Sonic Youth
1/5
Why so much random guitar distortion? Why the voices so far away? Sounds like a demo or live recording. Not really my thing I guess.

Orbital
2/5
Is it a dance fest, am I playing Sims, or is this a happy hardcore party? Definitely a bit too crazy for me to listen to during work.

R.E.M.
3/5
Some songs really good. Somewhat monotonous album. Some songs a bit hysterical
Michael Jackson
4/5
Amazing energy in the start. Bit more melancholic towards the end, but still very nice. The quality of the recording is amazing. Overall really good album.
Marvin Gaye
3/5
Nice and smooth. Beautiful voice and some good songs. Overall a bit too sweet and soft to listen as an album regularly.
Minutemen
1/5
Punk-y album, not great. Interesting Spanish guitar after a few songs? Think this guy was doing a loooot of drugs. This album is all over the place. The longer I listen to it, the more it feels like torture. Corona is a cool song, recognised it from Jackass:)
Bon Jovi
4/5
First song quite good, second and third amazing, then just ok for a bit, then one more pretty good song towards the end
Public Enemy
3/5
Starts off with high energy and total chaos, was worried a bit too much energy! Then some quite good tracks, serious messages brought in a playful way. Then chaos again, sometimes ok, sometimes giving a headache.
Simon & Garfunkel
4/5
First track really nice. Second not so great. Then some good tracks. They're all pleasant to listen to, though maybe some somewhat repetitive.
Brian Eno
3/5
Quite good album, not amazing.
Gary Numan
3/5
Pretty intense and spaced. Not bad, but need to be in the right mood to listen to this!
Ice Cube
3/5
I liked the tracks at the start. The later tracks were ok, but a poco loco
Harry Nilsson
4/5
Love the first song, knew it from Russian Doll. Other songs also very pleasant. Coconut featured in Reservoir dogs also a classic of course!
Cheap Trick
3/5
Pretty decent album. Liked Surrender and a few more songs.
Pixies
1/5
That was a lot of shouting
The Isley Brothers
5/5

Madness
3/5
Really pleasant album with some tracks that stood out.
Sex Pistols
1/5
Some ok songs, bit tired of all the shouting
Radiohead
5/5
Many great songs, just one or two not so great
Bruce Springsteen
3/5
It was all right, no highlights, but also no particular tracks I disliked
Fela Kuti
4/5
Amazing album, so much energy! I would however turn it off before the last track, because the drum solo goes on forever.
Foo Fighters
3/5
Some ok songs, but many not really for me or I wasn't in the mood.
Os Mutantes
3/5
It's kind of fun, different. Not sure if I'd really listen to it again though.

Some good songs, some ok songs
Van Halen
3/5
It's all right
The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy
2/5
It's not necessarily bad, just a bit too intense.
The Replacements
1/5
Not able to finish listening
Soft Cell
2/5
It was medium but tainted love is pretty good
The Prodigy
3/5
Love the Prodigy. Pretty good album on the whole, though some tracks are definitely not as good as others and make the album a bit worse on the whole.
Goldfrapp
4/5
Bit spacy but pretty good
Parliament
4/5
Funky
The Prodigy
3/5
The beginning was mostly good, the later minimal-isch techno I personally did not enjoy as much.
Bob Dylan
4/5
Quite good, a bit melancholic
LL Cool J
3/5
Not super impressed apart from one or two songs.
Sonic Youth
1/5
Why so much random guitar distortion? Why the voices so far away? Sounds like a demo or live recording. Not really my thing I guess.
Hugh Masekela
4/5
Really nice start. Overall beautiful, especially Ninawa. Towards the end more "fanfare" and other music. Doesn't really fit the album.
Mike Ladd
1/5
Not very good
Deee-Lite
3/5
Bit out of tune, but the first few songs are quite fun. Then some tracks like smile on, ESP are a bit boring. Groove is in the heart is a classic of course!
