Absolute oldie
Absolutely american
What's the deal with all the "oh mama"s
Songs all sound the same tbh
"Mother and child reunion" is a banger
Don't understand the overwhelming popularity of "Me and Julio by the schoolyard"
Rest of the album is boring
Classic metal
Can't tell if nothing is really outstanding or if it was at the time and I'm just accustomed tho this kind of stuff
Breaking the law is an earworm
Oh hell yeah classic jazzie
Ella Fitzgerald queen, legendary voice
Brass sections are juicy af
Disc 6 instrumentals by Nelson Riddle are hella good
Highway star : Why is that guitar solo so muddy ?
Pictures of Home - Bass solo is amazing
Never before - THE STEREO IMAGING ??? Holy hell if I close my eyes that guitar in the intro is right in front of me, a little to my left that's sick, tickles my brain
SMOOOOKE ON THE WAAAATEEEEER
tun tun tuuun - tun tun tunuuun - tun tun tuuun - tun - tuuun
Lazy - That song sounds so jazzy I love it. That ride playing through the song, that swinged rhythm in the intro, hmmmmm juicy
Space Truckin' - Absolute headbanger
What happens in the stereo field in this album is insane, so much clarity in the space
So much of the guitar melodies are legit earworms
Bassline in Jenny was a friend of mine is super catchy, lead voice is cool too
Mr brightside is great ofc, but why is it the 52nd most listened song on spotify wtf its huge
SOMEBODY TOLD ME YAHHH
All these things that I've done intro = Queen
Really cool album, much variety yet every song blends in really well with the rest
Pretty cool!
A few classics (Hotel california really is good), nothing STUNNING though.
Would've put 3.5 stars if it was an option
Really interesting sounds
Those minutes-long guitar riffs are quite iconic
Loved "Country Home" and "Over and Over"
Mother earth is pretty cool, it really has that national anthem vibe. Is it the scale used along with the slower bpm? Interesting
3.5
Pretty cool
Pure brass into your veins
Llego mijan is crazy how is it one of the least popular??
The album cover on spotify is so boomer vintage I love it
3.5
DNB LETSGO
Brown paper bag starts as boring and weird, but gradually pulls you in. Finished the song not realizing I've been headbanging for the last 5 minutes
Let's get it on drum break is tight af
Digital : Vocals are really dry
The sterero imaging in Matter of fact is really cool, so much movement
Sounds are WEIRD, often sounding like they're not even in time
Album cover is fucking cool
I want to put 4 cause me like dnb but if I'm honest I haven't had such a great time listening
oh that's gonna be good
Really strong start with Lively up yourself setting the tone for the rest of the album
No one i this world can resist to sing along to No woman no cry it's so good
Rebel music : Danakil marley instrumental gimmick!!
Talkin' blues : "Your feet are too big for your shoes" quite ironic
Really strong album overall, bob is a legend
4
Wasn't that focused when listening to this one
Old school rap, addressing big topics in the black community. Those issues are still there today 35 years later, uh-oh!
Interesting to hear (what i interpret as) a MC behind the rapper's vocals and how predominant he is.
You don't hear that anymore in today's rap I believe, or maybe I don't listen to the kind of hip hop that does feature it.
3
Pièce de théâtre froide - Parachutes
Gonna have to listen to it a second time. An album this popular should not leave me this emotionless. I must have missed something.
Well maybe I missed it again but the second time was as dull as the first.
Yellow is cool I like the bassline.
It's not bad music I guess. If it's that popular, they definitely did something right. I, however, don't resonate with it.
2.5
So apparently this album was made after the death of the singer's son.
Ghost + teen = ghosteen? weak pun not a fan
The music has a gloomy but hopeful vibe that's quite pleasing.
I'll do another listen concentrating on the lyrics.
Alright I did another listen and it goes indeed quite deep.
Yeah what Cave went through truly is terrible.
I was going to say I wasn't that moved by the album. But nobody cares how it made me in particular feel or how relatable it was for me.
Cave felt the need to make music after his son's death, a process which may or may not have healed him in some way, but that's not important.
He made art -
From and for his own feelings.
From and for a moving event he went through.
From and for his loved ones.
That's one of the most beautiful things one can do.
I'm now going to rate the album quite low. It is based on how the music sounded and how much I enjoyed listening to it, not on how much emotional weight it has.
So old yet it sounds so.. modern ??
I have the feeling this very album paved the way for the future of soul music.
Every song is good wtf
I'm not sure how I feel about live albums.
Audio quality is lower, we hear the crowd, we hear the fuck ups, which is fine when you're actually there, but just listening to it is meh imo.
Actually there are 0 fuck ups in this one it's quite impressive
Last one was cool, him playing with the crowd was fun to hear
I know this guy!
Last album of his - ragged glory - got a 3 from me. It also came out 20 years later (1990), so it's probably quite different.
Pretty cool! Indeed quite different from ragged glory. Less adventurous i'd say ? But good voice, good melodies.
10min songs tho, too long for my 2025 gen Z attention span
I feel like i'm giving so much 3s
3.5
The dude in the album cover is looking at the review lol
He should be happy, cause I like it! Good altrock
"Paint a vulgar picture" - Fucking cool guitar parts
3.9
Really nice i hadn't heard of them
"One nation under a groove" super catchy super nice
"Into you" that voice is insane!
"Maggot brain" guitar parts are really cool
Love the cover
I think I like melodic stuff, this album is not melodic enough for my taste. It's more about textures and ambience i feel like.
Definite shroom music
Taxman : that guitar in the left ear is unlistenable
Why do they keep doing that panning instruments to only one side thing
Never heard about T.rex
Didn't have a bad time listening to it, wasnt't moved either
Good voice
2.5
Mom's favorite band
Sunday bloody sunday certified classic of course
WOOF WOOF BARK WOOF
Girls & Boys - PZK les filles adorent ???? Banger tho
Having a really good time
Love the occasional fast-paced, almost goofy songs (bank holiday, lot 105)
4 tbh
So apparently someone died while saving this record from a studio fire wtf
Pretty soothing, nice to have as background music
"Bananeira" - Banger
3.5
Black sabbath more like light sabbath, that's soft
War pigs is not bad
Most songs follow the same recipe : Telling a story with Sentence -> Guitar/Harmonica -> sentence -> Guitar/Harmonica -> ...
He's got a good voice tho
Art-I-Ficial : Great riff, not a fan of her voice
Had a really good time?
I got a child-like, innocent vibe out of this album that I really loved

