Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis

Very good, "it's a classic"

All Ratings (408)

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Jan 08 2025

Best White Stripes Album I have heard so far. I can get behind this album.

Play by Moby
Jan 10 2025

Ah yes Moby, I listened to it and I am a little mad. Box checked...

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Jan 13 2025

Never been a big fan of The White Stripes, but I could listen to this album again.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jan 14 2025

Did I just get yelled at for 2 hours? As someone who grew up in the 90's I recognize at least 4 of the 28 songs! I would probably need to give the album more time to fully appreciate it, but due to the "mellon collie and infinite sadness" of adult life, I cannot. Keep those 4 songs coming though, wicked cool!

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Jan 15 2025

Lyrics could use some punctuation. Without closed caption I'm not sure I could understand what it was all about. Not offensive and could listen to again.

Elephant Mountain by The Youngbloods
Jan 17 2025

There were a few good tracks. Not going out of my way for it though.

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Jan 20 2025

Here I was all this time just thinking the only thing Ozzie Osborne could do is shuffle his feet and yell at "Sharon" and yorkie's! Apparently, quite talented once upon a time. I listened to it twice and I'd listen to it again!

Ramones by Ramones
Jan 21 2025

Fun to listen to a band that clearly influenced several of my more modern... but still somehow classic bands. I will take a listen to other albums from them.

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Jan 22 2025

I know, Elvis transformed the music of the time and is "the King". Alas, I didn't live through it and will never truly understand it his popularity or the ensuing craze of the time. Thanks for starting something that others could build on! Not really interested in spending more time with this album.

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Jan 23 2025

I am on the fence about this album. The fusion of country, punk, folk, pop and dub step is interesting to be sure. UK produces many of the best musicians in the world and this does not reach those highs. Still a fun listen though.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Jan 24 2025

Wow, harmonica in lots of places and yet not upsetting. Smash the like button and subscribe! I'll listen to it again and explore some more!

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Jan 27 2025

One of my favorite albums of all time. I listen to it all the time.

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Jan 29 2025

Way before my time and I guess I have to thank Hollywood, because listening to this makes me think of people dancing and having a good time.

Jan 30 2025

Very fun to listen to! It might have been just the distraction I needed today or maybe I will pursue their future albums. Either way a worth while album on the list!

The embodiment of the famous phrase: "you have two choices "take it" or "leave it"". I'd be satisfied with either.

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Feb 03 2025

Really enjoyed this album and will be looking into more of Elvis Costello's work! Keep the good tunes coming.

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Feb 04 2025

Having never listened to the Blues in my life. I like this. For me I guess this has come with age. Fun to listen to the way people used to speak to their live audiences!

Smash by The Offspring
Feb 05 2025

There are some good songs here! Punk always reminds me of the past as does this album. I grew up and moved on, but good to know it is still around.

New Forms by Roni Size
Feb 06 2025

This album makes feel ways about things. Rage and confusion come to mind, "Am I supposed to have glow sticks and am I supposed to listen to this stark raging sober?!?" I don't get it.

The Predator by Ice Cube
Feb 07 2025

February 6, 2025, needed to hear some rage and anger. Album hit the spot.

Ten by Pearl Jam
Feb 10 2025

I will listen to more of their music.

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Feb 11 2025

Talented Song writer a good listen!

Abraxas by Santana
Feb 12 2025

Easy to listen to with some great tracks. Will continue to listen to Santana from time to time.

The Idiot by Iggy Pop
Feb 13 2025

Not my favorite, tried listening to some of the other Number 1's from this artist as well. Not for me.

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Feb 14 2025

Listened to this album and several of their other hits as defined by Tidal and just not feeling what they are doing. All in all it was more shouty that I wanted it to be.

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Feb 17 2025

This ended up being a really fun album to listen to. Not quite sure how many bands have made cover of these songs, but several for sure as I did not know they were covers at the time.

C'est Chic by CHIC
Feb 18 2025

Not my favorite genre of music, but there was some fun to be had there.

Queen II by Queen
Feb 19 2025

Great album good to hear some of the earlier tracks that do not seem to surface as much as some of the hits they have later on.

Ghosteen by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Feb 21 2025

A man dealing with his mortality? Not my favorite album for them.

Stankonia by OutKast
Feb 26 2025

This was always a fun and funny album. Good Listen!

Different Class by Pulp
Feb 27 2025

Really enjoyed this album, very different from others I have listened to before. Cool Britannia! Keep'em coming!

The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
Feb 28 2025

Love it! I can see Nancy Regan saying "Won't you please think of the children!" Its come a long way from here!