Waylon Jennings
3/5
Easy listening
Otis Redding
5/5
Very lovely
Gene Clark
4/5
Nice album. Some tracks a bit long. Reminded me of Crosby Stills Nash & Young but even more country style.
Beck
2/5
Started off quite nice but after most tracks were annoying.
Leonard Cohen
5/5
A bit melancholic, but overall very pleasant to listen to.
Cream
3/5
Not bad but also somewhat boring. Wouldn't mind on the background though.
Suede
3/5
Not really my cup of tea but not too bad
The Beach Boys
4/5
Pretty fun album. Would never have recognized it as a Beach Boys album if I hadn't known!
Jimi Hendrix
3/5
A bit cartoonish. Little Wing is a great song and the other tracks are okay.
Def Leppard
3/5
This was ok. Like Bon Jovi, but not as good.
Nick Drake
5/5
Pretty pretty
Eminem
2/5
Kinda fun but also a bit long and vague
Kraftwerk
3/5
Unique, but a bit boring
The Divine Comedy
3/5
I liked how this is like a theatre show in an album. Didn't like many of the songs too much though.
Elis Regina
3/5
Quite pleasant
Orbital
2/5
Is it a dance fest, am I playing Sims, or is this a happy hardcore party? Definitely a bit too crazy for me to listen to during work.
Led Zeppelin
3/5
Frank Zappa
3/5
Bit intense and experimental, but not bad
The Cramps
2/5
Not bad but wouldn't listen again.
The Yardbirds
4/5
Quite enjoyed this album. First accidentally had a very long version. I like how the actual album is short and sweet.
D'Angelo
4/5
Smooth
Paul Simon
4/5
Quite pleasant to listen to
Fiona Apple
3/5
Quite easy listening, though not amazing.
Van Morrison
5/5
Really love this album
Talking Heads
3/5
It's ok but a bit too hysterical at times. Some classics of course though.
Talking Heads
3/5
It's slightly more enjoyable than 77 but wouldn't put it on again any time soon probably.
Steely Dan
4/5
Enjoyed this!
Moby
3/5
The start was quite good, then a bit of a mix bag
Dr. John
3/5
Pretty weird album, but also weirdly not that bad.
Kate Bush
3/5
The first few tracks were quite nice. A lot better than her other album. The final few tracks were a bit too folky or weird for me.
Queen
4/5
Some great and some ok songs
James Brown
3/5
Quite nice little album. Not sure if I'd listen again though
The Verve
3/5
This album felt a bit average if not below. Bittersweet symphony is great though!
George Michael
4/5
Some beautiful songs on this album. I wasn't a huge fan of some of the more 80s style songs in the middle, but the others definitely make up for them.
PJ Harvey
2/5
Well.. someone found out their electric guitar amplifier has a distort knob. The music isn't awful but definitely not my thing. Too noisy.
Portishead
2/5
I kind of like the experimental feel about it, but at some point it gets a bit annoying.
Public Enemy
3/5
This album was pretty intense - as expected. It's not bad though.
The Velvet Underground
4/5
This is a great album. A shame they put two slightly annoying tracks on it:
The murder mystery
What goes on - The guitar hurt my ears!
The Smiths
3/5
Not bad. Didn't listen much to the lyrics, but melodically quite enjoyable. 3.5 I'd say but rounding down because I'd rather play their other album.
David Bowie
4/5
Some classics on this album. The other tracks were pretty good too.
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
3/5
Quite interesting and cool musically. Didn't do that much for me though.
Crosby, Stills & Nash
3/5
It's a nice little album with some good songs (e.g. Marrakesh Express), but I didn't find it spectacularly good otherwise. In my opinion they overdid the choir sound a bit.
The Smiths
4/5
Pleasant album. Bit weird lyrics sometimes. Would listen again.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
3/5
Not bad to listen to, but probably wouldn't put it on again.
John Cale
4/5
Quite pleasant, not sure if I'd put it on again any time soon but wouldn't mind listening again.
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
2/5
The start and the idea behind this album is somewhat fun. It was considerably experimental. I couldn't finish listening and gave up after about 30 minutes. Perhaps I would've finished listening in a different mood. It's too long for this kind of noise.
