fever dream. It was alright, not annoying but I wouldn't say stand out album or band. Really need to be in the mood. Interestingly a song sounded very much like a song Placebo later made and I thought that was coolest thing about the album - Reddit agrees there is a similarity, not just in my head, but I don't think anything is sampled.
Calm and chill. In May have heard sultans of swing before, or at least the term; but that's the only song I remember
Feel good, catchy funk
Familiar with name, not the music. Seemed like ok singer songwriter stuff that had a couple different elements to it but nothing was really capturing my attention. About halfway through I was getting bored and a little annoyed it wasn't over yet. Not for me, but nothing wrong with it
Everything sounded like restaurant background music. It was chill music, but because of that mental association, not in any way an album that touched any of my tastes. Was ready to be over right away
Never heard of this artists but thought the album was fantastic. Cool, varried beats with clear vocals. Wanted to keep listening, wanted to listen to more stuff, only complaint is short album
Calm easy rock vibes.
Already familiar with. Sexy boy is memorizing and unforgettable. The rest of the album feels extremely chill and dreamy. Moon Safari is the perfect name to describe the album. Not something I could listen to all the time, but it is fantastic when mood calls for
Alright flow and beats. Beats were more chill and left a lot of focus on lyrics. Not the kind of music I like. Work it is absolute classic and probably the most memorable song to me.
Folksy pub sounds. Tracks got a bit too long towards the end, but other than that alright
Started out (and ended) kind of uniterstesting and little all over on what it was, the middle was alright
Didn't quite sound like mainstream rock. Felt a bit more punk or underground. Enjoyed it. For all the people that I admire at have said they liked sonic youth, but I never actually listened to the band, this is the sound and vibe I hoped for.
It did nothing for me. A bit all over sounding, with a hint of maybe b-52s. To me, forgettable
Someone introduced me to this album a long time ago, and I didn't enjoy it too much at the time. I thought the vocals sounded like a child, but between then and now I'm less bothered and it sounds like decent indie.
Really weird. Kind of reminding me of a drunk person trying to sing and they don't know most of the words, just some of the sounds
Electronic music that didn't so anything for me. DJ needs a bathroom break type songs
Honky tonk twang. Not my style. I can appreciate the influence they have had on some that I do like, but mostly this wasn't for me
Very familiar with the album. Used to listen to it all the time in college. Always felt like the album was soundtrack for a night out with too much partying, evoking some rowdy, devil may care shenanigans. 'getting bright at night' kind of starts to slows things down a bit for the rest of the album looses some momentum but it's like a breather before rally of the last song, ready to do it all again.
Alright easy listening rock. Nothing I would listen to again by choice but not annoyed by it or upset to hear it
I found it to just be boring bland pop. With a voice so high I couldn't make out a lot of words. I didn't hate it, but to me it was absolutely not memorable in any way. It shouldn't even be rated.
Good rock with classic songs. The songs I was unfamiliar with didn't stand out, but not sure if that was because of the unfamiliarity or just not as great.
Decent singer-songwriter with clear vocals and some bizarre lyrics
Alright rock. Nothing bad to say about it, but not my thing so doesn't stand out too much
Alright, easy listening rock. Vocals were a bit twangy
Alright music. Elvis costello lyrics never catch my attention or stand out though.
Hard to find a complete album. I think YouTube had 4 songs blocked. Loud aggressive jazz. Some was ok but most I just wanted off
Alright rock but didn't really stand out in any way to me
Starts a bit twangy but that goes away. Really enjoyed it. Can't remember any lyrics aside from Ingrid Bergman, but enjoyed the vibe of the album a lot
Found it kinda of funny for some songs but with beats that didn't move me. I can appreciate how others would later build on it, but I wouldn't listen to it again
Psychedelic fever dream of experimenting with no worry about commercial success . Interesting album. Not something Id choose to listen to again, but I can see it being worth one listen
Wasn't familiar with, but it was some nice sounding easy rock.
Great classic rock, with some good hits. No reason to skip any song even if not previously familiar with
As expected very bluesy and guitar jamming. Not my thing, but I imagine it was well done.
