Pretty good album. Best tracks: "Electioneering", "No Surprises", "Airbag".
Album is not very musically interesting. I was growing sleepy by the end of it. The political commentary is milquetoast at best. I will grant it a 3 because it has some banger tracks: "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", "Letterbomb", "American Idiot".
Considering my memories of Coldplay, I expected to not like this album. I was pleasantly surprised. It's an entertaining listen with a fair amount of variance from track-to-track.
I don't really like metal, so the fact that I enjoyed this came at a great surprise to me. It has excellent instrumentation. All of the tracks were interesting, from beginning to end. Highlights: "Dirt", "Rain When I Die", "Hate To Feel".
I didn't find this album very compelling. At the same time, it wasn't bad either. It did have some decent tracks, namely "See No Evil", "Friction", "Marquee Moon", and "Torn Curtain".
Damn cuz this thing groovin from start to finish!
Not particularly impressive or interesting. Noise. Torrent of shit, even. Maybe if I listened a few more times, I would get it, but it would probably break me.
This album is a crazy fusion of R&B and folk. It's delightfully weird and a must-listen. Best tracks: "Silver Raven", "No Other".
For me, this was really boring. I was just waiting for it to be over from the first song. At the very least, I wouldn't mind this being on in the background.
This is bloody awesome, especially for a debut album. It's way too consistent.
It's a pretty solid showing from Steely Dan. However, I just don't like Steely Dan's sound that much. They're fine, but they're not my favourite, and I don't think they will ever be (but I'm always willing to change).
Never heard the Cure before, but they sound exactly like what I imagined lmao.
This is an excellent album all around, and one of the best from Talking Heads. Not a single bad track, or even mediocre track.
I wasn't expecting to like this damn thing anywhere near as much as I did. It's really really good, and I recommend it to anyone enthusiastically.
I thought this thing was quite enjoyable. It is a little unfocused, but that doesn't detract from the music. Favourite tracks -- "Relax", "War", and "The Only Star in Heaven".
Really solid jazz-esque pop album. Favourite tracks: "Painter Song", "The Nearness of You"
This album is both a really bizarre look into Marvin Gaye's personal life, and full of really solid tracks. "When Did You Stop Loving Me, When Did I Stop Loving You" is simultaneously a scathing rip on his ex and a damn fine bop.
Very solid jazz album. Almost has moments that evoke "free jazz", which was a movement prominent during this time.
I don't want to listen to or hear this album again.
This is easily one of the best albums of the 2010s. Kendrick's album here is a must-listen for any hip-hop fan, and probably his best album overall.
Daft Punk is pretty good at what they do, but they don't make music that is made to be listened to. All the songs on this album are something to be played in the club; none of the songs really stand out on their own, save maybe a few. That being said, all of them are good music to dance to after getting piss drunk and high.
This is a pretty boring album; it's essentially fodder to be played over the PA system in a Cabela's.
This is a pretty interesting album of white people soul. I definitely think it's worth a listen, even if it ultimately doesn't feel that groundbreaking.
Damn, now I know what "folktronica" sounds like, I guess.
This album had a good opener, but then it quickly started sounding kind of like... Coldplay? I mean, it doesn't *really* sound like them, but it also kind of does. Anyway, it's just not my cup of tea, and I have to demote it for tricking me in the first minute.
Before this, I had only ever listened to Protection, and I thought this would be another so-so album to pass through my ears. It's certainly still not a genre I care for, being a rather saccharine type of music, but I can certainly see why people might want to enjoy this one.
Not really my thing (I tend to dislike this kind of music); however, Solomon Burke is a really good singer, you can hear.
This one is pretty damn good. One of my favourite albums of all time. Definitely not my favourite Cocteau Twins album, but that just goes to show how good the Cocteau Twins are. This album's vocal performances are such an incredible display of raw emotion. Some tracks are beautiful, some tracks are sad, some tracks are happy, some tracks are bitter. If you try to attach English lyrics to it, you miss the point-- you are speaking the wrong language.
