Off The Wall
Michael JacksonI enjoyed this, but I wonder if that's because the recent albums have been rubbish? I felt a certain way listening to this: Michael Jackson was an incredible pop artist, but was he also a nonce? Makes me uncomfortable

Sultans of Swings is the stand out song by far. Everything else was good, but most of it sounded the same. I don't think I would listen to this again.
I didn't realise how many songs I knew from this album. Only the deluxe edition is on Spotify, and it's a lot more ska/two tone than blues or jazzy. Love Is a Losing Game is an incredibly sad song.
I really did not like this. I only got half way through before I had to stop.
I really enjoyed this. Old school rap, which I imagine would be played in a cool cocktail bar now. I'm not sure if there were a lot of samples used, or these are the original songs which were then used as samples, but I liked this a lot.
This came out just after I broke up with my ex, and brought back a lot of memories from that time. Due to current issues this was quite painful to listen to. It's brilliant though, Adele has a powerful voice and some touching lyrics. I understand why this is one of the best selling albums in Britain of all time.
I could not stand this. It was just noise and I stopped after 2 songs
It wasn't bad, it was just pretty boring. Every sound sounded similar, and they were so long! I honestly thought I'd been listening for 30 minutes and it was only the first 4 songs!
I'd forgotten how much I liked this album when it came out.
It wasn't bad, just not my vibe. Felt like the songs sounded the same throughout
There were a couple of songs I enjoyed (Karma Cameleon) however I felt the majority of the songs were very repetitive. I know this is a symptom of the 80s, but this was a lot
I didn't mind this! I think the album was very cohesive and had an industrial feel. I can see why it's on this list
I didn't hate it, I didn't love it.
I didn't like this. I didn't think it was terrible, I just didn't vibe with it
I had to drop out of listening to this as it was terrible, and I like 70s music!
I liked the music, but I didn't enjoy the singing so much. It was slightly boring
It's easy listening, however most of the songs blur into one another. It reminds me of Jack's dad. Also, I might have enjoyed this more in the summer
I enjoyed this. It's like an alternative version of Blondie, but for the cool kids.
This was OK, maybe I would have loved it more if I had been at Woodstock as that's the vibes it gave.
This was just a weird bunch of noise.
Very chilled and nice to listen to in the morning. I've never heard of K.D Lang before, but she sings like Roy Orbison at times.
This wasn't terrible, however as I was not dropping ecstasy and rolling in a club in the 90s,i didn't think it was great. It was repetitive, and just made me think of adverts, as that's what the music is used for now
I really liked this!
I'm not sold on this album. Schools out is a big hit of a song, enduring even now as a rebellious anthem, but the rest of the album doesn't match up in tone. I wonder what age group Alice Cooper was aiming his music at?
I enjoyed this, but I wonder if that's because the recent albums have been rubbish? I felt a certain way listening to this: Michael Jackson was an incredible pop artist, but was he also a nonce? Makes me uncomfortable
I hated this. It was a collection of noise and I stopped at song 4.
This was awful. The first song was 20 minutes long. I couldn't even get through that
This wasn't bad, there were a few songs I enjoyed, but a few were definitely a product of the times and may not have aged so well. I was not aware Beyonce used some of the If You Were My Girlfriend lyrics in her rap break down on Bonnie and Clyde 03!
This was OK, but most of the songs sounded the same
This was OK. I'm wasn't in love with it though, I feel it's one of those 'you'd have to be there at release' to get the hype
I know Meatloaf is a knob, but this was a great album. The songs are slightly too long at times, especially the intros, but it was a fun bit of power metal
This was much better than Kid A, and helped with work focus due to the low fi beats. As reminded me of Jack's school friend Harry's music
This was fine, but all the sings bled into one another. I couldn't pick out a highlight, but it was bad either
I didn't hate it, but Jack found it unbearable. Made me think of Cuba Revs
The first type of black metal album according to Jack. It's interesting it's on this list, and while it wasn't the worst thing I've heard, the beat was the same throughout each song, and it drained me
I think Lady Gaga sampled a song from this
I enjoyed 1 song, but had to stop listening after 4. It was just a collection of noise that hurt my brain, especially when the beat was off. It was also too jazzy for me. Maybe I'm too white for this album
A very chill album which I enjoyed
It wasn't bad, certainly not as bad as some of the other albums I've had to listen to from this era. But it was also boring.
Something Tony would love! Laid back reggae, which all sounds the same. Although the lyrics felt very politically charged.
I remember when this came out, and I thought the first 2 songs and the cover (it not over) were great but the rest was quite rubbish. I still feel like that today
This wasn't bad, which is surprising for me to say when I really don't like U2. I still prefer Johnny Cash's version of One Love
I hated it. Croony shit
This was very boring country rock. I know there's a link to the wiki page, and perhaps I should start reading it because I don't see why this was so great
I hate how much I liked this due to the nonce history
This wasn't terrible, but it was quite boring with a 2025 lens. I don't think this has aged well. I don't think Meg is a good drummer or singer, in fact Jack White isn't a good singer either. Weird about the brother sister thing too.
While some songs blurred into the background, overall I enjoyed this Chilled American rock, which gave wheetus vibes
I really enjoyed this! It was so smooth and chilled. Perfect evening or Sunday listening. I'd own this on vinyl if possible
I didn't love this album when it came out, as I felt it was really overplayed and overhyped. However, listening to it now I really enjoyed it!
This was really boring, the songs were too long, and I didn't vibe
A very 80s sounding album. Not a bad thing, but nothing stood out to me
This was fine, but all the songs sounded the same
I wasn't a fan
While the music was good, the singing was horrid.
I liked this as I listen to classical to help me sleep when I'm anxious
Theres some very obvious classic bangers here, which stand the test of time, however I'm not sure the whole album holds up. Strong lyrically and very politically motivated, which does stand the test of time, especially in 2025,the beat/bouncy backing noise just doesnt