Love qotsa. Not my favorite album (no ear worms). But good intro to the band nonetheless
Reminded me of the Jesus and Mary chain and their brand of pop, but not quite. And just enough difference to be kind of annoying and not a fan of this album
Alright jazz. Long album, but okay background music
Except for two rather ominous songs, it sounds like what you'd expect from a solo beach boys. Vegetable song was memorable for its ridiculous lyrics. Most of album made me think of soundtrack to a cartoon, possibly because I remember a lot of slide whistle (but every chance it was just in one song, not throughout)
Slow, maybe pop is the best way to describe it, but I couldn't stand it. It gave me glimpses of stuff that would come later that I actually enjoy from people who I imagine built off this sound, but I didn't need to hear this stepping stone
Decent techno-y dance music, a few I recognize at least samples from.
Classic black Sabbath with unforgettable tracks. But only on side one. Side two was always less memorable, but not bad.
Mostly instrumental, or quiet enough vocals that it seemed that way. Nice calm background
Sounded like the few pet shop boys I was familiar with. Fun electronic pop with a unique vocal
Beats didn't do much for me, kind of simple and boring to me. Lyrics and flow were good and clear. Decent narrative.
Great album. Could listen to it on repeat for awhile... If it wasn't for the final song. That one would always be skipped. Otherwise great energy
I enjoy industrial, and ministry in particular. I think this is a great album, especially the louder it goes. If you're in the mood for loud and fast it's hard to disprove of the nose and energy ministry brings. I do get a bit bored around scare crow.
Didn't really feel like my thing, but beats were good. Lyrics clear. Nothing annoying going on, just didn't vibe with it.
Have symbols from this album tattooed. Not my favorite manson, but it's up there. Most songs are fantastic. Listened on Spotify and realized Spotify doesn't do the annoying hidden track thing with numerous seconds of blank tracks, which I feel is half the experience of some albums. Nothing good comes from this hidden track though
Good alt rock. Nothing lyrically stuck out and got stuck in my head, but I liked the vibes
Didn't do anything for me. Just felt kind of average indi that's interchangable sound
Kinda of different striped down sound. Reminds me of something I can't put my finger on. Would be interesting break and refresher in a compilation. Entire album was a little boring and made me sleepy.
Alright brit pop. Have in on vinyl cause someone more important to me covers a song, so listened to this over on old vinyl. Maybe my quality is bad, but it's just alright.
Okay punk I guess. Most exciting part was hearing the jackass theme. Nothing else really caught my attention
Interesting indi rock. Sounds like influenced from a couple different places but never completely sounded like someone else.
One of those bands I always want to check out (because they pop up in random places), but never remember to. It was odd, just like I expected. But not weird enough to shy me away from checking them out again
Alright singer songwriter. I think I liked a different album from this list better. This one sets a certain mood and vibe that I wasn't in the mood for but it wasn't a bad album
Decent rock pop. Entertained the most by Mr. Clean song
Didn't know what to expect past the word psychedelic, so read a review that slightly influenced my thoughts. Thought this album was awesome. It was drawn out trippy psychedelic that goes on to long. It had energy behind it, it was fun. I can understand how it floats around punk. The wah wah effect that I can only assume is an "electric jug" is kind of cool, but doesn't vary much between songs and gets old. Maybe could've done without - despite that guy being a founder.
Good rock. I think only familiar with one specific song, the rest were new to me and had good energy. Don't think it necessarily stood out as a record I needed to hear once, but it was an alright time
Started very funky and fun, wanted to move around to it. Somewhere a song had singing and talking over it and it was annoying, after that one I felt like the energy disappeared, and it wasn't quite as fun anymore. Just alright.
Alright Indie. Tried very hard to focus and pay attention to lyrics but too easily distracted
Despite being an album I've heard of, didn't do much for me. Has one of my favorite songs from when I was kid, didn't realize how short the songs could be. A few songs with some experiments.
Thought it was a great electronic record. Some songs ran longer than I wanted, but that could've been a mood thing
Alright mostly instrumental. Enjoyed the vocals when there was some on willie the pimp.
Alright classic rock. I know a handful of musicians from other bands were in this one but without knowing it that it didn't stand out much to me
Didn't think I knew this band, but eventually recognized there goes the fear. Rest of album reminded me of other indi bands that sound somewhat familiar. It didn't feel like 53 minutes had passed, I don't remember much of the words or beats, but I liked the vibe and wasn't ready for it to end.
2nd Elvis costello I listened to ever (and from this list). By song 3 I was thinking it's alright, but I don't think I like his voice. Very much liked 'I want you'. After that, nothing else struck a cord but I recognized some influences I assume he gave to later musicians.
