1/5
This big muff thing feels like blatant false advertising. I really wanted this to be a Dyke band and it is not.

The Associates
2/5
Early 80s music is fine I say.

Beatles
3/5
some bangers' and nostalgic bits but i cant see myself ranking this above a 3.
Todd Rundgren
1/5
Starts out fine enough two stars but hits 1 around "I WENT TO THE MIRROR" where it's just random keyboard clumps and muttering. I quit there with over half the album to go.
The Boo Radleys

Very weird music.
Madonna
3/5
Some good songs. I have a beef that her voice sounds like a little girl's sometimes, but I can live with it.
Moby
3/5

Slint

3/5
I think i won't hate this so much.
It's alright. not my favorite of his. 3 stars maybe.
The Thrills
4/5
I'm happy to hear a female lead singer here for a min.
Nice mix of bluegrass/banjo and girlpop. Easy 4.
By the end got a little samey, so I think 4 feels right. Also I realize it's just a high pitched dude, not a lady, so shame on me.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
4/5
Jazzy 4 at least. a very listenable bop.
M.I.A.
4/5

4/5
Wow, overplayed but classic. I'm guessing a 4.
Neil Young
2/5
Not bad, but I don't love the tambre of his voice. 3 ish.

The Triffids
3/5
so 80's. 3?
The Electric Prunes
2/5
a flat two stars. almost a 1, but a 2. I found nothing redeeming about this album except relief that there wasn't a godawful tribute bit at the end with raw demos of the songs.
Adam & The Ants
3/5
3. Another new wave, um, experience.
Like pirate rock. I think three stars is right, but I'm glad I heard em.

1/5
paint it black gets a 3. the rest. meh.
Nope this is one star. its catchy but I think I'd rather go to the dentist than listen to this music. I'd rather do mandatory HR Training than listen to this music. If I never hear another Rolling Stones album I will be fine.
Venom
1/5

The Yardbirds
2/5
basic 60s stuff. Fine, but not re-listenable. 2 or 3.

Marty Robbins
2/5
Did you ever hear the Gilligan's island theme song and say "Wow, this is a great song but if only this was 2 hours long and about Texas instead!?!"
If so, this is the album for you, and it can be all yours for the low, low price of all of your self-respect.
George Harrison
3/5
A melodic sound jam that made me miss the Girlyman cover I loved of the Hare Krishna song. 3 stars. I like it way more than most Beatles albums I've listened to.
I am tempted to dock a star bc of how freakin' long the album is, but maybe it'll wash over me like summer rain.
Siouxsie And The Banshees
3/5
I hear they're popular.
I think a 3 for me. Not a bad album but olivia rodrigo came on after, and it was so much more my thing, though I'm sure she owes such a debt to Souxie.
The Dandy Warhols
1/5
I guess 1 star? I got bored of this and clicked away quickly, but I put on some modern stuff of theirs and like it better, so I might let it ride some.

James Brown
2/5
Meh. 2. Its a fast listen but still a bit of a slog. I wish I could relate to those folks swooning and fainting when he sung, b.c. I just felt neutral. He walked so Beyonce and Mnek could run though.
Crosby, Stills & Nash
2/5

Van Morrison
4/5
I like van! not at all as toolish as i thought. 4
Can
1/5
The album art is dumb, like a can of spaghetti-os.
This got increasingly unnerving to the point where it became a 1 star. Sorry, but eerie wailing during my music at work is not what I'm looking for on a Monday morning.
I turned it off 15 minutes into track 5. I'm good never hearing this one before I die.
Portishead
5/5
I liked this one a lot! I might have to rate it a 5 just bc anything i listen to twice in one day gets a bonus star.
Ramblin' Jack Elliott
2/5
2 star. Listened to the end, but reminded me of a straighter, slower version of orville peck.
Fatboy Slim
4/5

The Divine Comedy
5/5
This is a good album. I don't like all their stuff, but I surprisingly have to give this one a 5. Kinda like a happier magnetic fields, or a piano-forward jam band.
Elton John
3/5
catchy pop but not songs that particularly spoke to me or even really were earworms. i had to put on antony and the johnsons (or just ANOHNI) for what a good catchy piaano ballad was for me.

Ali Farka Touré
5/5
I guess this is a 5. Catchy enough for a re-listen, and transportive to me outside of boring old hometown.
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
3/5
A decent album, 3 stars. The piano is fun and I wish i knew what that ode-to-joy soundalike is about. I listened to the music that came from the album for a good half hour afterwards.

2/5
too much xtina. I had to turn it off midway disk 2.
Elastica

Neneh Cherry
3/5
Classic hiphop album clearly. Let's see how it goes.

Hardcore stoner rock from the early 90s. Reminds me of air supply or whatever that other one is (they might be giants? Pink Martini? that other band? idk)
OH! no it reminds me of a more annoying (by comparison) `YOSHIMI BATTLES THE PINK ROBOTS` from flaming lips.
Frankie Goes To Hollywood
