From the familiar voicings of Fast Car to the unexpected acapella of Behind The Wall. This entire album transcends time. The political insights of Why? remain a point of discussion in modern times. And it’s Fucking Tracy Chapman. This album rocks, but softly and beautifully.

Some real classics. This album starts out with the familiar sounds of Sunday Bloody Sunday and New Years Day which anyone who has listened to the radio in the last 40 years will recognize instantly. But the Deep tracks on the B side are where the real brilliance shines through.

Classic. Punk rock meets Rap. You gotta love this offering from the Beastie Boys.

Amazing Paul Simon at his best songwriting. Although he stole a bunch of the music from the South African musicians he worked with during recording. The songwriting is exceptional

From the dada inspired I Zimbra, to the classic Talking Heads Cities, and Life During Wartime, through the mellow vibes of Heaven. This album is a classic.

Everyone knows song #1 but the rest of this album is awesome too

So this one wasn’t really my thing. She just kinda talk sings the whole time and every song sounds the same.

Some friends tried to turn me on to this album a few years ago and I didn’t think much of it. But after a relisten it was clear why so many people love this band.

Later album from Marvin. You can really hear him flexing a well used muscle. Well polished songs. Beautiful Melodys, soulful singing with thoughtful lyrics.

Her voice and style is completely unique. After a brief adjustment period this album really shines.

Dime store Talking Heads. No doubt ahead of its time. But lacking the polish to hold up through time.

It’s wild how this music was seen as rebellious back in the day and now it’s on Nissan commercials and played at sporting events. Just sounds like good ole rock and roll.

One of my first real rock albums as a kid. Way ahead of its time.

Personally I like their earlier work. The later work doesn’t have the same grit. This album is considered the midpoint for me. I can’t deny the greatness of it but it represents a more mainstream version of the previous music from them. Still 5 stars tho.

This was one of my first cds growing up. I remember not “getting” it at first. A few years later I stumbled back across it after starting to learn guitar and was blown away. In my opinion this is Jimi’s magnum opus.
