New Wave
The AuteursIf you like the beatles but shittier in every way this album is for you.

This is the music that comes on at 10pm when your driving home and your phones dead so you can't listen to your own music and your wondering if it's worth driving home in silence just so you don't have to listen to such trash.
DK // 1. Catchy little song. Something fun nothing too crazy or out there. 2. Nice guitar and drums, not the biggest fan of this song. 3. Why does the guitar only play in my right ear most of the song? If this is an intentional choice it is a horrible one when the best part of your instrumental is limited to only one ear, made it a painful listen with headphones. Shame because the guitar is amazing and in the middle when there's two separate guitar tracks playing one in each ear, it actually works and is really cool. Such an amazing track ruined by what I feel is a mixing mishap. 4. Cool track, nothing really stands out for me maybe the little guitar solo at the end. 5. Not really my vibe, probably the first song on this album I actively disliked, didn't like the vocal performance, and the guitar seemed very repetitive. *6. My favorite song so far, full of energy and the GUITARRRRRRR. Great song however as far as I understand, this was only included in the 2011 re-release of the album. 7. Cool track, loving the guitar solo's in the outro's. 8. Nice sonically sounding track. 9. Not really impressed at all by this instrumental track. 10. Definitely a song. 11. Borrrringggggggg, another bad instrumental track 12. Actually liked this one, the chorus was catchy and the guitar sounded groovy. 13. the first half of this instrumental track I disliked, but the second half definitely had something really nice going to it. **14. This song was pretty great and I liked the story behind it too. Honestly, it felt like the latter half of this album wanting it to just finish, every single song just seemed so lifeless with no changes, no real direction, they all really blended in with each other. Maybe stoner rock just isn't for me but I definitely did not enjoy this. Favourite Tracks: 1. The Bronze 2. Give the Mule What He Wants 2. I Was a Teenage Hand Model Rating - 1/5 // Being partial to 90s rock I imagined I'd really love this album. After listening to the first song I thought I was right, however, The rest of the LP feels pretty uninspired. This project doesn't include anything you wouldn't have heard before. Thematically very similar OK Computer, another 90s rock classic, however, Queens of the Stone Age is far less introspective and feels much more shallow. Didn't finish, didn't enjoy it. Only enjoyable songs were Regular John and The Bronze. 1/5
Uninteresting, but with good vocal performances
donio review - bruce springsteen has a very powerful voice and I never felt like he got monotone throughout the album, I liked his singing throughout the whole thing didn’t really see any lowlights, i liked the story behind the album too, a sort of do or die for him and he comes out balls blazing, for me personally however, I found the instrumentals slightly too basic on some songs but I feel like the album is very pop rock (for the time, classic rock for nowadays) so I guess that’s to be expected when your listening to an album made over fifty years ago, I also felt like to me at least, the lyrics didn’t feel too relatable or didn’t connect to me, especially after the last album we just reviewed. I also have not listened to much classic rock so maybe this is amazing for the genre but for me it wasn’t anything special (i always feel like I might be influenced by the fact I really liked the velvet underground’s self titled so I came in with slightly higher expectations). I also have read and saw that this album really shined because it was one of the first examples of a record company pouring HEAPS of money into promotion which bruce hated. Furthermore it seems like the consensus that this album in a live setting is much better. My favourite tracks were as follows 1. Night 2. Tenth Avenue 3. Backstreets As such I give the album a 2/5. // thematically boring, but springsteen’s unique voice makes this an enjoyable listen.
