It's obviously a classic funk album. Seminal. But too well-known; I've heard some of those songs so many times before I heard the album. And some of it is a little too smooth for me.
Respect it for the position it holds and influence it had on music - but not a big lover of it.
Not for me. So synth and 80's. Tina is an incredible singer but the music doesn't do her justice
Quality. Bass for days, 80s through and through but with soul and feeling. Great harmonies, fantastic songs, will be listening again

There's few better sounds in the world than this band. However the songs aren't as good as the performance
This is not a good album. Baffling that they thought it was something worth releasing. Equally baffling to imagine someone rushing to a studio saying 'lads I've written an absolute banger - we're going to repeat two notes for 11 minutes!'
At times I thought it reminded me of Spiritualized, a band I love. It has some of the jam vibe but none of the good stuff.
Turns out that this band is a precursor to Spiritualized. Makes sense, but still does not make it good.
