Full albums a banger from start to finish. Its hard to listen without bopping your head throughout Standout - it’s hard to single one out, you've gotta listen to it start to finish. I did like handcuffs a-lot though.

Some pretty bangers - plainsong, pictures of you, lovesong are the best 3 openers ever. Lullaby is a classic. Does tail off near the end. I prefer his more depressing earlier stuff like

Hard to describe this as anything other than a masterpiece. It was already one of my top 10 albums of all time so hard to not give it anything other then 5/5 Rock and roll suicide is great. When he goes YOURE NOT ALONE! Ya know, ya feel like youre not alone :( Five years is the greatest intro ever Starmans amazing. I keep watching the TOTP clip and when he starts hit little pointing thingy with mick ronson you realise hes just the greatest rock star of all time. And the other three spiders from mars are hull/driff lads so whats not to like.

I like the line “falls wanking to the floor” from time. The only way you’re gonna trip up doing that is by walking. The mental image of bowie having a wank while having a walk is humorous to me. You cant do both at the same time, surely? Anyways, i do love this album. Especially side B. Time to Lady grinning soul is such a good run of songs. Drive in saturday is also one of his best evers. That said its not as good as ziggy. Its a solid 4.5. I even think its not as good as station to station or Low. I think if it had john, im only dancing on like it was meant too it may have pipped a 5. Alas, i went 4.

Dont listen to anyone else its getting a 5 Maggot brain is the best guitar solo of all time. Eddie hazel is better than hendrix i tell ya Can you get to that may be the best funkadelic song ever Hit it and quit it is again/super stupid - peak eddie hazel. I like the way its kinda psychadelicy 60s rock more than funk. Ya certainly cant pigeon hole funkadelic I sure as hell wish i were in that recording studio when this was done.

It annoys me that i enjoyed alot of this. Guy garvey is obviously a pint man, every other lines about pints being class. I can respect that. Drinking in the morning sun i can only assume means pints for brekkie. Alot of the songs sounded like theme tunes to BBC2 comedy dramas. Did like audience with the pope and the fix. I mean perfect album aint it. After hearing the first half 1,000,000 times the last half of the albums even better. I could listen to hand of doom forever. Just dirty funky little bassline.