- Not available on spotify ): 1st song. Bop, nothing special but a fun listen 2. Massive downgrade from the first song in terms of the hook and instrumental but still funk music is just so boppy it sort of redeems itself. Some afrocentric elements interlayed in this song. Nice little electric flute solo near the end there. *3. Amazing rock/funk fusion here, loved the guitar in this song, NEED this song on spotify. 4. the actual sound of this song, I love, the actual lyrics though? doodoo. I get what it's trying to convey but was there no better way LOL. The guitar again is just so good, the singing interlayed throughout the song is great. 5. repetitive kind of put me to sleep, liked the chorus 6. ^ **7. laid back in my chair closed my eyes and literally floated into outerspace, the GUITAR how many times have I said that for this album, I could literally sleep to this song, it was beautiful. 8. much more rock centric then anything else on the album, kinda cool not my favourite. Probably one of the first pure funk/funk rock albums I've listened to in my life, was a really cool listen. I can definitely understand the "cult-like" following this album has, I think it's fusion of both these genres is pretty incredible. I feel like this album has a lot of up moments but at the same time track 5,6,8 fell completely short for me and a couple others like 2 or 4 are a few elements away from being a great track. The GUITAR work on this album is incredible and blows everything else out of the water. For my first introduction into this genre, I think it was a great start and while I might not revisit this album too much, I think it has definitely gave me a wanting to listen to more funk records. Rating - //// stand out songs - groove allegiance with its melodic disco rhythm contrasted by the album's central theme of anti-establishment rhetoric makes for a really enjoyable listen. who says a funk band can't play rock might be one of the best songs I've heard in a really long time. it's hook is powerful. maggot brain transported me to another ether for 8 minutes, wow. enjoyed it a lot, definitely a few songs i'll be re-listening to 4/5
DK - Beautiful sounding album, really amazing to get to the roots of where R&B merged and created rock & roll. So many stand out tracks at the start for me, my favorites being 1. Honey Chile 2. What's the reason for not pleasing you 3. La La However, this album does taper off slightly after the first six tracks, slightly losing steam and having some tracks feel pretty similar to others. Another album unfortunately with lots of portions missing off streaming. I appreciate the fact that it is a tight concise album (runtime of 31 mins with the bonus tracks). Fun little album, probably won't revisit any tracks except for the top 3. Rating - 2.5/5 // Aaron - As you would expect of a 50s album, the instrumentals are always on point and a pleasure to listen to, however, the overall songs weren't that enjoyable. While I can appreciate the obvious influence as a pioneer of sound Fats Domino has had, it would be disingenuous to rate this higher than I enjoyed it which is a 2/5. This woulda been a bop in the 50s though.

DK - Couldn’t believe I loved a folk punk album so much, I was so pleasantly surprised by the tracks on this album. I think my favourite for sure had to be confessions but I honestly loved 8/12 songs on this album so that might change with time. The lead singer absolutely killed it with their vocal performance and the way the album tackles themes of loneliness and love was pretty cool, it doesn’t surprise me the write was 18 at the time of writing the songs as it seemed the album came through the lens of a teenager. Probably the best album I’ve reviewed so far. I saw a review saying that if someone put a gun to my head and asked what decade this was made, I’d say the 90’s and end up being shot. Couldn’t agree more, sounds so ahead of their time. The only thing I can detract from this album is sometimes the lyrics go too over the top or too childish, and I think that takes away from a more focused narrative. Rating 3.5/5 // Aaron - So. Much. Fun. From Beginning to end this project is so enjoyable. The songwriting throughout is really strong, creating a pretty unique sound especially for this era. I loved the strings. First album of this challenge that has made me want to put it on repeat. Kiss Off, Add it Up, and Good Feeling were my favourites. 4/5
DK - You know what, I came into this album preparing to give this a literal 0/5, but I was blown away instantly by the lyricism, the voice, the amazing story telling, I literally couldn’t believe it; after the first four tracks I thought this was going to be my first 5/5 album. However unfortunately the album becomes blah, stale and low energy after those tracks except for some stand out tracks (“El Paso”, “In the Valley”). For a country album, something I never thought I’d enjoy, he killed it. Rating - 3/5 // Aaron - Iconic intro song. Beautiful storytelling combined with Marty Robbins' voice makes this album an incredible listen. Every song on this project feels cohesive and serves a purpose on the album. There aren't any tracks that feel or sound half-baked. Robbins deeply explores themes of love, adventure, and melancholy in the old wild west of America, the song-writing is so incredibly vivid that from beginning to end you're transported to the landscape Robbins so powerfully describes. I can't think of a single thing I don't like about this album. Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs is a flawless album. 5/5