I didn't think I realized how short their songs were. They've a nice harmony, but I think I'm happier with a best of. The songs I didn't already know were ok, but didn't hit me in any stand out way
Just fun electronic. Already familiar with, I think there is another album I like more by this band, but around the world is undeniable
So many good songs on this album. And it felt like it never stopped, even when songs were no longer familiar
Kind of funny album, I assume intentionally. Alright music, nothing I'd share with friends, but entertaining for one listen
Fun energy. Boarding on classic rock and early punk stuff. The more the album went the more I thought these guys sound fun, I would've loved to hear them first as an opener and then buy their album and tell my friends they should check it out. Not sure I think that album is perfect start to finish (which is my criteria for 5 stars: perfect start to finish and want to listen to again right away) but the energy was so good I'm rating it high
Pretty great album. I lost some momentum near the very end but for the most apart I like the varried beats and flow. Andre 3000's voice is captivating to me. Some catchy unforgettable songs, and most of the new ones to me were similarly entertaining
Wasn't quite in the mood for his style, but he was good at it. Particularly liked flag won't get you into heaven
Not my style but stare off good. Pretty sad. Long album and did start to get bored (again not my style) about halfway
Sounds so different from later snoop I'm more familiar with. Not my favorite rap album but it was alright. Decent changes in beats, and liked the flow. Sometimes it was funny.
Alright. A bit too long for my taste but liked the vocals and the story
I understand they were og electronic, but it was kind of boring comparatively. Interesting once, but boring
Alright alt rock. Not quite for me, but I think I can understand the appeal. Except for the 12 minute song that utilized water dripping noise halfway through, as if people left mid recording, mic left on captured a drip and some ambiance, then band came back and just picked up where they left off
Reminded me of later singer song writers. Songs were hit and miss for me. One early song seemed like mumbles to me. Overall I think I liked it
Alright soul funk. Not my thing, but nothing to complain about
Very familiar with album. Love it already and get in moods to listen to it on repeat. Lots of great beats and simple lyric dance songs (not a place to come if wanting deep meaning). Handful of songs remind me of movies or tv that they've been used in. Pet peeve with this album is the skit intro to Rockefeller skank is the last part of right here, right now. So that track stand alone ends with that nonsense and ruins it for playlists. But it works for this album as a whole
Raps not my thing. Sometimes it catches me and it think it's great, others it does nothing for me. This was the later. I couldn't not focus on it at all. It got to the point that I was just waiting for it to be over.
Alright hair metal. Didn't know they had a cover of you really got me
Not as bad as the last grateful dead I listened to, but still too jam band and does nothing for me
No idea what he was singing about, but thoroughly enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind owning a copy.
Never followed U2 but surprising too myself I can name a handful of albums, that I've never listened to, this being one of them. Nothing particularly stood out about this album. Bono's voice is kind of unique, and mysterious ways is decent, but nothing really stood out for me (or explained why I would know this album by name)
American pie song is an undeniable classic. The rest of the album is okay easy listening rock. Nothing else stood out to my taste
Maybe it's one of those important when it came out albums, but I was pretty bored with this very '80's pop. All of these I was unfamiliar with prior to going in (but not all Madonna songs) and tried to keep an open mind
Didn't know what to expect, don't think I've heard of this group before. Wasn't really in the mood for it, but I was some nice folksy rock
Thought I had heard of this band and had an idea what to expect. Nope. So wrong. Very honky tonk country. Maybe a little folk, with country feel. For personal reasons I liked Christine, but the rest of it was absolutely not for me. However, it reminded me of recent stuff I listen to that I enjoy, so I can recognize the influence but I'd be fine never listening to them again.
Alright easy listening (?). Sounds like other Paul Simon to me but with a heavy dose of African music as well. I've nothing bad to say about his music, but it's never grabbed my attention.
Okay indi. Takes some active listening to catch the lyrics. Real easy to get distracted to
Decent synth pop. Don't you want me is a classic. Was a little disappointed it didn't last longer, even if I thought s few middle songs had too similar bass beat
I think this would be considered house music. Something along that dance vibe. I feel harsh saying this, but can't think of another way; I found it boring and uninspiring
Didn't think I had heard of this band until I saw other albums. Alright punk. Kind of guy me in rebellious spirit. Could've been fun to see live. Nothing makes me think lll remember it in a few days
I have this album. I think it's okay, but the absolute only memorable thing is bittersweet Symphony.