British Steel by Judas Priest
Mar 03 2025

Get me one of those Judas Priest shirts everyone on the planet already has!

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Mar 05 2025

This is for someone... drummers maybe... not for me.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Mar 06 2025

It was a fun album to listen to mostly because of the look back to 1956, but I will not be seeking it out again.

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Mar 10 2025

Very good, "it's a classic"

1984 by Van Halen
Mar 11 2025

Very familiar with many of these songs and just had no idea it was Van Halen... don't they sell a lot of tee shirts too!

Le Tigre by Le Tigre
Mar 12 2025

It was kind of fun.

Vespertine by Björk
Mar 13 2025

Nope, this was exceptionally difficult to get through. Lots of distractions. Not for me.

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Mar 14 2025

Reminds me of high school, TRL on MTV, crazy how it all started and where she is at now. Hindsight on this album has provided a new better perspective.

Doolittle by Pixies
Mar 17 2025

Something didn't hit right for this album its almost as if the the mids were mixed a little too peaky for me and I had a hard time listening to it.

Mar 19 2025

This seems at least somewhat influenced by Nick Cave, not bad. Probably will not seek out.

Mar 21 2025

I enjoyed this album it was fun to listen to. Too bad it seems it was the last. I am sure I will run across them in my music's algorithm.

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Mar 24 2025

Good album, does better at higher volumes!

Night Life by Ray Price
Mar 27 2025

I got through it. Just not a fan of this type of music.

Tanto Tempo by Bebel Gilberto
Mar 28 2025

Wish I understood the language. That said I listened to the whole album and enjoyed it all the same.

Mar 31 2025

I will probably always like Muse. Once the album was over I just kept on listening to their songs.

On The Beach by Neil Young
Apr 01 2025

I enjoyed the album. Is this the Neil Young from "Sweet Home Alabama"?

Station To Station by David Bowie
Apr 02 2025

It was a good album I was a little preoccupied while I was listening to it, but still enjoyed it.

Happy Sad by Tim Buckley
Apr 03 2025

I imagine people in white robs listening to the leader. Seemingly random band instruments in play to give everyone an opportunity to participate. Let's add some wind chimes. I will not drink this cool aide. I need to leave the commune... save me...

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Apr 07 2025

This album slaps! Also, I heard they have better ones!

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Apr 08 2025

I mean this album has several songs that are played in every period piece movie, Somebody to Love and White Rabbit. I like stereo over mono for these songs as well. Therefore this album forever represents late 60's /70's United States. Overall good album, but those two songs make the album.

Beyond Skin by Nitin Sawhney
Apr 11 2025

Interesting. Not my standard fair, but I didn't hate it.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Apr 14 2025

Yeah, a pretty interesting listen if I have to be honest. Not my favorite, but I don't hate it.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Apr 15 2025

This album didn't hit for me. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Apr 16 2025

I enjoyed this album. Definitely some classic songs on this one.

Cut by The Slits
Apr 17 2025

I am immature, so the album cover is 5 stars. Alas I could not get into their music.

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Apr 18 2025

This was great! Never would have listened to it. Thanks 1001!

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Apr 21 2025

Great album, apparently their first of this type, keep em coming. T Rex, nice!

Rio by Duran Duran
Apr 22 2025

Truly timeless. Good times.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Apr 24 2025

"No stairway, Denied!"

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Apr 25 2025

Solid.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Apr 29 2025

I am not sure if I can't hear anymore or if they are actually speaking a language I should be able to understand. Doesn't help that Tidal doesn't support track lyrics on this one. This self doubt alone warrants three stars.

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Apr 30 2025

Great Album!

Bug by Dinosaur Jr.
May 02 2025

Not a particularly memorable album for me.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival

May 08 2025

Enjoyed this album.

Tical by Method Man
May 09 2025

Not for me.

May 12 2025

May 13 2025

As expected this was a great album. Ends with Time of the Season, just great!

Drunk by Thundercat
May 15 2025

Awful.

The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
May 16 2025

Interesting, reminds me of a bit like video game music.

Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
May 28 2025

More than just noise, but there isn't enough there for me to be interested in it any further.

May 30 2025

This album was a lot of fun to listen to. I have no interest in listening to more. Once was pretty good.

Aug 07 2025

The songs that likely charted are still fun to listen to.

Casanova by The Divine Comedy
Aug 22 2025

These guys would absolutely crush it on a cruise ship!

Heroes by David Bowie
Sep 09 2025
Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt
Sep 12 2025