DK // God damn. I don't know what was better on this album, the amazing beautiful vocals, the great guitar work, or the groovy piano on literally every track. I can't even pick a favourite song because they all bang so absolutely hard but to be honest, if I had to pick one right now it would be blues deluxe which is super super frustrating because it is not on streaming. The only real miss to me is the greensleeves instrumental track, especially when compared to the only other instrumental on the album. Rating - 5/5
DK // I really really tried to get into this album but I can’t get over how much I dislike his voice and even worse his haircut in that cover photo lol. Favourite track I guess Everything Reminds Me of Her. Rating - 1/5
Not really my thing to be honest, pretty average album, nothing special. Apparently he is also a racist, rapist, and anti-vax. Rating 0/5
Wow that was one of the most interesting albums I have listened to by far. I literally had NO idea what was going on AT all during this whole album. Maybe this is one of those albums that you can look back on and be like wow this is amazing how did I not like this at first, but my GOD if I can give M.I.A. one thing, its that it is not like anything I've ever heard before. 1/5
For 14 tracks Ramones bring an amazing rock punk album albeit some tracks end up blending together, my only real complaint
I think there’s definitely some interesting tracks here that are worth revisiting but as a whole, I wasn’t too interesting in this project
Run of the mill rock album nothing too special
This album and most of it's songs come rushing at you at 1000 kilometers a second, with each song dragging you through a different story at a different pace. One thing that has been overstated about this album but must be mentioned once again is the clear musical genius that Mercury was, and because of that, a lot of the songs of this album that were sung by or written by other members of the band lead to a slight drop in quality. The vocal performances, the amazing drums and guitar on most tracks and the energy that a lot of these tracks have is incredible and I haven't really experienced that on the albums I've listened to so far (maybe The Ramones' self titled match in terms of energy but in terms of incredible variety from track to track it's not even close). The only fault in this album really is the weak songwriting on a lot of tracks especially in the middle portion. Rating - 3.5/5
This is definitely an album I want to listen to more times, I feel like this will grow on me heaps.
I enjoyed this so much more than I thought. Second time a country album surprised me but I enjoyed the rock oriented songs much more than the country ones. Will definitely grow on me. 3.5/5
Whole time listening to this album I was saying this gives me huge Tribe vibes, forgot who Q-Tip was lol. The production on this album is pretty incredible and Q's flow is pretty strong on most songs. While this might not be the deepest or strongest hip hop album out there, it is a quick and easy listen and with some strong highs. 3.5/5
Not my style of music
I wasn't as completely engrossed in this album as much other people, and this may be because a lot of 90's pop culture references and references to living in America obviously do not click with me. Nevertheless there were some stand out tracks (Drive, Try Not To Breathe, Everybody Hurts). Rating: 3/5
It is so interesting when all of a sudden you are launched into music made in the 50's and 60's from more modern music and you hear how minimalistic a lot of the melodies are, in one way, it actually is a great thing as it provides a chance for great singers voices to shine. I love me a classic new orleans jazz album and there are some great points along this album and some very silly points at others; which makes sense given Louis' reputation as an entertainer. This album isn't going to blow your mind or change your music taste, but its just a fun little album worth a one time listen. 2.5
I owe my life to The Flaming Lips. See, a while back, I got in a horrible car crash, and I was in a 6-month coma as a result. While at the hospital, desperately holding on to the decaying potential that I’d ever wake up, the nurse put on "The Soft Bulletin". Realizing - even from a state of barely being conscious - what album this was, I awoke from my long coma, stood up, and walked to the radio to turn this garbage off.
Christmas songs for christmas!
just average nothing special things, but at the same time, nothing offensive, completely average
Better then I thought, I feel like this was a pretty good album although it needs some fat trimmed off it, Aguilera’s voice carries for sure
Honestly, if Mark put as much effort and energy as he did in “In ‘N’ Out Of Grace” then this would’ve been a great EP, instead , his grating vocals in most of the songs ruin the band’s great instrumental backing, and I know that Mudhoney was one of the first bands to really embrace and popularise grunge as a genre, but it’s like listening to Slick Rick in 2023, you acknowledge how great, influential and innovative it must’ve been for the time, but the people that have come after have mastered the sound so much better. 2.5/5
boring even for a instrumental
no
Great album, probably one of the better female pop records on this list, this album is psychedelic pop meets techno, and honestly as my first intro to Madonna's music I was very pleasantly surprised. Great production throughout the whole album, and although I might not revisit this album too many times (not a big fan of pop), I think it certainly earns its placement on this list. 3.5/5
Great album, I don't care what Fantano's bald headed ass says, Eddie is a great vocalist and he fucking kills it.