Ray Charles
4/5
Very enjoyable album with some great classics.
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
3/5
This was quite fun for a while, but it just.doesn't.stop..
Billie Holiday
5/5
This album just brings a crackling fireplace wherever you go. Very lovely album, mostly because her voice is very pleasant.
Aphex Twin
4/5
Some quite fun tracks on this album. Some recognisable as they've been used as the music for other songs as well. Doubting between 3 and 4 stars as it got quite heavy at the end and I didn't really want to continue listening. Giving it 4 stars because I see myself putting it on again.
3/5
A lot better than the other album on here, actually sort of enjoyable. Still, probably wouldn't listen again.
Shuggie Otis
4/5
Started off a bit slow-ish. Had a few good songs on it. I especially liked Strawberry Letter 23. The Freedom Flight song made me a bit dizzy for some reason. Giving it a 4* but I'm being quite generous.
The Stranglers
3/5
Not entirely my cup of tea but still quite fun to listen to
Anita Baker
3/5
Ok cute little album, not amazing. 3,5 but rounding down because I probably won't put it on again.
Leonard Cohen
3/5
Musically quite disappointing. The texts are ok but a bit vague. Feels like someone who's experimenting with some chords and song in their attic. Not much melodical diversity between the songs. Then one folky song in the middle and the live one near the end. Famous Blue Raincoat is quite pretty.
Overall not annoying, but also not per se a delight to me.
Prince
3/5
I did not particularly enjoy this album, but it has mostly to do that I'm not a massive Prince fan. Didn't hate it either.
David Gray
3/5
A bit too dramatic for me. Some lyrics on the cheesy side such as Sail Away. Didn't hate it but won't put it on again.
Ryan Adams
3/5
Pleasant at the beginning, then a bit sad and long winding (Nobody Girl) in the middleish. Most (but not all) of the second half of the album could've been left out IMHO.
Bob Dylan
3/5
Not his best album IMO. Started off okay, but after a while many tracks felt like they went on too long and had a bit too generic blues sound to me. Make you feel my love is quite sweet.
Suzanne Vega
3/5
Quite a nice little debut album. A bit on the boring side though.
Pink Floyd
5/5
This is a fantastic album. Not necessarily all the way from start to finish but overall it keeps my attention and runs my emotions. Good memories too!
Dusty Springfield
3/5
A bit dusty and long, but has some nice songs on it.
The Doors
4/5
Great album overall. Some tracks I wouldn't have missed, some are a bit long.
Carpenters
4/5
I was very much enjoying this album until that awful Help cover came on and then Baby It's you. Close to you is pretty cute of course. Rest of the album was ok
Fugazi
2/5
No thanks.
Various Artists
4/5
Not bad for a Christmas album
Isaac Hayes
4/5
This was quite fun. Not for everyday, but nice enough to put on again. Also the minimal amount of vocals makes it good work background music.
Pearl Jam
3/5
Some of these songs went on for too long. Or were they different ones? Hard to tell, they were all so similar..
Had expected more of this album given that it features the classic "Alive".
Rod Stewart
3/5
Not bad but slightly boring so wouldn't put it on again.
Nitin Sawhney
2/5
Don't agree with "Drum and Bass" on wiki but ok. This album started a bit like a Buddha bar album which I generally enjoy. There were some more jazzy/loungy tracks later. Then there was a really whiny song "Nadia" which made me go a bit crazy. The track after was quite pretty though.
All in all this album makes me think a little bit of cheesy-ish music at a beach club (even though the subject isn't that festive/romantic at all).
Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
3/5
The songs are ok, but they sound more like the background songs of a movie. It's nice as background music but it doesn't feel like it deserves that much attention.
Stevie Wonder
5/5
This album is one of my all time favourites. Great and catchy songs from start to finish. I think I have a slight preference for Volume 2, especially because some of the tracks on Volume 1 are just slightly too long sometimes. Nevertheless, both are great.
