This is the original version of the Toy Story soundtrack based on the first draft of the script where Woody is a horrific racist and a raging alcoholic
Weird and very 70s but enjoyable all the way through
I don't care how much punk you make me listen to, I'm never gonna like it
Good couple songs but very samey
Salright
This is the music that plays when Walt and Jesse cook meth
Pretty prettty pretty pretty good
V good
The first half was a lot better than the second
A good listen all the way through
So much slide guitar
Absolutely loved it - was loads of fun all the way through
Gotta love the beastie boys
Long but very enjoyable - fav song was Sweet Virginia
Had a couple of good songs but overall not great - listen to their earlier stuff imo
Made me feel like I was a 1970s detective on the mean streets of Los Angeles. Too old for this shit. The boss thinks my methods are too drastic but goddamn it if I don't get results.
Very good and simple album with mostly just guitar and singing. Quite short where all the songs are concise and there isn't any filler.
Guess I'm a kinks fan now
A little weaker in the second half but still really good
Very cool and poppy, just a lot of fun to listen to
Who? Just listen to the Beatles
A couple of good songs on it but not amazing
Amazing
Can appreciate that it's probably good but not really my jam
"I can't forsake you or forsqueak you" the fuck is bro on about
I liked it but didn't think it was amazing
Is a pretty decent listen but not awfully memorable
Enjoyed it a lot - aged really well for a rap album from 1988
Very dark lyrics that made the songs interesting to listen to - not usually a fan of country stuff but this was alright
Great album with a really good atmosphere and backstory
Listenable but mid as hell
Some nice calm songs that were easy to listen to but I don't think I'd return for another listen tbh
Never listened to an abba album but this was good - a lot of their hits and always fun to listen to. Surprisingly good as an album listen as I thought it would just sound like a compilation of singles, but it didn't.
Enjoyed quite a lot
Good songs but was a bit too long for my liking
My favourite song was the one where a fast guitar riff was repeated for 3 minutes while the singer made guttural throat noises into the mic
Good listen overall and not too long! But only a couple of the songs I would revisit
Gotta love the beach boys
Ultimate crackhead music
Classic album but imo the 1st half is way stronger than the 2nd
Not really the biggest fan tbf, was just loud
Pretty good chill songs but not too many that I would revisit
Quite possibly the perfect album
Don't really need to explain why this is 5 stars
Liked a lot even for grunge which isn't really my thing
Pretty decent but slightly generic for 2000s rock
Love Stevie but this isn't his most memorable
Would be a 5 if this album ended after 4 tracks
Like the vibes but a lot of the songs sound a bit too similar
Loved the songs and it didn't overstay its welcome
Pretty listenable and chill but not amazing imo
Some good songs if a little long at times
Sounds like every motorway journey in the early 2000s on an overcast Sunday so gets some nostalgia points
Impeccable vibes
Album starts off and you think the message is "fuck yeah I'm an American!" But it's actually "fuck... I'm an American..."
Don't really think I need to explain why this is good
A good listen but a bit long
A good listen all the way through as the songs are short and all fairly distinct with some real classics like time of the season. 4/5 because it's good but not as great as some other albums from the same time like the kinks or Beatles
Some decent songs but a bit bloated
Pretty decent 90s rock but nothing amazing
Some decent songs but nothing amazing
Somehow both retro and futuristic at the same time
Feels wrong to pronounce z as zee but feels worse to call them 'zed zed top' so that's why I gave this album a 3
Good folk hippy music
I like black sabbath and this was a pretty decent listen
Very suspect lyrics but still bangs
Sounds like a guy who just pulled an all-nighter regretting every decision he's ever made
Liked some of the songs but a very bloated album
Singer really needs a throat lozenge
Sounds like the songs that play during a 90s romcom when they're driving into an American city for the first time
Just finished it but can't say I remember any of it
Liked child in time but the rest was okay.
Really interesting and unique sound and a good listen
Not the album filled with their 'hits' but still a really good listen and not really any bad or skippable songs. Plus it doesn't overstay its welcome at all!
Such an understated and beautiful pianist who really shows why less is more
Some good storytelling with the lyrics but unfortunately I don't think folk is my thing
👌
Good sampling music - perfect for working or having on in the background but some of the songs have merit on their own and deserve your full attention
Pretty good album but pales compared to their later stuff imo
Crazy that this is his fifteenth album!
Cool album art and cool songs
The ambient stuff wasn't bad and gave the album an interesting feel but meant I'll probably not listen to it back to front again
Liked all the songs so debated between a four and a five but went for four in the end because the songs were more pleasant than amazing
That was definitely one of the albums of all time
Maybe would resonate with me more if I was also close to death and contemplating my very existence but unfortunately I have many years ahead of me so it was just kind of alright
Enjoyed most of the songs and was very surprised when thom yorke showed up!
2000s fifa soundtrack: the album
Love getting albums like this that I would never normally be exposed to
Should be called 'Music for the Small Portion of the Masses who Enjoy Ambient Operatic Synth Chamber Music'
A good time was had by all
From the album art I thought it would be metal so was quite surprised when Damon Albarn started singing but otherwise not really that memorable
The first few songs I thought it was pretty chill but nothing special but then really got into it as it went on
Probably the Beatles album that fells most like it was made for teenage girls but still good
Tom waits with no sauce
Just listened to it but can't say I remember much of it other than it was alright
Would be 4.5 if I could do half stars
Would probably have rated higher if I hadn't had like 5 Neil young albums recently!
