Doggystyle
Snoop DoggRhythms are good but the lyrics are awful
Rhythms are good but the lyrics are awful
Gave me a headache.
It would've been a 1 based on most of the shouty vocals but two songs that were actually sung redeemed it - just! Not my sort of music. You can't relax to it or dance to it.
reminder of my youth a good album to start my journey. The tracks released as singles are fabulous. The album tracks a little bit samey. Copelands drum beats too fast for me in some of their songs sounds like they are rushing to finish the song and makes the lyrics indistinct.
No tracks that I don't like. Album tracks same quality as singles. A chilled album not a get up and boogie!
My first experience of listening to Dylan and I liked it
Rhythms are good but the lyrics are awful
Couple of classic tracks enjoyable
Gave me a headache.
I own it and listen to it loads love it!
I can imagine listening to this again
I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. I'm not a metal fan but I quite enjoyed this album. Love in an elevator the stand out track
I don't mind jazz but usually prefer vocals and the trumpet in jazz a bit too screechy for my ear drums
Too melancholy
Never heard of them before but I can imagine them growing on me
I've never been a fan of Amy though I like her popular tracks. I did enjoy this though I'm not sure I'll be coming back to it to relisten
Never really listened to Radiohead before. It's one of those albums I would have to be in the mood for aa it is the sort that can't be played quietly. But I imagine it will grow on me so
I'm aware of Youngs voice as he's a favourite of my other half. However he's not got this album so it was new material for me. I liked it.
A female voice!
I didn't expect to like this it's not really my genre. But I loved it! It's chilled out an powerful at the same time. I can imagine it as a backing track to an amazing dance routine (I'm almost choreographing it in my head). I think I will listen to this one again
I thought I'd never heard of this artist until I heard one banging tune from my childhood. An album of two halves for me the beginning tracks (up to and including Coconut) were great but after that he seemed to change his style and I didn't like it.
M'eh
Some real classics on this album. Tho some of them better by other voices (Respect, Wonderful world) . Otis voice better with the slower stuff e.g. sitting on the Dock of the bay which isn't on this album
I skipped most tracks I found 1 track that I could listen to all the way through. It was the only track that sounded like a song to me. Most of the tracks each member of the band was playing a different tune to the other band members. This discordant approach to music offends my ears hence why I skipped most tracks.
Of its time. Pleasant enough
Classic Numan
Punk is not for me
Good
I know I should like it more but Sprinstein has some bad memories attached
I really liked this I will try to listen to it again in full
Listened in two halves but surprisingly didn't mind it
Hard to rate too many versions
OK just a bit meh q very familiar track
Skipped through quickly. I didn't hate it but not a fun of punk
A no brainer I always used to think this was a greatest hits album there are so many banging tracks on it.
OK but country is not my thing
One of the better albums of its genre but still not my thing
Very melodius vocals unfortunately the instrument sections are at odds with this.
2 songs rest is 70s elevator music
Would've been more if it was plastic beach love that album!
Starts strong 2nd and 3rd tracks recognisable and excellent. Rest of album best for chilled out. I will probably listen to it again
Too much screechy sax
Shame I can't give half stars it's more than a 2 but not quite a 3. It's better than the average so giving the benefit of the extra half star on the strength of Stan and Slim shady
Not my thing
Having to sit through an entire Hawkwind concert. Played mostly on skip what I heard was repetitive and weird. Definitely not for me
Too much Metal lately. 5th album on the bounce. Hated this one too loud. Guitar too screechy
Not unpleasant but dated and not something I will listen to again
This list is a bit Elvis Costello heavy surely he should have been bit more selective on number of Elvis Costello Albums. Original album has no hits on it. No stand out tracks for me
Surprised myself how much o enjoyed this might relisten
Skipped through the last few songs. I didn't hate it but only one song I like
An album of covers. More for Willie Nelson fans. I liked his choices of songs to cover. His renditions of those not particularly exciting.
I know it's Oasis but I've never been a fan of Liams angry attitude to life and singing. I really liked the last track which was alot slower
Depressing dirge and repetitive non sensible lyrics
Skipped through most of it. Was OK but not really my thing
Steve loved it. I thought voice depressing and instruments discordant though I liked the last three songs not enough yo push it up to 3
After a run of not my things this is a blessed relief. Love Groovers in the heart and other tracks so much more my thing. Dancy but also chilled. Fab
Joplins voice started to grow on me. Puece of my heart tipped the balance. The original but best tho I'd never heard it before only just a 3
Wasn't bad I considered a three but not sure I would listen again
Couldn't get it on Amazon music but the songs I heard were good
I sort of liked it buy it didn't pass the bar to get to a 3
Voice doesn't do it for me but couple of good tracks
Voice has quite a range. I don't like the wailing songs as well as the softer ones but enough melodic ones to get it into a 3
Couldn't get the ambulm
Better rapper than normal but didn't listen to it all
OK but not my sort of thing.
