I liked the occasional part of a song, namely Save Me, but the rest was just interesting enough to keep me listening...however did not enjoy it.

I didn't like this album at all. I'm not really a fan of the 70s-far-away-from-the-microphone singing style anyway. The only song(s) I thought were passable were the ones where Stevie was singing.
Liked the sound of this album. Singing style reminds me of Duran Duran. MEAT IS MURDER song is so judgey and a bit spooky. I was in PE alone when the song came on and the cow moo's made me stop and take out my headphones to make sure it was the song and not real-life.
Hard to go wrong with this album, fun to listen to.
So many covers.
Didn't want to like this as much as I did (which still wasn't much). I was surprised by some nice, smooth bass runs (If I can Just Get Through). Saxophone saved some songs (eg. Born to Be with You). Ended up adding More to You to my music because of how airy-jazzy-funky it was.
Never heard of them before today, but definitely fits into my music preference wheelhouse.
I was surprised at how much I was OK with this album. I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to get through the full offering but found myself inadvertently head banging while listening through.
Each song felt 10 minutes long. I would listen to 20 slipknots over this.
Couldn't get into this one
My god the falsetto in the opening track. Didn't know a punk band could do that. I don't like it. Other than that, thought it was a nice, dirty, punk offering. Could have done without the spacy interlude of Starship.
I grew tired of Courtney Love's singing tone, especially on the softer songs. Why is every song so long? I imagine I'll come back to this album in small doses.
Generally not a fan of the groove-type songs and the trill-y type singing which Nina does A LOT of. And even though I found many of the songs to be quite sad, I enjoyed the jazzier ones regardless.
This album was OK. I thought the songs with the "skits" would have been better without the "skits." Also, the jibberish Spanish was weird.
Would love this album if it wasn't for all of the solos.
I like the style, but not to sound like a prude, got tired of the constant profanity. I can see myself coming back to this album occasionally.
Genuinely enjoyed this album.
Not really my preferred style of music but interesting to listen to it through the lense of "this was revolutionary back in the day"
Actually kind of enjoyed this album. But not THAT much.
Finally, some good freaking music. But only giving it a 4 as it's not my total jam genre.
Not bad, kinda weird.
This is nice put-your-head-down-and-write-this-report music. 2
First half of the album I genuinely rocked out. Second half I felt a bit schizophrenic, but I didn't hate it.
Better than expected. Felt more genuine.
Almost didn't make it past the beginning of of this album because of how spooky it was. Not really my jam.
Genuinely enjoyed this album and YES it was the clean version. I'll definitely come back to this one.
I really like the style and execution, however, the violence and in-your-face sex knocks this down for me.
Love the passion for his meatballs.
Was fairly ambivalent about The Who when I started this album. I almost turned off the album during Cousin Kevin. Then I DID turn off the album at Fiddle About. Music is trash, lyrics are worse.
Nice easy listen, also witchy woman
Meh, OK. I don't 'get' Bruce Springsteen. Did someone check on Bruce during Something In The Night? I think he stubbed his toe.
So good. Love it. 5
This is what I wanted the Beatles to be.
Music is pretty good, when they decide to play it, and that's the only reason it got a 2. Don't like the singing style... At all.
Another surprising winner.
All of the tracks were so mellow, I can appreciate the vibe, but generally didn't enjoy engaged listening.
In general, did not like Lou Reed's talk-singing style however not giving this album a 1 star because I enjoyed the music.
Would have been a 4 if it weren't for the high repetition of lyrics
I want to like Lana Del Rey more than I actually do. She's spooky, moody, sexy...I'm just not the biggest fan of her music.
I liked the occasional part of a song, namely Save Me, but the rest was just interesting enough to keep me listening...however did not enjoy it.
Weird album. Love a good rock flute though.
I feel like I have already heard this album just by looking at the album cover.
Talk singing, no thank you.
A lot of the songs sounded the same. It also sounded so frantic.
The last song on the album was like nails on a chalkboard for me but everything else was as great.
I really like the sound of the music in this however the sometimes aimless vocals are irritating.
What is it with the skits?
Barely a 3
This is such a weird album. I think for casual listening, I don't like it, rating around a 2. But the type of weirdness and occasional non-weirdness boosts it slightly. Waking the Witch was tripping me out.
Omg, guys, Caroline just got a haircut. Stop being so dramatic.
This music makes me sad, and not in a good way. HOWEVER, for some reason, Alabama was hitting just right. I blame the bass line.
What a weird album.
Was amazed to learn that Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise was a rework of Pastime Paradise.
Silly feeling album with the best love song to Stevie Wonder I've ever heard.
I don't mind the general style but this execution was bit too playful with the runs.
Weird album with some good jams. The lyrics and lead singing are a but unhinged and some songs are giving I Think You Should Leave vibes, mostly The Lyre of Orpheus.
Listen, I'm sure he's revolutionary in the 'sampling' world, but there is definitely a standing-on-the-shoulders-of-giants situation going on here. Hearing the newer, and in my opinion, better, 'electronic rock' with sampling kind of spoils Czukay's efforts.
I had a special hatred for Dixie Drug Store because 1) it sounded too much like sweet home alabama and 2) talk singing.
Occasionally getting They Might Be Giants vibes.
Not was expecting this with a cover like that
This album sounded like it hadn't showered in 3 weeks.
The album that makes me start looking at karaoke machines again.
The booing at the guards got me
They said "Amanda" in The Endless Plain of Fortune :D
Took a weird jazzy turn at the end. I'm OK with it.