Radiohead
4/5
Really good album, some classics of course. Couple of tracks I didn't like as much. Hard to decide between a 4 and a 5, but want to reserve a 5 for albums I like (nearly) all songs.
David Holmes
3/5
"Wow look at us, we're so cool" is the sentiment I had with this album. It wasn't too bad and the sound effects are ok. Quite intense, not necessarily in a bad way. Not for everyday listening IMO.
George Michael
5/5
What a lucky week: Stevie Wonder, Radiohead, and now George Michael. This album is great from start to finish. Happy songs and sad songs. All so beautiful; his voice makes you melt.
The Gun Club
3/5
Another punk album on this list.. Not as bad as some of the others, but also didn't particularly enjoy this album. Would say 2.5..
Blur
3/5
I quite like the funny lyrics at the start, as well as the peek into British culture. After that, the songs kind of went into a blur (pun intended) and overall this album just doesn't leave you with a feeling that it was all that. Perhaps it was because it was too long?
Depeche Mode
3/5
Enjoy the silence was good. The rest of the album wasn't bad, and I can see how people like it. I didn't mind it but also wasn't particularly drawn by this album, I found it a bit boring. I guess it's not really my style.
The Smashing Pumpkins
2/5
Rock for (by?) angry teens? Not particularly the good kind imho. Didn't finish listening because I got a bit bored/annoyed with it. Definitely not Smashing.
Julian Cope
3/5
Not bad. Way more enjoyable than expected. Not sure if it was good enough to play again.
k.d. lang
3/5
This album is ok as far as country goes. It sounded like she just about couldn't reach some of the tones.
Led Zeppelin
4/5
Some great songs, some ok songs
Sister Sledge
5/5
Really great album, pretty much start to finish. Wasn't the greatest fan of some of the slower songs in between, but liked that it was generally swinging and upbeat :)
Queen
3/5
Felt quite noisy/messy. To be honest, I also wasn't in the mood for this. It's clear why you hardly ever hear any of the songs on this album.
Elton John
3/5
This album contains some good songs, but overall it feels very long and the songs start to blur because of their melodic similarity.
The Sabres Of Paradise
1/5
It's like the background music for a game. Really boring to listen to and sounds like it's just repeating similar songs.
Songhoy Blues
3/5
This started with very good energy. However, soon it became more of the same and ultimately as an album it somewhat bored me.
Michael Jackson
5/5
Don't stop till you get enough already started playing in my head when I saw the album cover. Really love this album, really good energy.
Dwight Yoakam
2/5
Nothing special. Didn't finish because after a few songs it's more of the same.
Daft Punk
3/5
Some nice tracks, but got a bit annoying towards the end (e.g. rock & roll).
David Crosby
3/5
Not bad, quite nice and tranquil. Perhaps a bit boring and weird ending.
Jerry Lee Lewis
4/5
Pretty good. The crowd must've gone wild at this concert. Very swinging.
Sarah Vaughan
5/5
Lovely live album. Especially funny if you listen to some of the lyrics that are just her singing that she doesn't know. Gives it a very intimate touch.
Cornershop
3/5
This album was a weird mix. I liked some of the songs, but many were a bit experimental. I guess I didn't hate it.
John Prine
4/5
Quite nice album. Had a good vibe.
Soul II Soul
2/5
A bit boring. Impressive if some of the samples are original though.
OutKast
5/5
I was tempted to give this 5 stars as at an instant. I love this album, especially The Love Below.
When listening, I realised I didn't know the middle/ending part of Speakerboxxx that well, because I usually turn it off around Bamboo. I do think Speakerboxxx has an amazing energy at the start, and I also like the last song. The Love Below is great from start to finish, and therefore, I usually put on that CD rather than the Speakerboxxx one. The second CD is great melodically, it's cool, makes you feel like a boss, and finally, it's also pretty funny!
I remember my dad buying this album when I was a teenager and making a copy of both CDs (including the album covers) to play in my room with the bass turned to max. Especially Roses has such a great bass. Good memories.
