1001 Albums Summary

I could swear I'd listened to this before, but the only songs I recognized were Mother and Child Reunion and Me and Julio. A good album, but far from Paul Simon's best solo work. 3/5

I really just do not see the appeal of this band. Some serviceable if down-the-middle rock songs, but I really don't hear anything groundbreaking here. Also Liam Gallagher has a whiny voice. 2/5

Not super familiar with her catalog beyond the big hits, but this is a fun listen. I can definitely see why this was impactful at the time. 4/5

Not Jimi's best album, but still outstanding all around. 4/5.

I absolutely adore Steely Dan, and this is a top three album for me. Not a bad track on the whole thing. 5/5.

Familiar with the man, but not so much the music. The juxtaposition of this compared to contemporary recordings like Kind of Blue or Mingus Ah Um is really interesting, incredibly different but with streams of common ground. Overall very enjoyable. 4/5

Fine I guess? Everybody's Talkin' is of course an all time classic, and a few other songs were decent, but I didn't really hear anything remarkable imo. 2/5.

Overall really good, I was only familiar with the radio tracks previously. The whole thing sounded like high school. Didn't like the interludes, I don't know why those were so prevalent for a while there. 4/5.

I'm honestly not sure what I was expecting, but it definitely was not this. I guess Dear Mr. Fantasy is the only Traffic song I was really familiar with. This is great though, very much digging it. 4/5