Wow this took long to finish. Some great tracks, I feel like I need to relisten to this album to fully grasp the intricacies of each song, especially with how good the production on nearly every song is, but I might not be able to revisit this album for a long time considering how long it is. 2.5/5
While Run DMC lay the foundations for hip-hop in this album, it slowly tapers off and becomes weaker near the end. This is not their fault considering how amazing the first four tracks are. This album is a great introductory to the beginnings of hip hop, the rhyme schemes, and how it evolved over time (into more socially conscious rap and gangsta rap too). 3.5/5
Ehhh not for me, I came into this project super excited to listen to FKA twigs and just was not impressed.
Such a catchy album, so groovy, the guitar work is amazing on most songs, and definitely gives a “white” reggae feel.
Not for me
wont ever catch me listening to UK rap, trussss me daddy
If anyone likes the song Stress and hip hop, give fire alarm by Uzi a go 2.5/5
Moby, you're too old, let go, it's over, nobody listens to techno.
Really really enjoyed this and cant wait to relisten 3.5
Okay album nothing crazy I haven’t seen so far
Not a big fan
Not as good as I hoped. I have put this album off for so long because it is a 2 hour album, and I finally have listened to it, and its so meh.
Not a single interesting song here
Just like most queen albums, the production is extravagant, loud and out of this world. The guitar and drums on every song slap and while this album might lack the MASSIVE hits of A Night At The Opera, Sheer Heart Attack at least to me is a more consistent effort. Speaking of which, the name of this album perfectly fits the first 10 tracks that come at you 100 miles an hour, each track really gives the feeling of having a heart attack, however where this album falls flat is the last two tracks (not the revision song which is great) . In my opinion, they don’t fit the vibe of the album and they feature some silly skit like adlibs or boring drowned vocals
Had to tap out 4 tracks in, the production is poor, the vocals are subpar, the lyrics aren’t interesting, felt like I was in a free range prison the way there were no bars.
I’ll fuckin’ tie you to a fuckin’ bedpost with your ass cheeks spread out and shit, right? Put a hanger on a fuckin’ stove and let that shit sit there for like a half hour, take it off and stick it in your ass slow like “tsss”
This is probably the best album I do not understand, the flow is sick, the production is amazing, if only I understood the lyrics I would rate it higher.
Is Bob Dylan a good songwriter? Yes. Can he paint a beautiful picture? Yes. Can he entertain me enough to listen to a full album of his without wanting to off myself?
It’s cool but nothing mind blowing. Average album that should only be enjoyed from start to finish, and not as independent singles
Meaningless background music that the radio plays on your way home at 9pm that makes you want to kill yourself
Another album that just isn’t special or memorable in anyway
Really powerful beautiful voice, lyrics, and dips into some amazing blues production. There are some great tracks here, it's just a shame that all this talent is used to make songs like coconut lol. 3/5.
If I never listened to this album and I died I’ll be fine
I think this is an okay album, it shines in its production and flows and bars but some songs go on way too long, long enough for me to realise the beat has stayed the exact same for the last four minutes
Amazing voice but boring project
I just can't do it anymore, I really can't.
cool i guess
It has some great production, the lyrics are pretty cool and the singing is pretty great, but it's not for me 2.5
My first beatles album! It was a really interesting listen and there were so many songs I really liked. It was interesting to see how versatile they were, and honestly I can 100% see the influence other bands got from them 3.5 maybe 4/5
If you like the beatles but shittier in every way this album is for you.
Boom Bap Rap is one of the most boring rap genres, despite what this duo has done outside of this project being great.
This is probably the best live album I've ever listened to, I feel like I could literally imagine myself right there in a bar with Cooke pelting out bangers.
Some great songs here, but not a consistent project throughout
To be honest with you, this album was so forgettable that literally a day after listening to it three times, I can’t list a single thing about it
2 hour live jazz, that is not even that good, why would anyone want to listen to that
Just don't like this band.