Cool industrial metal, with little lyrics (at least it felt like little). Def makes me want to check out more. Great for what it is
Classic album. Great hits like white rabbit and somebody to love. Bit of range including blues, rock and psych. Some songs not as memorable, but I don't have anything bad to say about the album
Alright Indie rock. Liked the music a lot. Had some interesting beats, but the lyrics themselves, not vocals particularly stood out
Didn't like it as much as last bjork that was suggested to me. Music felt minimal and quiet, leaving just vocals that don't do much for me if they're not blending with music
Classic goth rock band and sound. That's the only reason I can imagine it's on this list, because I don't think it stands out much past that.
At first I didn't think I know the band but did recognize secretly. Alright for what it is, but I think other bands did the style better and more memorable
I liked dear God but that was about it. The rest was just meh pop rock
Not quite rap, not exactly trip hop but something along this lines. Cool from someone I've never heard of, not sure how well I'll render it though
Some kind of fun punkish vibes with a lot keyboards that remind me of the doors. Some weird choices in vocals or effects occasionally but definitely seems like they were having fun. Some vocal style reminded me of Adam and The Ants
Thought the hives was one of those bands I've always heard good things about and never listened to. Song one and turns out it's one of those bands I don't realize I am familiar with. Great punk energy, makes me want to listen to more. That being said, I still only remember that first song
Smoke on the water and highway Star I'm pretty familiar with abd consider the classic songs. The album itself starts off with great energy and just winds down as it goes. I kind of find it weird, as if the music got tied while I was listening.
I did Tom Waits voice and style. Wasn't quite in the mood for it today but don't have many complaints. Not sure what sets it out above his other albums
Not the biggest fan of Radiohead. This album does nothing for me. I feel like lyrics are often very mumbled and the sounds I just forget what is happening with most songs. I kind of like high and dry but that could be just because I've heard it so many times before
I probably could've guessed this was on factory records without looking up. Has that factory new wave sound with vocals that sound a bit drowned out or just competing with the music and just didn't work for me.
I believe I could hear the influence it had on later music and understand why it might have been culturally relevant/important at its time. Not annoyed I listened to it, but don't anticipate listening again, seeking out further releases or even quite remembering the name of this one
That went on way too long. Really need to be in a mood to consider this a must listen to and nowhere near that mood. Hated that it kept going but I'll give it a little benefit of the doubt
Alright alt rock. Kind of enjoyed their sound, even if it wasn't as heavy as I was picturing with that band name. Not sure why it stands out to be on this list but it was alright
Great voice from someone I don't think I've heard of. Made me think of a few James Bond openings. She was a particular taste but I can't find fault with it, just not for me at the moment
A lot of sax and street life. I guess it was okay if you're into sax, but to me it all blended together
Dug this. I could listen to it on repeat a few times. Good beats and flows, all with variety of delivery and voices. Nothing was mumble wrap. Solid work
Really chill mood setting cure. Didn't seem like much lyrics and felt short but thought it was great. (But think they do better)
I know it's a classic album but I can't really stand it. It moves so slow. I like she's lost control again, but more so for it leading to covers.
It was alright beats and flow. Didn't hate it, but didn't really connect with it. Nothing I can pinpoint to critique
Kind of odd indi electronic rock. Didn't do much for me, wasn't sure why it was on the list
No shortage of honky tonk. Honky tonk not my thing at all, but one or two songs were funny and I guess it fully delivered on what was advertised
I think I need more time between elvis costello albums. He can be okay, sometimes lyrics are fun, but a lot of the time I find his voice a bit annoying.
Just sounded like average 90's alt rock
Alright, kind of corny lyrics but more fun than expected
A bit different indie music. Not sure how to describe it. I didn't connect to it, but it wasn't bad
I thought the first song started strong (may have heard before) then nothing really started with me after that, except for one song I've definitely listened to before on a soundtrack. I thought intro and slut were amusing, but it felt every bit as long as it was
Alright classic rock. Might remember band name, but probably not the sound or any songs. Inference specifically may have had a high pitch squeak in it that was particularly annoying
Decent background guitar picking, but it all sounded like same song
Side one sounds like average classic rock songs about a girl. Side two, the only side I think anyone cares about, has a fantastic baseline for a song that goes on too long. That song alone has to be why this album is on the list, which is both impressive and annoying to keep recommending some one hit wonder albums.