An audition tape for a murder film OK but trying too hard
One classic track the rest was me'h
A joy to listen to this album again. One of my favourite songs ever Paradise by the dashboard light. Listened to it many times and will continue to do so. Full marks will only do
Not on Amazon music couldn't listen to the album. So I listened to the only track I could find which was a poorly recorded live version. Not yo my taste at all if the rest of the 78minute album was similar I'd hate it anyway
Couldn't listen cos couldn't get alexa to understand album title or artist name
Some good ones. Tho some of them improved by covers I like his voice
I've become s fan of Bowie in the past few years. This album didn't contain many of my favourites but it's Bowie so it's no lower than a 3
I like Gabriel so I wanted to like this more than I did no real stand out tracks for me.
Not really my taste though there was nothing on it I hated
Only one famous song but the original is dirge like. The good version is down to fat boy slim.
This was a bit more sad sad than happy sad too depressing
I don't do punk
Nothing to hate but more background music than something I want to listen to.
Better than I expected
I was expecting to hate it but i didn't. Enjoyed the rhythms some of the lyrics washed over me which was probably a good thing. Couple of songs seemed a bit egotistical. If I'd concentrated on lyrics I might have scored lower
Interesting I enjoyed it. If I listened to it more it would grow on me even more
Despite it being a live album the recording was very clear. Love her voice will listen to more by her
Bit more rocky than I was expecting the Tempations to be at the start then drifted back into the style I was expecting. All good dancing rhythm. Upbeat feelgood.
Love this album. Whilst not Gabriel's best it reminds me of my time at college when I listened to it often on my Walkman travelling between college and home.
Better than I thought it would be. Unlikely to listen again but a few hits on the album so it nudges to a 3
African Jazz. Upbeat and happy rhythms get your feet tapping
Too thrash for me. I skipped most of the tracks after the intro
Album is too long. Just over half I didn't hate. Though first first tracks and another 8 afterwards had it heading for a 1 but as there were more that were OK it tipped it to a 2. I've never heard of this band I'm unlikely to chw k out any more pf their stuff
Not a metal fan. There was only one track I would say I enjoyed
Wasn't a particular fan at the time. But I love the gorillaz having the same singer makes the blur stuff more accessible for me
Two solid tracks the rest entertaining enough.
I loved it. Chilled out but still foot tapping rhythms. I can imagine myself dancing to it in the kitchen. I will be adding to my playlist
Punk - Nooooo!
Long album with a mixture of genres I enjoyed their poppy stuff more than their rocky stuff
One of the more palatable punk albums but still not my thing
It would've been a 1 based on most of the shouty vocals but two songs that were actually sung redeemed it - just! Not my sort of music. You can't relax to it or dance to it.
The music is good as a whole. But I struggle to like it because of the ethos of the artist the misogynistic and violent lyrics.
Hard to know what I'm supposed to be rating. I can't find the original album only remastered versions from 1999 and 2006. Both of these albums are linger than the original I went for the shorter of the two. It's OK as it goes though I struggle with the top screechy notes of some of the trumpet solos.
OK nothing standout special
I went forcthe originsl version not the remastered as the remastered one was double the length. Although I recognised the album cover I don't think I'd heard of the band before so I was expecting to hate it. I loved it!
An unusual blend of chilled out techno pop with hints of traditional Indian. Interesting Not bad...was OK!
One of the better punk albums I've heard on this list. Both female and male voices on this album. Strangely for me I prefer the male voice it's more melodic less shouty, essentially less punk.
Nothing I hated but also not particularly inspiring
Not really my thing
The vocals are a little bit morose but generally a chilled out album. Shame Beck sounds the human incarnation of Eeyore.
Not what I was expecting from the album cover. To prove like books you can't judge an album by its cover
I was enjoying this for a while until it turned all "jazzy" with instrumental and vocal showing off which just gets screechy and irritating
Not my taste. Some of it was OK but there was too much chaos in the sound and a little too much screech in the more upbeat numbers.
Sounded like I was listening to music behind a door or underwater quite a muffled indistinct sound. Nothing to object to but not very clear
Some of it quiet tuneful not what I would usually expect with hip hop.
Nothing I hated Only 1 stand out track
I recognise a couple of tracks tho I would never call myself an Artic Monkeys fan it wasn't bad.
One of my partners favourite albums so I listen to it alot in the car when we're driving.
Good tunes. Vocals a bit sad.
Morissette is a strange vocalist, cramming more syllables into every line of his songs than any other musician. He's a great storyteller. I don't really listen to his stuff. Until today. Like watching performance poet I don't necessarily understand how he does it but I like it. I'm going to have to listen to more
I might be getting grumpy as I age but I don't think music should refer to drug taking or violence as it makes it too acceptable to impressionable children. So whilst I enjoyed the music on this album it's lost a star for drug references
I listened to this on a Sunday and it was the perfect chilled out sound for that day of the week. I didn't listen to the vocals so much this time
I like talking heads but most of this album mediocre
Loads of banging tunes on that one
