great old time jazz that actually carries themes throughout most of the piece.

Music almost as strange as the album art. Good for work on TTT.... :P

Good voice, I enjoyed Fascinating Rhythm. Overall this album keeps reminding me of her far-to-often-replayed christmas albums though. Not quite what I wanted in September.

I like the beats under this but I could do without many of the vocals. "A Secret Life" and "Come with Us" could make good muzak for a budget haunted house. "New feet" might be the strangest song on the album.

Very slow, almost all vocals. Not sure I can pay enough attention to keep track of the lyrics.

Enjoy the uptempo pace of Mandela. Not so much enjoying Sameeda, a bit to much of "true jazz" style and I am so lost as to where this melody is going.

This sounds more like noise than anything else to me.

I enjoy Birdland, some of the others were a bit strange

Kind of an eclectic album. I feel like I would have enjoyed it better if I was sitting at home in the 80's playing it on a record player. But at work it was hard to follow and enjoy

I thought it was kind of bland and couldn't really focus on it.

Album was fine. Seemed kind of generic in some places, but there were a few that I enjoyed.

I liked a lot of the upbeat happier songs. Some of the slow stuff was hard for me to enjoy at work.

not a big fan of the first few. The lyrics do rhyme and there is a story line through at least some of the songs. "Where the wild roses grow" and "Curse of Millhaven" are better. The latter being more upbeat.

I somehow always forget how strange the Talking Heads can be

Couple good songs, but a lot of the rest was really slow and kind of sad

Meh. Started alright and then seemed to descend into random noise.

Upbeat, easy to listen too. Kind of ended up in the background. Not enough cowbell for a group called the "Pet Shop Boys" though.

Yikes, 2 full hours. It contains a few good tunes, but there are a lot that seem more like the lead singer needs to stop smoking before he loses his voice.

I was OK with this initially, but as it went along the songs just didn't sit well.

I forgot how long some of these are.

Strange music, but also kind of fun.

I didn't find it very memorable even on the second listen.

Sex Machine may be the last song I listen to on this album.

started out really strong. Actually don't mind the fact that it is live, harder to tell than many "live" albums.

I enjoyed this album. A refreshing difference with instrumentals compared to a lot of the recent vocal heavy tracks.

Is this anything other than someone yelling over very generic guitar riffs? Oh wait, it included a long drum solo. Now I'm definitely totally impressed.

Radiohead is just not my vibe. I feel like I only ever hear about 1 or 2 of their songs and whenever I try another song, I just loose interest immediately. I can get behind the jazzy bit in "Life In a Glasshouse" because it's not just a solo whinefest.

Started promising, but now I realize why I haven't heard their version of No satisfaction....

I still enjoy this album, although not to quite the same extent as when it first came out.

I like Neil Young's work, but this wasn't my favorite of his albums

I am very amused but also confused. This sounds like something Ian would listen too. Overall it was fun background music, but I don't think I would play it with anyone around.

I guess for influential, this is an influential album because it lead to the next one. But considering how successful "Out of Time" was, I'm surprised this one is selected.

He sings well, but it is hard to listen to this much dramatic music.

Meh, it was relaxing, I could see listening to it in my grandparnets house while sipping tea and it would be better than the alternative. But it's kind of a downer.