Sounds like classic rock. Nothing specific stood out, but the subs did vaguely remind me of some other things
Songs I was familiar with were great. The ones I haven't heard were not as good and would be skipped to get to the good stuff
Nice lounge music, easy to get lost in. Hard to tell multiple songs apart but a nice listen
Really minimalist music with lyrics that felt like elvis was delivering spoken word observations. I read about some of the bands they influenced, a lot of which I like, and I feel like someone would've got there eventually without this band. Music loops just felt like they were going to build to something and never had a pay off
I recognize open up is a classic and features on a lot of mixes and compilations. To me it's just everything on this album is just so so electronic. It doesn't move me, I don't hate it or annoyed by it, but doesn't do anything for me
I think singers voice is unique and a welcome change. Lots of great alice In chains hits on this album, but listening to it all back to back, didn't realize how long their songs seem and I didn't enjoy it that long. Songs for me are better as pallet cleanser in a playlist than back to back
Things I thought I knew about Jethro till prior to listening. Aqualung the song, use of flute/recorder, beat metallica for first heavy metal Grammy (or some such category; not sure which album). After listening to this album, I might recognize the locomotive song. Tried to whistle along to a few parts, which definitely does not belong in the same category as Metallica; they get head bangs or air drums. The recorder or whatever wind instrument was used made me picture frolicking at a ren fair. The album did have some chords that sounded cool, or possibly fun to play. Listened to remaster which included an interview with the front man, who went on to state he wasn't sure this album was the seminal Jethro Tull the label thinks it was. HAHAHAH. Cool, I wasn't all that impressed either, it's okay but did I need it before I die? Up until that interview wasn't interested in listening to another Jethro album; afterwards, alright, I might check out the one he thinks is in a higher category of works
Was familiar with album cover, never listened to music prior. A lot softer than I was expecting. Both vocal delivery and music in general. Surprising and it wasn't a bad surprise, but was easily distracted
Liked his voice, the clarity of the sound and the ability to follow stories with ease. Not favorite new artist, but I enjoyed the time together
Alright 80's sounding rock. Could've been a bunch of different bands. Don't know what made it stand out, but it wasn't a bad listen
Fun album of funk and jazzy beats. Enjoyable listen, but probably wouldn't return for more
High energy, great vibe. Lyrics often difficult to fully understand but I feel like that's a bit common with the style of music
There are some fun absurd songs on this album, but the only song anyone needs to listen to is I believe in a thing called love. Nothing else on the album really compares
Pretty familiar with this album already and torn a bit. First give songs are fantastic and I could listen to them on repeat non-stop. Everything after is just meh to me.
Not a big fan of reggae but really appreciated the chill and relaxing vibes when I needed them. However, I'm not sure I'd know this album from any other reggae album.
Didn't know the the verve had more one album. Not sure this one needed to be listened to. Just kind of Average music.
Not quite jam band, but felt like a bunch of guys just kind of experimenting with stuff, including vocals. Wasn't really in the mood for this type of music and halfway through it just felt like it was going to take forever to be over
I like the other worldly nature and feel of the album. I just didn't want it for the length of time I got it
Fairly familiar with the band name and a few of the hits from this album. The songs in between hits didn't do much for me. The songs I did know, I'm not sure I have ever sat down and listened to them start to finish before. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood, but I was pretty underwhelmed by what I thought was going to be a powerhouse album
Pretty familiar with blister in the sun, it's just as fun as always. Didn't realize kiss off was this band, I like that song a lot as well. Remaining songs are great fun and punkish energy, just darn it all seems so short.
Not for me, but wasn't anything bad. Interesting cover of imagine
Bizarre album that in already familiar with. Departure from fun catchy pop Bowie stuff. Half album is instrumental stuff that sounds like someone is mentally, forgive me, low. I enjoy the difference this album provides
I think they're a unique band sound. Some alt rock mixed with funk. It just doesn't do anything for me. Even the songs I already knew from the radio don't hit me well
Some songs were okay but mostly seemed like a bizarre voodoo themed album that fell short of what Id want from something with such a theme
Some nice guitar parts but ultimately an absurd amount of solos. I'd be upset to have an hour + concert and only 7 songs cause there had to be a jam session in nearly every single one
Familiar with the pop stuff (eras?) never listened to her mellow stuff. It's alright, sets a decent mood, makes me want to check out the national and bon iver. Find her lyrics to get old, but I suppose that would require prior knowledge
Some punk energy that ultimately blurred all together to me. Some songs beats reminded me of songs that came later from different bands and I be interested to know if they sampled this album, but that'd just be fun facts. It wouldn't improve this album for me
Different kinds of beats than familiar with. Some of what was good. Nothing crazy catchy like some other stuff of hers but a fascinating listen
I recognize the first song and it's a cool funky beat. I imagine this email meant something because it was something different but it didn't do much for me as a whole. Lots of songs and beats felt interchangable
Wtf was this psychedelic folk fever dream? Was that a kazoo? Why am I supposed to listen to this? Maybe I'm being harsh because I had to listen in spurts, and dreaded turning it back on, but was not a fan
Better than I expected. Some good beats and harmony. Apparently I had a stupid grin on my face during happy song. Got slow after that song. Wasn't a fan of the vocal shift nonsense of ooOOoooOooaaaAaa kinda of things but overall decent
Pretty fun jazz, skat, whatever this genre is. Often had ridiculous lyrics, but if I was more into jazz I could see wanting to have his stuff as a go to.
