Just don't dig electronica of any genre
Not the right vibes for my Sunday brunch. Even my skiddy metalhead husband didn’t want to listen to this one. Trusting his finely tuned metal ear, we turned it off before the bacon began to sizzle. Brunch was hot and fresh, this album was not.
oh my god i can't even listen to this i hate it so much
I can understand their inclusion on the list given their role in evolving industrial music. But this just does not sound good. It is not something I can enjoy, or frankly respect.

Metal made by an artificial intelligence for big nerds This album, while not being that great to begin with, seems to nosedive after Jesus Built My Hotrod. Scare Crow is tortuously plodding and repetitive. Whatever elements I enjoy about this album and band aren't really able to hold up the weaknesses the full product has. The production and guitar tones are good, but these songs rarely go anywhere. Some of the stronger songs are catchy and short enough to justify that they don't go anywhere, but man some of the longer songs needed some editing. For example, Psalm 69 (a fantastic title, although the titling is arguably the strongest trait of this album) starts very fucking slow and overdramatic as a way to build tension for when the song kicks in which actually fucking slaps, and then they give like a minute and a half of that and go back to the plodding overdramatic "Praise Jesus" bit, rinse repeat for a verse too long lol It's safe to say this isn't my cup of tea, and it's unfortunate in ways because I actually like industrial, or at least industrial-esque shit like Death Grips. This isn't really doing anything for me, and the entire time I was ready for it to be over with. Can't imagine poor Michael listening to this album, and putting on a brave face to get through it. Lmaao

Even if what you are really singing is, "In my dang a ding a ding a ding dong A sticky sticky son of a gun Ding a danga danga dong dong ding dong Why why never know Why why wack a dong a dang ding dong Then you take it on the bill Ding dang dong don't dong Whoa! I want to love ya!" (Jesus built my hotrod) I think I'd prefer it in a Country and Western style, and I generally hate Country and Western

umm this was painful. the song names, the noises, the “singing”. all of it. it was horrifying.
Come on. No. Very literally my dog started to bark *upstairs* when this started. I feel you, Sadie. This sounds like someone violently vomiting up steel-spiked cheerios in the midst of 100,000 Orcs on coffee destroying Fangorn forest while they're frantically building a freeway. I'm tired and this is awful and it's making me angry - first album out of ~200 that I couldn't even finish. 1/10 1 star.

Just not my thing. To me, it sounds loud for the sake of being loud. Just a cacophony of meaningless noise that is aggressively boring.
I don't have the edgy dude-bro inside me necessary to enjoy this. Sounds hateful and not in an artistic enough way for me.

Listen to the monologue at the beginning of "Jesus Built My Hotrod". They chose not to use a pop filter on the microphone when they recorded it. That had to be deliberate; nobody in the audio industry would make that mistake. That means that this album was intentionally created to be difficult to listen to. Good job guys, you pulled it off.
was excited because i hadnt had a metal album yet, but this was rlly boring and the songs dragged on. couldnt finish it.

Here’s what I know about Ministry: Chester Bennington of Linkin Park honed his vocal stylings as a teen by singing along to Ministry until he sounded like them. And that piece of possible-knowledge is more interesting than actually listening to Ministry.

Was not a fan. I liked the guitar and the drums, but I could not get over the water vocal effect.

Repetition CAN be artistic. In this case, it's not. The only good thing about this album is that the Butthole Surfers guy showed up and sort of half rescued one of the songs. Best track: Jesus Built My Hotrod
