Amazing, Classic Bowie. It’s like an up tempo Blackstar

“I heard the The Smiths before you”

Some great, but mostly meh

Somewhere between The Cure and Pixies and my experience of this album is entirely coloured by hearing the others before this.

This had so much promise until the 2nd half Monty Python’athon

After 5 minutes his voice is so grating

There’s a truly brilliant album here somewhere but the entire project feels bloated

Certainly one to revisit but impressed with what I heard

Should really be 4.5* if some of the highs were higher it would be 5*

One of the most important albums of all time. This album is so good that Kendrick is still doing victory laps over ten years later!

Difficult to rate honestly, I enjoyed it but it will need time to grow on me after one listen

Gimme shelter and Monkey man are incredible but the deep cuts on this are so disappointing. Also as a side note adding a children’s choir to a rock song will always make it infinitely worse, I’m looking at you You can’t always get what you want. See also: War is over and Schools out.

It may well have been seminal but it’s still a drum machine loop for over 1 1/2 hours. Drum n Bass is not bad but it’s clearly not best enjoyed in album format.

I for one would’ve preferred Something Else by The Kinks

Finally something interesting to listen to! Worthy of the list, but not a masterpiece.
