16 Lovers Lane
The Go-BetweensFun songs. Cool vibe.
Fun songs. Cool vibe.
From the familiar voicings of Fast Car to the unexpected acapella of Behind The Wall. This entire album transcends time. The political insights of Why? remain a point of discussion in modern times. And it’s Fucking Tracy Chapman. This album rocks, but softly and beautifully.
Some real classics. This album starts out with the familiar sounds of Sunday Bloody Sunday and New Years Day which anyone who has listened to the radio in the last 40 years will recognize instantly. But the Deep tracks on the B side are where the real brilliance shines through.
Classic. Punk rock meets Rap. You gotta love this offering from the Beastie Boys.
Amazing Paul Simon at his best songwriting. Although he stole a bunch of the music from the South African musicians he worked with during recording. The songwriting is exceptional
One of the best albums of all time.
Classic. Smooth. A true masterpiece
Straight ripper. Play loud!
Shows a diverse range from a band I was aware of but not overly familiar with. Will be listening to much more from them.
Awesome early psychedelia
That song is a classic. Seems like the rest of the record was just thrown together around it.
More people should listen to big star.
Probly my favorite solo album from any of the Beatles
Loved this album. Have no idea what he’s singing about. But that really helps to emphasize how great the music and melodies are.
Pretty cool ambient sounds. A lot of drone rocking. Great album.
Mellow acoustic. Great singer songwriter.
Lawedome synth pop. Loved the vibe
Badass old school hip hop. Really dug the album
From the dada inspired I Zimbra, to the classic Talking Heads Cities, and Life During Wartime, through the mellow vibes of Heaven. This album is a classic.
Everyone knows song #1 but the rest of this album is awesome too
Great album. A few really good versions of other classics from the era.
So this one wasn’t really my thing. She just kinda talk sings the whole time and every song sounds the same.
Great nineties punk rock
A lot of loud guitars. Another great predecessor of grunge
Great oldies. Still holds up.
Some friends tried to turn me on to this album a few years ago and I didn’t think much of it. But after a relisten it was clear why so many people love this band.
What a timeless voice!
Really loved this vibe. Great singer great songs
Later album from Marvin. You can really hear him flexing a well used muscle. Well polished songs. Beautiful Melodys, soulful singing with thoughtful lyrics.
Her voice and style is completely unique. After a brief adjustment period this album really shines.
Kinda punk kinda rock. Kinda fun
If you can get past his voice it’s a great album.
Just straight up blues. One of the best at it.
Let’s rock!
Dime store Talking Heads. No doubt ahead of its time. But lacking the polish to hold up through time.
The world needs more country music like this. Broken hearts, cheatin’ and what happens after.
Great live album from a great rock and roll band.
Can’t mess with Elvis
It’s wild how this music was seen as rebellious back in the day and now it’s on Nissan commercials and played at sporting events. Just sounds like good ole rock and roll.
Fun songs. Cool vibe.
Great writing from a period of early rock n roll. Fun to listen to.
Eh. Ok.
Not really my jam but a fun listen
If you like the stones you’ve likely worn this record out. If the stones aren’t your jam then this is very “meh”
Amazing songs. Great album.
Such greatness.
Great versions of some of the bands best material. Also some awesome covers.
Great Blues tunes. Awesome album
Definitely the sound of the 80s fun to listen to but starts to drone on after a while
Not often I find early British punk I haven’t exhausted. So I enjoyed this.
Even if you don’t know it you will Probly sing every song.