Overall I'd give this album a high 4.5 to 5 stars, because the Speakerboxxx album lacks a bit in the middle/end part. 5 stars it is, because overall both CDs combined just are an amazing experience!
Louis Prima
3/5
A bit old fashioned but was ok.
Bee Gees
2/5
Who knew the people behind Saturday Night Fever could make such a boring album.
Nirvana
5/5
This is such a classic. Really love this album. So much energy! Only song I don't like is Territorial Pissings.
Donovan
3/5
Some ok, but many too long and boring
Solange
2/5
Not super annoying but also didn't particularly enjoy it. A bit boring and doesn't belong in this list imho.
Billy Joel
3/5
Started off well. Then many songs that sounded like intros to a soap TV series. Some songs were decent. Didn't like the last 2 really. Overall not an amazing album.
Heaven 17
3/5
This was like Depeche mode, but just not as good. And I'm already but a massive depeche mode fan, bar a few songs.
Prefer not to listen again, but not terrible.
Stevie Wonder
5/5
This is one of the most beautiful albums ever made. As one of my dad's favourite albums I've heard it many many times.
I can't put my finger on it, but somehow it hits my emotions quite badly and therefore I find it hard to listen to this album frequently.
Billy Bragg
3/5
Didn't mind it but wouldn't put on again.
Dead Kennedys
1/5
Ulgh, another Punk Album with hardly any musical variation within the album and between other punk albums. Viva las vegas was the only fun song to listen too, but that's a cover..
Neu!
2/5
Nah, ok start; bit spacy to my taste. Then it just got worse. The best thing about this album is that it isn't that long luckily.
The Stone Roses
2/5
This album started off ok but quickly went onto pretentious indie hipster sounds. I was genuinely annoyed by some of the songs on this album. Many went on too long and this album felt too long in general. To my surprise it was only 60 minutes?
Can you also imagine how stupid this guy is that he meant to draw a French flag, but actually drew the Dutch flag! Would've given it 3 stars but deducting one for that too.
The Jesus And Mary Chain
3/5
Quite a pleasant album to listen to. Quite liked the softness, but not boringness of it. Wasn't blown away though. Contemplating between 3 and 4, veering slightly more to a 3 at the moment.
Ghostface Killah
2/5
Some ok tracks and didn't hate it but overall a bit generic and didn't love it. So 2.5 stars? Afraid it'll round down to a 2.
Ian Dury
5/5
I love most of the songs on this record.. a lot! Didn't like Blackmail Man.. at all! Really hard to decide between a 4 and a 5, but giving it 5 because it's quite original.
Bill Evans Trio
4/5
Jazzy jazz.
Nick Drake
3/5
Quite quaint and cute, but a little too melancholic for me.
Massive Attack
3/5
I didn't mind it but also never really understand what the massive fuzz is about. It's o.k.
James Taylor
3/5
Quite enjoyable. Didn't blow me away though.
Rush
2/5
I found it a bit boring.
Wire
1/5
Another boring punk album
Prince
2/5
I found most of these songs a bit vague and boring. To be honest, some of the songs at the beginning I would've liked a lot more if they didn't sound like Prince kept the microphone a meter away from him and if the general mixing had been better. Also all songs on this album could've been cut in half as they just keep repeating the same minute over and over for 6 minutes each.
Pantera
2/5
This didn't make my ears blead. I liked the end boss kind of vibe. But the grunting is too much so I just skipped to the end after the second song. Which was surprisingly calm!(ish)
The Jam
3/5
This was ok. I didn't have any really positive or negative feelings with this album.
Beatles
5/5
One of their best albums. I love all the quirky songs on this except the last one. Love to you also isn't my thing (see the pattern?). Still overall 5* for this magnificent piece of history!
The Crusaders
3/5
I quite liked the songs themselves, especially Street Life (didn't know Randy Crawford wasn't the original!) but they each went on for a bit too long.