Hey pretty cool rap
Flow is pretty repetitive but well executed
Very soothing, very nice
"Hero" - That guitar licc is awesome
Nah this album is excellent, it flows so well
Oh i didn't notice it was this recent. Not sure what to think. Am I so used to recent stuff that I only like when shit sounds modern ? Well that's kinda normal since that's all I have ever been listening to. Really gotta practice liking older stuff.
4.5
The band by the band by the band by the band
By
The band
- The band
3
Wasn't really focused, but 3 i think
"Natalie's party" : great opener! It gives a diy, almost amateur like sound that feels very, uh, authentic?
Was disappointed by the rest of the album unfortunately
2.5
Why are some songs on splotify grayed out ?
Absolute oldie
3
Beautiful cover
Music is not stunning
2.5
Why is the guy on the left so alone lol
Good vibes makes one want to smile
Love the cover
Gloomy music
Great opener
I take it back, the end of the songs sounds like a donkey is being slaughtered
Honaloochie boogie YEAH
Boogers banquet
What stands out in this whole project is that superstar artists/bands do not necessarily sound as good as the rest of the pack. This checks out here, its cool but cmon it's the rolling stones, everyone knows their name i expected more.
2
STEPHANE MERVEILLE
oh fonky chonky
Superstition all time banger

Separating the dude from the art here
Hes a good rapper. Thats a good album. Lyrics are superficial but sounds sound good. Like good good.
Can't give more than 3 though tbh he really is nazi
That's a DEEP lung cancer voice
Can't really relate to the religious lyrics unftly
Traveling lights instrumental is COOL
2/5 time
OK music but why is it on the list?
It came out in 2012 when rock was of course already well established, and does not seem to be any kind of turning point in the genre. Odd!
Cool one, hadn't listened to radiohead before.
BO  RING  BO  RING
Actually it's the better sounding kind of country, not that bad.
Good voice
Beautiful opener