Quite good but folk rock isn't really my thing
If I grow my hair maybe I could become Jim Morrison. FAT. UGLY. DEAD.
First half, amazing. Second half, okay.
Weird but in a kinda good way
This is the original version of the Toy Story soundtrack based on the first draft of the script where Woody is a horrific racist and a raging alcoholic
Funky as hell
It's pretty good but does sound very dated
Some really good rock in here but unfortunately an hour and a half is just way too long
A classic 7/10
Pretty banging
More like gang of bore
Hard to be objective but this is such a good album
I like the vibe and it's very cool and retro but I don't think I'd ever seriously listen to this kind of music
Pretty decent if you don't go in expecting disco
Just a bit meh really
Short and sweet
A couple of good songs but a bit of a drag imo
Sounds about 25% as good as a Beatles album which makes sense
Too long and too mid
Just all round good fun
More fun than I initially expected but very 70s folk
Pretty long but also some pretty good songs in it
Fairly generic but still a good listen
A couple of good songs but the rest of it wasn't awfully memorable tbh
Was so good I actually have no complaints
Have a sweet spot for harpsichords in pop songs so "Shake it Up" was my favourite but the rest was nice but not sure I'd revisit
Is it controversial to say this is the best Nirvana album?
It was fine
The doors are good but this isn't their best
Please... no more punk... I can't take anymore...
It was fine but only really background music tbh
What can I say other than it was a good time
Imagine this is your favourite album and when people ask what your favourite album is you have to say it's by "Turbonegro" and features songs like "Rendezvous with Anus" and "Rock Against Ass"... couldn't be me
Chill
Some really good songs but a lot of them sound quite dated and very late 90s
The 70s were really fucking weird
Would have been a 5 were it not for the 15 minute drum solo at the end
Who doesn't like the talking heads but it is not the best album (still good though)
This has to be one of the horniest albums ever made
Wasn't expecting much but it was actually pretty good
Some decent songs but there is a lot of songs that just sound generic
Hello, Incredible Bongo Band? Give me all the bongos you have... no, that's too many...
He should really let all those people in the cages behind him out
Long but didn't feel it! Very much enjoyed
Better than the other police album on this list by a country mile
One decent song that is about 15 minutes too long and I can't even remember the others
Good fun but waaay too long
Maybe Radiohead's weirdest but still banging
This album is slightly too long but it's Radiohead so it's hardly anything to complain about
Randy Newman fucking hates god
Too long and produced by a literal murderer so any good parts of this album are negated
Morrisey is a moaner but in a good way
Hard to rate because I enjoyed it all the way but is more of a background ambient album than one you would actively listen to. Still cool though
Don't really get the hype - arcade fire are just ok
Just a bit wank really
Weird and very 70s but enjoyable all the way through
A couple of good songs on it but I never lived in the 80s so this does nothing for me
Like a crazy rock opera
Only 4 stars because it's not discovery
All these "edgy" 70s and 80s punk albums remind me of that buzz lightyear meme where there's hundreds of him
Banging
Very dated but super influential
Morrissey doesn't do subtlety
Sounds like autumn
The more I listen to led zeppelin the more I like them
I don't care how much punk you make me listen to, I'm never gonna like it
Can appreciate it's good but just not really my thing
Never really got why U2 were super popular tbh they're just mid
Banging
Cool European hotel lobby music
I enjoyed that all the songs were like 2 minutes
The band sounds like an olive oil brand but these are no extra virgins
Don't know what genre it is but I like it
It was okay
There was no special sauce to be found
Such a chilled and easy to listen to album I was sad it was only 30 minutes
Music that makes you feel drunk
Good but forever tainted by stranger things weirdos
Easy 5
Don't think I'd revisit but it was perfectly fine
Weird but like in a good way
Quite a few good songs but not as consistent as their other albums
Feel bad for people giving this album bad reviews because this is great
Very chilled vibe and a good relaxing listen
The most accurately named album ever - this is genius
Sounds like diarrhoea
Sounds exactly like bristol
Is very good but does sound a bit too much like heart radio
There is some major 80s bias on the list because there is no way this is an album you should listen to before you die
Bob Dylan obsessed with his ex for 1 hour 12 mins
Great but shouldn't have put let's stay together first because nothing else compares to it
These kinks fellas sure love a good concept album
That's the song from robots (2005)
Only album so far that had a song so good they included it twice
Just about the only metal I actually like
This man heard bob dylan and the smiths and thought "yeah sounds easy enough"
Feel like this was made to sound deliberately bad
Not usually a fan of country but this was good
Average nightclub at 2am music but still good
Unlike a lot of old country music this doesn't sound racist!
Too Christian for me
Fake working class dickheads tbh more of a blur man myself
A perfect case study in why bjork needed to go solo
Banging and very 2000s nostalgic
One of the three stones album that sound basically the same but it's a good sound so who cares
A very well named band bc this does sound quite velvety
Just a bit boring
Easy listening and very soulful
Absolutely banging