One of the greatest hip hop albums by one of the greatest duos (with in my opinion the greatest rapper of all time 3 stacks) with so many bangers. This album was so influential in the scene and with one of the hardest covers of all time. The only thing that slogs this album down is the amount of skits and some filler tracks.
It took me so many relistens and so many attempts to accurately rate this album, I just couldn't pick apart how much I liked it, so I'll go with a 3.5 and rate it a 4 lol.
I mean I definitely wasnt expecting that lol. I think it was okay just bc it was different to most albums on here. The first two songs are pretty cool
This album is very divisive for many reasons. Firstly, is this Eminem’s best? No. Is this a great album though? 100%. Does it deserve a spot on this list? 100%. HOWEVER, I understand why many people might not like it. The actual raw lyrics on this album are gross for sure and definitely are dated. However, if you focus on Em’s rhyming schemes, his production, his amazing lyricism, you will like this album much more. He hones this stuff on later albums and removes a lot of the shock core stuff prevalent on his super early albums. Always a fun listen.
I love the production on metal bands on so much, those heavy guitars, loud drums , it’s amazing but I just can’t stand the vocal performances on most of the songs. PS: Ice cube sounds great over some rock production lol
Apart from a few interesting songs, this project did not strike me as interesting at all.
boring
This might nearly take the cake for the worst album I’ve listened to on here
Vocals suck tbh with you, not a bad album, just boring
This is the music that comes on at 10pm when your driving home and your phones dead so you can't listen to your own music and your wondering if it's worth driving home in silence just so you don't have to listen to such trash.
Boring, so boring, not a bad album, but just bland
What? How is this album on this list?
Fun little album
Pretty good!
There are some really cool tracks on this, and to be honest everything is really catchy even if I liked it or not. The song downtown really reminds me of M.I.A's stuff just the 70's version lol. 2.5/5
This is such a hard album to review. It is super hard to get into and Bowie sounds off tempo at points, but the instrumentation and lyrics are amazing
Not a big fan didnt like most of the songs, they were pretty boring, wasn’t appealing
This was HORRENDOUS. I left this album a worse person then I was before it.
I like the instrumentation and some of the vocals, but honestly nothing special and nothing I haven't heard before.
Good album but not as good as the white album. 3.5/5
Certified hip hop classic. The production, the flow, the message, this album is a pivotal moment in not only rap but the societal message it stood for at the time. Only thing holding this back from a true 5/5 is the somewhat dated lyrics on some of these songs.
Probably the best singer song writer album i’ve heard so far and I hate the genre
Great fucking album, the guitar work is INSANE on every single song, the lyrics are so cool and never throughout the album does it get stale or boring or feel like any songs dragged on for too long.
Somebody said they sound like imagine dragons and I can't get that out of my head, so whoever you are, you ruined this album for me
A perfectly average album, does this deserve to be on the list? no. Is it a bad album though? No
Pretty cool and unique jazz album and I don't think I'll hear something like that for a while
Some cool little spots in this album, love the lyrical focus and the overall theme/message of the album, but seemed a little too monotone for my liking.
Hot ASS
Some certified hits but the album sounds like the same song over and over
simply okay
This album feels like every single song is its own little album or project, it’s not the best thing in the world but it has some cool ideas and tracks 2.5/5
I think it’s cool not mindblowing tho
Fun album with some groovy tracks
Sounds like an album made in the 70's. Pretty boring overall.
Some great production but the album was cluttered and messy
Really really unique voice, I wish this was on spotify because if I gave it more relistens I’m sure it would be a higher rating
Its cool but I probably will never relisten to this. The singing is really nice! 2.5/5
it’s an album
I think the production for this album is really wicked and really unique for its time period. However, I often dislike a lot of albums in which the lyrics are super philosophical and deep and I need to dive through genius lyrics to understand what the fuck they are talking about.
Could only listen to a few songs but there was a killer 10 minute track on there.