CHIC
3/5
I knew most of these songs and I think they're quite amusing. They are quite repetitive and streched out though. I don't think I'd listen to this again as an album.
Mekons
3/5
It's o.k.
Aerosmith
3/5
Some good songs but overall as an album it didn't really do it for me. Didn't bother me either but won't listen to it again.
ABBA
3/5
I like some of the absolute bangers on here, but overall this album bores me a bit.
Antony and the Johnsons
2/5
About as depressing (melancholical) as the cover would suggest. I was about to turn it off after the first track, but it got a bit better. I didn't really like the effect of a "skipping CD" on the second track and lightly on others. Overall personally didn't enjoy it all that much unfortunately.
Santana
5/5
Very lovely. Samba Pa Ti is beautiful.
Morrissey
3/5
It was ok but a bit mopey
My Bloody Valentine
1/5
First song started awful, then maybe slight recognition kicked in that stockholm syndrome and it seemed like an ok song? Turned it off at the 4th track, I like my ears too much for this.
Elliott Smith
3/5
It's a pretty good album, but it's not entirely my thing.
Nick Drake
3/5
It has some ok songs but generally a bit too melancholic and a bit lack of.. everything. Some pretty songs. By far not as good as Bryter Later, doesn't even come close.
Manic Street Preachers
1/5
"Everything must go" you can just chuck out this album.. didn't make my ears blead but I didn't enjoy the wall of distorted guitar and shoutsinging.
Lou Reed
3/5
Very mixed feelings about this album. When I was distracted it was ok as background music, but not very noticeable. When you listen to it properly, it's pretty, but also utterly depressing. The Bed is very beautiful, but also quite messed up. Might listen again if I feel like sobbing.
Pixies
3/5
I didn't like the beginning so much, too punky. Later on it got a bit better, but didn't really grab me. Overall not too annoyed so will give benefit of the doubt and a 3 star instead of 2.
Janet Jackson
3/5
It's all right
Britney Spears
3/5
The first two songs are pretty good but the rest quite boring
The Smiths
3/5
Classic Smiths album. Bit torn between 3 and 4..
The Rolling Stones
3/5
It was all right but nothing much special on this album IMO
Tito Puente
3/5
This was quite fun, but after a while it felt like more of the same
Emmylou Harris
2/5
Didn't enjoy this very much, but didn't make my ears blead
Red Hot Chili Peppers
4/5
Some great songs and a few ok songs
Air
4/5
I remembered this album to be a bit boring besides "all I need". Must say I quite liked listening to it again after quite some time. Not an album I'll play regularly, but certainly wouldn't mind listening again.
Tears For Fears
4/5
Quite good album. Not for every moment, a bit intense at times.
Buena Vista Social Club
5/5
One of my all time favourites.
2Pac
4/5
I quite enjoyed a few songs on this album. The first 3/4 is surprisingly melodius and the lyrics are good. The last few tracks were a bit longer and a bit more monotonous rap songs which from a musical perspective didn't really appeal to me. Torn between a 3 and a 4, but will give benefit of the doubt.
Guns N' Roses
4/5
This is a pretty good album with some absolute bangers. You can turn it off after sweet child o mine. Bit too many similar fillers.
John Martyn
3/5
Wasn't blown away by this album, but didn't hate it either.
Stereo MC's
2/5
I didn't really enjoy this. Each song was very repetitive within itself, e.g. just 5 words repeated over and over.
Radiohead
2/5
Unfortunately, this isn't my Radiohead album. I'm not sure what it is, it's perhaps too experimental, depressing, dystopian. We're used to that from Radiohead to some degree, but this album just doesn't hit the balance right for me.
Pulp
3/5
Definitely not as good as Different Class. I thought the first few tracks were quite good. Then, like so many albums, it just seemed to drag on forever.
Scott Walker
2/5
Not awful but a bit pretentious sounding
Earth, Wind & Fire
3/5
Pretty good. Bit mixed. May need to listen again.
Van Halen
4/5
Quite liked the energy on this album. Got slightly repetitive overall but it's quite short so let's commend him for that.
