Semi-Ashamed of what i didn’t realize was Marc Bolan influenced. Knew he and Bowie were buds, but never having gotten into T.Rex, didn’t realize that what i love about Siouxsie and Joy Division, and (super red face) the Ramones comes from this guy.

Never been a fan.

Best not listen to when already depressed. Although a good album, Nirvana and MTV were unhappy with the performance.

Didn’t think I’d like based on the first 3 tracks, then surprised at how much shit i get done with this in my ear. ADHD powers engaged. Not sure if i like it or if i like the benefits….

Didn’t realize how well i knew this album, or how many times I’d heard it before. Not surprised by my powers of disengagement or not always knowing who or what I’m listening to when I’m not the person pressing Play. It’s fine. Fully aware i rate harshly.

It’s the sound track of every 1950-60 movie in the most perfect way. Be it beatnik or love story- incredibly fun. Enough energy to move, not the ideal album for me to relax to. It makes me want to wear all my pin-up clothes.

I **almost** didn’t listen to Wild Gift before voting and reviewing because I already know i love X and this album. BUT- i actually took the time to listen to it a couple of times through before writing this. This week is shite at work and today i came home, cranked this album and lay on the floor letting the unpolished guitars and raw vocals melt that crap away. Perfect 80’s American punk album- a touch of rockabilly, just enough scream and right amount of thrash, be still my beating heart. Not my fave X album- regardless stellar showing.

So fun. Solid classic rock album, good drum solo, and those delightful narrations throughout. I think Mad John or lazy would be my favorite.

I’m not sure if I’m rating the album or my reaction to the album. I have a checkered past with the Killers, but this time it was fun to just sing along with all the songs.