G-Funk is such a cool genre and honestly Dr. Dre has done in it a way that no one has been able to replicate at all. While a lot of these songs are playful or say some outlandish shit, it is a strong output and a strong career launcher for Mr. Dogg 3.5/5
One of my favourite albums of all time, slaps in legit every single way possible, so amazing
jazz albums do not need to be 1 hour plus
so painfully average it hurts
He has a unique sound and voice but this album wasn't very interesting to me
Man his voice is just so insane, this album is CRAZY, has so many bangers
The Specials - Not special at all
I think this is a slightly above average album, has some cool elements and vocal styles but some songs go for too long and the album is slightly repetitive
This is one of the few albums on this list that I had listened to previously to this. I came in from memory thinking this is a 5/5 album and by the end of my listen, I was pleasantly surprised to be proven correct. It is so insane how they managed to make the whole tracklist so catchy and so easy to listen to meanwhile starting a whole new genre and wave. Truly one of the best albums of all time.
I think this is a great album with lots of filler but lots of bangers. In terms of my enjoyment it's probably a 3 but in terms of the cultural impact and change to hip hop its a 4
This sounds like the flaming shit's horrible work and for that reason it will get the same score as them.
Like it's not bad, the production is okay, the singing is okay, but its so so boring I couldn't finish the album 1.5/5
I unfortunately just don't get the hype for this album, there are the two banger songs for sure but overall, it sort of gets repetitive for me and the songs are very dumbed down. The vocals are unique, maybe not the best I've heard but still not a bad point of the album. The guitar work obviously carries this album throughout every song. 2.5/5
Another day, another brit pop album, nearly at 150 albums and I don't think I've gotten a good one yet
Haha good joke 1001 albums, now where is my real album of the day?
Cool album, cool guitar, better played in the car then off your headphones
Fun album
This might NEARLY take the record of worst album on this list for me, but I have had some slightly worse ones then this. There is nothing worse then spoken word albums, NOTHING
Didn't expect to like it as much as I did, Wild world is an absolute BANGER, the middle of the album got very boring and same-same for me however
Its okay
Really good first half of the album, but disliked the second half.
The best rap album of all time. If you think this album is just about money and girls and usual rap stuff, you completely misunderstood both the lyrics and the background knowledge needed for it. Please do yourself a favour and listen to this album with genius lyrics so people with actual brain cells can help you understand what he is saying
a boring album about love
Unique voice but not interesting for me
Might have just set the record for quickest tap out for me, congrats!
I think this album was unique, and although I didn't like it, it gets a bonus point for being interesting and new
Man what a great album, amazing performance by Frank on basically every song, and to think he has an even better album then this. 4.5/5
Holy this was so boring, literally sounds like the early beatles but shitter
borrringggg
Pretty good actually, probably the first world album that I got that I liked, was really groovy and nice beats
Not for me!
uhhh what did I just listen to?
Did not enjoy this at all
Cool album, but I don't feel as it is anything too crazy special.
Music for people on acid
Really powerful voice with a powerful personality, the project speaks on deep issues but can get boring at times
Boring production holds back my enjoyment of this album
Pretty good album but when compared to other beatles projects, you can feel the immaturity and lack of depth on this one
Another Dylan snoozefest, but this one is slightly tolerable
This was interesting and not like anything I've ever heard before, good job!
it was cool
Such a grating voice this sucks ass
Horrible experience to listen to, BUT bonus point for being a creative idea
Not as good as Sticky Fingers, and that sort of ruined this album for me
I gave this close to 5 or 6 listens. I'm sorry oldheads, I just don't fully get it, is the album good? fuck yes. Is it one of the best albums I've listened to? ehh I don't think so. 3.5/5
Thanks for gangbanging my ears
background music
Really beautiful album to be honest with you, especially the latter half <3 3.5/5
Would I want to listen to this again? Probably not, but to be honest, it was actually super interesting of an album
Not a big fan of metal but I quite enjoyed this one!
I think it was interesting, but I don't think I'll listen to it again 2.5
Good album, but I think dookie is slightly better
bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad
Uninteresting, boring topics, seems like he grabbed a random bunch of songs and put them all on an album
There’s just something about this style of vocalist that I dislike heavily.