SZA
1/5
Ulgh. Then I noticed a song with Travis Scott (might've been computer generated voice as well). No.
A Tribe Called Quest
3/5
Pretty good, but don't think I'll listen to the complete album again
1/5
No
Fugees
3/5
Pretty decent album, though a lot of covers that weren't necessarily better than the original. "The Beast" sounded pretty racist?
System Of A Down
2/5
I wouldn't say this is for me but it was less worse than I thought. In the end I was able to make it through the whole album, but barely.
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
1/5
Every time I thought it was going to get pretty decent they ruined it with a bunch of random noise.
Sebadoh
1/5
There was maybe one song on this album I liked. The rest was boring at best, complete rubbish at worst.
Adele
2/5
This album could've done with just the hits. The "Lovesong" cover really ruined it for me. So cheesy.. The songs that weren't released as singles were too whiny. Was going to give this album 3 stars but Lovesong was the straw that as an album it's really not passable besides the, admittedly many, good singles.
Aretha Franklin
4/5
Quite a nice little album. Nothing too special though but could see myself listening to it again.
R.E.M.
4/5
Better than expected given other albums I know by R.E.M. would say about 3.5 but giving benefit of the doubt and a 4
Buck Owens
4/5
Nice little country album
Duran Duran
3/5
Pretty good with an absolute banger Save a Prayer. I don't see myself listening to it again though because it was in the end somewhat monotonous.
The Zombies
4/5
Pretty good! Definitely some great songs, but also a few that felt a bit like fillers.
The Young Rascals
4/5
Quite enjoyed this album. Probably won't listen again often, but was good enough to listen again to.
Weather Report
3/5
Pretty good
Arctic Monkeys
4/5
Quite a good album. Some songs make it a bit monotonous, but some are very good to make up for it.
Wilco
4/5
Quite liked all the songs (although they were a bit melancholical) except "I'm the man who loves you".
Bobby Womack
4/5
Quite jazzy and enjoyable!
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
3/5
This album definitely had some good and unique songs on it but on the whole I don't see myself listening to it again
Elbow
3/5
Definitely a few good songs, but some others were just not good enough to get this album 4 stars. 3 stars it is..
Kanye West
1/5
Fuck Kanye
Dennis Wilson
2/5
This started off pretty good but got very very whiny in the middle! Was about to stop it but got slightly better again at You and I, but not great.
The Band
3/5
Yeah this was ok, but it didn't leave me longing for more of it.
Run-D.M.C.
2/5
I guess some of the songs weren't too bad but overall this album didn't really do it for me. "Dumb Girl" more like "Dumb Song"
Jamiroquai
3/5
I didn't use to like Jamiroquai at all. I must say, this album pleasantly surprised me. However, towards the end, the songs got longer, more repetitive, until we finally reached the final track, which was plain awful.
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
5/5
One of the best albums ever made. All songs are pretty, Woodstock is cheerful, Our House so very beautiful, and 4+20 years so tender it can make me cry.
Cat Stevens
3/5
I had expected better from Cat Stevens, but then after a few tracks I remember that even his most famous songs are quite whiney. I also didn't like the sudden loud bits for literally no reason. Felt like I had to change the volume a few times. I guess 2 stars but I'll give it 3 for the few better songs.
Lou Reed
5/5
Start to finish brilliant album. Makes you feel mellow.
The Mars Volta
1/5
No
Nico
1/5
this was quite vague, not really my thing
The Pogues
3/5
This has quite a lot of (Irish) emotion in it which I like. Not really something I'd casually listen to probably.
The White Stripes
4/5
This was pretty good. Beginning better than the end, but overall good. Would say 3.5 so giving it benefit of the doubt.
Cypress Hill
3/5
Some ok songs but overall didn't fully do it for me. Didn't hate it either.
Jeff Buckley
3/5
A bit of constipation, a bit of whine, heartbreak, some shouting, what does this album not have.. a high rating from me.
Definitely some ok to good songs on there. But at eternal life I just had to stop it because it was awful.
