R.E.M.One of my favourite albums of all time, so it's fun to get to listen to it to start. I think I'm finally ready to admit that I don't like the song 'Stand'.

I have never listened to Leonard Cohen before in any deliberate way, so listening to this was a trip. It is so eighties! I do not enjoy the music style at all, even with his rich, emotional voice. I enjoyed "I'm Your Man", as the lyrics are more aligned with what I know about Leonard Cohen.
I can appreciate the artistry on show here, but I did not particularly enjoy the listening experience. That said, I'm glad to have finally listened to a Queen album as I don't recall ever having done so.
Thoroughly enjoyable, though I find Dylan mostly a 'background vibes' kind of music. Tangled Up in Blue was the first song by him that I really enjoyed as a teenager, and I still love it.
Alright, I did a grimace when I saw this come up as I have no urge to listen to Iron Maiden. I'm currently halfway through and it's not as bad as I was expecting, but it is kind of funny to me that this is considered dark and masculine when it mostly comes across as extremely camp.
Pre-listening: exciting, a band from my teen era! I have only ever listened to Get Behind Me Satan in full. During listening: absolutely delightful to revisit this sound. It brings me back. I love the grimy, grinding sound of early 2000s indie rock, and The White Stripes encapsulate a lot of that. Love them. Listened to it twice today.
Another album I've never listened to, from an artist I only vaguely know. This should be interesting! I was listening in the background, but Adam Raised a Cain caught my attention. Absolutely love that one. Also really like The Promised Land. ...Do I really like Bruce Springsteen? Listening to this album was a wild ride.
This rating indicates my enjoyment, not her talent. I was not super enthused when it popped up, but this seems like a great time to revisit someone lots of people love! Despite listening with as open ears as I could manage, her voice remains not for me. I recognise her talent, but I had to force myself to finish the album.
Though I like his voice, I haven't really listened to Rod Stewart. I don't think I'll go out of my way to do so in the future either. I enjoyed this album, but nothing stood out to me.
Surprisingly good! I know Black Hole Sun, of course, but had not in my memory heard any others. The music is textural and interesting, and the vocalist is very talented. I'll listen again. Nothing stood out, but I enjoyed it.
If you told me this album was released yesterday, I would believe you without question.
How did I not know that Bjork was in a band? Absolutely brilliant album.
Maybe it's the times we're in but I did not enjoy such an aggressively American album.
It was fine. I am once again not in the mood for this style, I think. I read up on Nick Cave afterwards, and have thus concluded he's a dick. That doesn't influence my enjoyment of the music, but since there was none, it does not encourage me to seek out more.
Great! I said on the last album that I would not be seeking out more Nick Cave, and the next on the list is... Nick Cave. Sigh. I'll listen, but I do not have high hopes. I do know that this album is very personal and emotional to him, so I'm trying to reserve judgment. Upon listening to it... he has some good lyrics, but I don't enjoy his voice. Good album, but not for me.
I had never heard of this one, but I enjoyed it a lot. Adding it to my regular rotation.
Loved it.
Oh, this music is soft as silk.