Nice chill indi rock. A few songs reminded me of the temper trap and then I just wanted to put that on instead of finishing this album (but I still finished this)
Not for me. I thought she was going to be pop. Instead it was all the slow ballad-y stuff pop artist put in and it feels like skiable filler. Hated it from song one
Not really for me, but I can see the appeal for the funky psychedelic sound with classic rock vocals
80's pop punk maybe? Alright. Not my style, nor will it stick with me, but nothing to hate on
Didn't really do much for me. Felt like 90's alt rock junk to me. Kind of got the impression the lyrics might have been really good if I paid closer attention but I just want being pulled in by the music
Wasn't really in the mood for the r+b style but there were good lyrics and I liked her voice
All I could think of was this album was a substitute for the doors.
Pretty solid electronic album start to finish. Couldn't really tell where one song ended and another began, but together it seemed great
I like their sound. A lot of it has a nostalgic feel to it without me having actually heard this album before
Went back and forth about how I felt about her voice but I think ultimately I came around. Already familiar with and love love fool. Pleasantly surprised by the iron man cover. Completely different but I liked it
Alright classic rock. Maybe cause of the five finger death punch cover, or the word bad in the title, but I expected the whole band sound to be a bit harder than it was
Cool, subtle, trip-hop like stuff. I don't know if I'm interested enough to listen again but not at all disappointed in the find
Twangy country is not my thing and I thought oh god, but the lyrics were amusing and he grew on me
Not the abba I was expecting. One song early on kind of had something similar to what I expected but that went away. I think at one point it even started to sound like a circus. Perhaps my expectations were set in the wrong direction and I was just severely let down
Maybe this was great when it came out, but it felt so minimalistic. The rhymes were there but the delivery and beats just left me bored
I think I have disco 2000 on a soundtrack somewhere and really enjoy the song. The rest of the album sounded like decent 90's alt rock
I like some pet shop boys. Even when their lyrics don't catch me often times the beats are still really good anyway. This album started true to that
It was okay reggae. That genre has never blown my mind, but also I've nothing to complain about it
Alright punk. Mostly clear lyrics, which is a quality I find gets lost quickly with punk. Can definitely recognize influence they would've had
This was okay music, but it has some weird stuff happening in it. Some weird funny lyrics too like onion head. Not sure I want to hear it again because of how bizarre I found it, but I'm hindsight it was kind of a funny hour
Not my style at all but her voice was good and I can only imagine it's a Standout in the genre. 8 songs feels like a short album.
Not much to say about it. Decent sounding rock, alt rock maybe. Clear lyrics with nice vocals
Alright, interesting rock opera. Version I listened to include live and I was too lazy to turn it off. I appreciated the clarity of the live better; or maybe it was just hearing it a 2nd time more stuck out
Guess it was alright punk. Never really kept my attention though
This album may have been over hyped for me. Alright Rick album, some fun lyrics. Didn't realize Alice Cooper could do high notes
I like the unique vocal sound of r.e.m. I knew some stuff from the band but nothing of this album. Nothing off this album was immediately catchy as other stuff they'd be known for
Alright music. Not sure I would've realized it was a female singer on a few of the tracks.
Somewhat familiar with the band. Kind of hard to describe their version of rock, but I like the vocals and the sound when I'm the right mood, even if none of the songs of this particular album stay with me once it's over
Never heard of artist. Thought is was alright. Not sure I'll remember, but wasn't disappointed
Definitely heard some songs on soundtracks before. Fun alt rock, punky vibes.
Liked the beats and the flow. Some funny lyrics too