While I enjoyed the change of pace from their other album that popped up before: Automatic for the people, I unfortunately did not find this album to be in anyway engaging.
if you cut this album down to 10-12 tracks, it is a really solid album, instead it is bloated and ruins the quality of some great tracks
Not too interesting in my opinion, I loved the production end of things but I felt like the lyrical content didnt appeal to me For someone who has only listened to one previous project of Bowie's, some parts of the projects it was difficult to understand him and I did need to google lyrics. 2/5
SIX PACK!
wtf is this
same old same old
Starts off really good but loses steam half way through
man what is this
In the past when I have said this is the worst album I have listened to, it is usually because it is dull, uninteresting, boring or downright derivative. This album however, is none of that. What it is however, is a collection of the worst possible songs humankind could create. Think about your favourite music, your favourite genres, your favourite styles, this album is the complete opposite of all that. The genre of this music should be called torture chamber and the artists that made it should be subjected to it forever. I don’t ever think I will hear an album this bad again in my lifetime.
It was okay
indie folk is possibly one of the worst genres of music out there, but this album is pretty good for those standards 2.5/5
Somehow, someone found and put on this list a bob dylan album thats even worse then bob dylan!
Really good forward, progressive album, I think it is just the right mix of experimental and pop, and combined with her vocals it creates a pretty good album
I had an aneurism half way listening to this album doing some hectic minecraft parkour
New wave, new ass album
The most important thing to me in rock/metal albums is the chemistry between the guitars, drums and vocals. I feel like there was only one song on this album where I can say that was present 1.5/5
It was cool just not for me
old school hip hop always seems a little outdated to me, the production was cool but in terms of an album , it wasn't anything I have never heard before
Noise rock, the only genre I hate more then indie folk
Pretty good album, but a product of it's time
HOLY SHIT THIS SUCKS
Imagine being Bob Dylan’s harmonica getting abused more then my favourite kbbq spot
This is horrendous and whoever made this deserves insane torture time
Great album, was very impressed on nearly all the songs, enjoyable and concise, very little filler.

no
Uninteresting, but with good vocal performances
So monotone and boring
There’s a reason why even the band dislikes this album, this is such a step down from their other albums and I can’t believe the same band made this album
While the production is still fun to listen to, the rapping seems a little outdated (despite Lupe hitting some catchy flows here and there) 2.5/5
Boring
Ambient
Honestly not as good as I expected, started off strong but became more boring as the album went on, good songs all around but no songs that are absolutely amazing 2.5/5
eh 1.5/5
I don’t think this album quite shows the amazing vocalist that he can be (except in few rare moments), leading to an overall quite boring album. There are however some great themes and messages passed upon in some of the songs
It was alright
I think it was definitely decent, I like her voice and I think she has a unique way of attacking albums, not my favourite project in the world but excited to hear more from her!
This was so much better then their self titled, I enjoyed this album a lot even though it faltered off near the end
2 hours of country... this album might just be the first horsemen of the apocalypse
Honestly really really good, could even be a 5 with more listens and I enjoyed it slightly more then DSOTM 4.5/5
So boring + not on spotify
I think there were some interesting ideas on this album that if fleshed out could make a really good album but otherwise were sparse. Also, I understand that this was the 70's but some of the tracks here have some of the worst mixing I have ever heard. 1.5/5
While this album starts off well, it falls apart slowly but steadily as the album goes on. Overall it was still a good album, but not as good as II
I am at the point now where I can recognise new wave albums by the fact they are shitting in my ear, HOWEVER, this album just took a little piss instead, thank you 1001 albums list, keep it up!
I think this album was better later rather then earlier which I find is quite rare for an album. I think this is a decent album but they have dropped much better.
Although I don’t like country elements, Lynyrd Skynyrd puts up an interesting album that doesn’t leave me clawing my ears out
Bland and uninteresting
Pretty good background music if I'm working but nothing more then that
I am yet to find a good new wave album, I just can't listen to anymore, please strike me down God before this list gives me another new wave album
Honestly really good with some hip hop classics here, I always forget how good takeover is because ether was just perfect but an amazing top tier diss track right there
not enough devil worshipping
A pretty good album but for me personally lacks massive highlights
When I have to turn up and turn down the volume between songs, you know you mixed your album like shit 1.5/5