The White Stripes
3/5
was ok but not blown away by it
Tom Waits
3/5
Interesting. Not sure if I'll listen again, but didn't dislike it.
Johnny Cash
4/5
Quite enjoyed this one!
Jane's Addiction
2/5
At the beginning I didn't hate it, but got pretty bored and annoyed with the songs later in the album until I eventually stopped listening.
Paul Simon
4/5
It was all right, but didn't blow me away
Aimee Mann
1/5
Listened to a few songs in the background and don't feel like I need to listen further.
Pink Floyd
5/5
Start to end great album
The Pogues
3/5
Bit whiny but ok
Richard Hawley
4/5
This was pretty good. I felt like it was a bit Sinatra style, perhaps that feelint was enhanced by the cover. It's a bit melancholic to play at any occasion, but would be able to listen to again.
Pet Shop Boys
3/5
I love the Pet shop boys, but this album did feel a little bit boring and repetitive at times. Had a few good songs though!
Isaac Hayes
2/5
I had mixed feelings about this album. It wasn't bad but all the talking made it feel quite pretentious. All in all wasn't really my thing.
John Coltrane
4/5
pretty good
David Bowie
4/5
I can see (hear) why the songs that made the "best of" album did, and the others did not. The other songs weren't bad, but not great. Still 4 stars for the three great songs on this album.
Stereolab
3/5
I didn't hate it but wouldn't put it on again. Bit low quality/vague and repetitive within songs. Song's weren't bad overall, but not great either.
Beatles
5/5
A little crazy but has many really amazing songs
Dolly Parton
4/5
Great album. Tails a bit off towards the end, but strong beginning. Listened twice accidentally, would listen again:)
Radiohead
4/5
Very unique album. A bit intense but very good
Faust
2/5
Bit boring but not obnoxious
Michael Jackson
4/5
It's pretty clear to me why I didn't know some of the songs. This could've been a 5 star if they had left off track 3 till 6 (including). Other songs are very good.
Beatles
5/5
One of the best albums ever made
Norah Jones
3/5
Apart from a few songs the album felt a bit dull, like many of the tracks were just filler.
Still 3 stars because don't know why is a great song.
Eagles
3/5
Couple of good songs, others not so bad but a bit whiny
Dire Straits
4/5
Very good album, tails off a bit after sultans of swing
Femi Kuti
4/5
I love a good afrobeat from time to time
Meat Loaf
3/5
Didn't hate it, but wouldn't play it again. One or two good songs. Some funny lyrics.
Beatles
5/5
What's not to love about this album? It's near perfect that's what it is. The last song is a bit rapy, even John Lennon didn't like it. Otherwise a favourite!
Fleetwood Mac
5/5
Great album, dreams is a beautiful song
Traffic
3/5
I liked where this was going in the beginning, but in the end I wasn't blown away.
Dusty Springfield
4/5
Enjoyed this album. Just short of 5* because it's slightly boring at times
N.W.A.
3/5
It's a classic. I guess half the album pretty good, but they could've left a fair few tracks off.
Coldplay
5/5
One of my all time favourites. Love to play this album slightly too loud. I feel it's quite intense in a good way
Al Green
4/5
Can't really go wrong with Al Green
Common
2/5
Annoying
Queens of the Stone Age
2/5
Didn't really enjoy this but not awful enough for 1*
Christina Aguilera
3/5
Some good songs but mostly feels like fillers
Fats Domino
4/5
Pretty good, bluesy jazz, not sure if I'd listen again. Would give 3.5, but because I might listen again I'll up it to 4*
Wu-Tang Clan
3/5
I think this album has a lot of historical significance. It's not really my genre, but I can see why people like it. I like tearz, the rest not so much and wouldn't listen again.
R.E.M.
3/5
Classic R.E.M., not bad but after a while it all sounds the same, the last song could've just as well been another song with different lyrics
Beck
3/5
Started quite nice and most of the songs not bad but after listening too long starts to be a bit sleepy or even depressing.
