1001 Albums Summary

Very of it's time. Was half dreading it as the only previous time ive heard them was 'dylan and the dead' which is shite. Bit bland, but ripple is fantastic. Overall, i enjoyed it but wouldn't rush to fire on again. 6.7/10

was enjoying it (and love the title track) but it just seems to get samey as fuck and a overall seems self indulgent. Franz ferdinand owe them a few pints... 4.5/10

stone cold classic. The voice :adore: the arrangments :adore: 9.3/10. Minor points off for (probably) overfamiliarity and me not being fussy about a few of the original songs. A minor quibble.

was alright - can see how it's a grower and decent enough in the background. 3 saved to my music. average.

Shite. i've tried the walker brothers and his solo stuff a various times over the years and never got it. I always thought that one day i would. I don't. Can't seem to vote no stars...

Muzak. Pish. Maybe, and I'm being generous, it was new and exciting in 1970 but it hasn't aged well. At all.

Thought it would be harder. Can see how it'd be great live but was a it non plussed. 4.5/10

I'm a big hip hop fan, and jeru has a revered reputation, but it's pretty shite. Decent beats at times but nothing grabs you. One for the purists... 2.5/10

had only ever heard the singles. Turns out theres a reason for that as the rest is pretty poor.

bob released this when he was 22. twenty fuckin two and it has masters of war, blowing in the wind, girl from the north county and don't think twice. Some filler, granted, but easily 8.8/10. And it's probably only my 5th or 6th favourite dylan album.

proper druggy and decent - sometimes a bit wishy washy.

raw. and 25 seconds to go, at folsom, is just fuckin great. Couple of duds but just great. 8.7/10.

pretty rugid - not helped by the kinda dirty production. I get the grunge influences, and i like some of her later stuff but this was just pretty....shite.