Having a good time in general!!
3.5
Oh horses again, it gives nick cave...
Well it's confirmed
Did not like it!!
Great voice, great tone, great pitch accuracy
Love when she goes just a tad out of tune, really gives a texture
DIfference between leo's voice in this and "You want it darker" is insane.
Cigarettes ?? Aging ??
I prefer it to you want it darker, it's more melodic, and sometimes even kinda catchy
"First we take manhattan" is a coolie, very cinematic
actually enjoyed it, ill rate it 4
Take five absolute classic
The drumming in this one is pheeeew
great great great songs
4
Some of the better sounding rock of that time

Kill'em at the hot club tonite is so good, jazzy and chilly yet catchy
Fucking scary cover
Ah light sabbath again, still sounds soft
Must have been hard af at the time tho, or I don't understand the appeal to this band. heavy music really has changed since, so thats probably the case

Much country, on ma face a bounty
Every song follows the same recipe
It's ok. Good potential but i found it kinda soulless
Some cool ones but not wonderful
Headache simulator
There ARE some hype riffs and drum breaks though
Can't put 1, cause it's out there and some of it is good, but it's draining
Not the same place wtf
Actually quite enjoyable
Singer has a great voice really
GOING DOOOOWN
Song 3, really cool so far
Sick alb
pcool, sounds kinda repetitive tbh
Don't like it, too much off-the-grid talking/whistling
Interesting fusion between oriental and western music
Some cool ones really!
Pretty cool, makes me think of parklife idk why
Holy his voice changed SO much since then
I prefer this version tbh, less lung cancer-y
Calmth
words ending with "o" simulator
cool basslines, good voice, good ambience
very shallow lyrics i feel
Has an english rock vibe that is pcool
Ok when I'm 64 is a banger
3/5 still
Love the cover, very wimmelbilder
White winter hymnal is a banger
Mixing sounds quite modern for 1968
Very good mood
Don't really like the popular queen, but this one is actually quite enjoyable!
Very short, but very catchy, very cool!
they definitely are angry and a little bit crazydoo
interesting genre, very sweden-y
Oh this is gonna be good (hopefully)
Yeah it's really good, fav is quixoticelixer
FREAK OUT :music_notes:
Pretty fun, very repetitive thou
3 i guess ?
cant hear the vocals wthelly
not stunning
people back then really had a different way of thinking about music. Idk sometimes lyrics are beautiful sometimes they just feel like words to fill in blanks.
Songs were less catchy also. But that's maybe today's problem with dopamine-filled songs.
Maybe they had another idea for what is catchiness also
Lots of words to say that my dubstep filled brain doesn't like it
2/5
Oh yeah he really is king
Another cool one by blur, but less than parklife<3
The who
The where
The when
quite boring rap, the finale with anthrax il tue tho
"Genius" - well i don't like it
beatlecore
very good vibes tbh
Sterero imaging in 10th & crenshaw is really cool, 8d audio before its age
interesting, but kinda soulless
Well really good rapping
That dude got text
Kim is unbearable wtf thats heavy
I like jazz and live instruments, but this all sounds kinda the same to me
Yeah that's funky
4/5 great one good discovery
puts you in a room with shiny white walls
staring at a black shiny sphere in the middle of the room
The light is yellow-ish but not ugly, more like a heavenly glow
I think it's very advanced for its time
Some songs are really saturated its kinda weird
4/5
some catchy tunes, not stunning
So UK
Liked the high energy of it
The intro of "This is music" is an ear tickler, we don't hear that often
Wasn't very focused, but it sure was at least alright
I love that band name
Cool cover too
Playground love is really good
interesting, 3/5
lots of screaming
dont scream please
not very enjoyable not gonna lie
2/5
Less depressing than ghosteen (ofc)
Loved the harmonies in There she goes my beautiful world
wasn't focused, it wasn't bad i think
not impressed, lots of mud
2/5
Interesting, really eclectic
