Are You Experienced
Jimi Hendrixjimi is cool and talented but these songs don't do anything for me. the hits are the hits but I don't think anything of the album tracks

it is an elvis presley album. he is talented but i don't really care for it
this is a cool beck album. not as weird as i wanted it to be but i think it's quite nice anyways
just one of those endlessly relistenable albums. i think i would eventually upgrade this to a perfect score but right now it's just one of those albums that's packed full of great tunes
goated stuff
this is a goated one from me from my teenage years. i think it's closer to a 9 than a 10 if i'm speaking objectively but i love this album full heartedly so
it's alright. i think there are interesting parts on it but i wouldn't really think of this as mindblowing or standout music from the early rock period
i'm sure it's good if you're more familiar with brazilian/tropicalia music but without a reference point, it's kinda just okay
these songs don't really take me places, but goddamn those basslines
it's mid
something haunting and quite beautiful about it
obv the weakest smiths album but that's still pretty good
definitely in the relisten pile. it doesn't obviously grab me from the start but i think that it's one of those albums that will grow on you. very spacey and cool
thank you phil spector for the christmas gift. no thank you to murdering that person
sounds insanely cool
i tend to be put off by the doors but this album was alright
i dont think i connect to this album at all, not my sort of music, but you really can't deny how great it is. absolutely flawless
is it greedy to want more funk from the "we want the funk" album?
i have a hard time getting into the beatles but this album has the best songs of all the ones i have heard
this has the early feel of an album that sticks in your head and eventually you come round to realize its brilliance
pretty straightforward punk, no complaints here
i don’t think i was ever going to give this a truly fair listen as a phoebe bridgers fan, but i was willing to at least give him a chance and holy shit this was the most annoying album i’ve listened to. it’s an old joke but it really does sound like starbuckscore. i think that all the criticism directed towards male singer songwriter for being vain crybabies can be forwarded to ryan adams.
it's nice with it, what more can you say
songs so good that you forget bono is a twat
i didnt know these songs were covers because i've never heard the originals but they're definitely willie's songs to me now
presumably before they released the album, they sat down and heard that it was maps (truly amazing song, one of the best in the genre) and then 10 of the most garbage my-first-punk-song ass tracks of all time and said "yeah, let's drop this one"
this sounded like the in-between of dino jr and emo which i both enjoy but it never really grabbed me like those two do
i mean cmon
was always west coast but i'm mature now and have put long dead (no pun intented) rap beefs behind me. i still don't care for this album. yes, biggie is talented and it carries such an aura that you have to respect, but there's so much fat to be cut (pun intended) and i have a hard time finding standout songs that aren't the hits. the skits sucked too
i'm usually a slut for 80s pop but this is unfortunately just pretty mid to me. not annoying, not bad, but not great. solidly mid
plenty of good songs but no great ones
its dumb fun, what more do you need
i just cant get into abba but this album made me smile because it made me think of alan partridge
kinda beatles-y, i dig it
b tier thrash. good headbanging stuff but not transcendental
a perfect album minus a few songs
i really want to give the dead a chance and see why everyone likes them but holy shit this album goes nowhere but goes on forever
yup its a ramones album 👍
i liked crazy ska madness a bit more. whats up with the racist stuff?
mid
the most normal talking heads album, which is to say that it is not their best and not their most interesting, but still is tasty and has a banger or two
merely alright
i don't know if this is one of the 1001 albums i need to listen to before i die but it's pretty fun, i'll give it that
fun stuff
a little bob dylan, a little bruce springsteen, honestly not good enough to be either, but hard to fuck up when you’re primarily drawing from two influences like that
reading all the reviews and they remind me of youtube comments a 13 year old who's really into nirvana might leave, but some of them are written by people in their 30s. the album is good
pretty funky and vibey, have to like that
minor threat rocks
i don't think i could ever fully get into this from a vibes perspective but you have to appreciate how talented of a musician he is
nice and funky, gotta love it
why is the minecraft villager noise on the first couple songs
i dunno. this is exactly what i expected fats domino to sound like. what do you want from me
first listen it sounded like a bunch of bridge songs. like songs bridging to a different one, never quite reaching the emotional high promised. second listen i kinda got it more
cool electronica sounds
you gotta love blowing in the wind but i don't know about a whole album full of songs like that
look i think the music is nice and sweet but i just can't get into it
lou really needs j mascis unfortunately
i think i burned myself out on all the bad psychadelic rock in this book/series that i was elated at first listen because this album doesn't suck, but on second listen i came back down to earth
black sabbath rocks
morrissey they could never make me hate you
just too long man
my mood swings on this album a lot
he cooks what can you say
if i had to have an electric dylan opinion, it's that i prefer when he's actually going somewhere with the music (blood on the tracks ex) instead of just playing folk but electric. cool songs though
really hated the guy's voice. otherwise great album
it's pretty cool. not much else to say
one of those albums where i'm not sure if it's good because it influenced everything that came after it or if it's bad because all the stuff it influenced was so much better. also dude was a pedophile
didnt vibe with the first few songs but the last few i could probably get back into
i've listened to it three times and it hasn't moved me yet sadly
