BeckSecond song is great! Overall a bit weird and maybe too much going on?
Second song is great! Overall a bit weird and maybe too much going on?
Really not my genre. Could be worse though…
Just brilliant
Nothing special
Cool, a bit repetitive
Some good songs, a bit much at times
Went through the whole album without realising it, amazing listen!
Not something I would ever listen to again, I may be anglocentric though
Nothing exciting at all
As expected
Fun listen, nothing stands out though…
Makes you happy and has that oldies nostalgia
R.E.M. at their absolute peak
How can you even call this art
Fun to listen to and exactly what you would want from a punk album
Nothing special, not awful but too long, would not go back to it
Blindingly good
Scenic and makes you forget about the world around you
Beautiful in a way only the 70s could be
Good, not my cup of tea at all times
A bit tiring
Close to being a 4 star… a nice mix between nirvana and radiohead
Not particularly fun to listen to
Very good just not an album I could listen to often
Fun listen!
It's ok just a load of sound to be honest
What a great listen!
Might be a bit boring and monotonous but it has some good concepts that work quite well
Some good tracks... could have been a 4 if some of the weird ones weren't included
Power to the union!
Who knew that latin and psychedelic would work so well together?!
Simple, happy, velvety
Not bad
This album makes you feel like you're sat on your own next to a lake on a hot summer's day sipping at a herbal tea
Some really good vocals but lack of variety in the songs
When the USA wasn't bombing other countries or orchestrating fascist military coups in the Americas, it produced pretty good music...
This I did not expect, the album explores and merges so many different ideas and genres successfully, delivering you what by all means is a masterpiece of music.
Anyone who gives this a 5 is a pretentious fuck
Can't go wrong
Good listen but did she really do anything that original? The best songs were not even hers
Nothing terrible just didn't enjoy it really
He's a nonce
Didn't expect to like this as much as I did, however it did go on for a bit too long to the point where it became repetitive
Classic early 60s but nothing mind blowing
Clearly fallen from his peak but still decent
Felt like I heard the same song 15 times
A lot of people had already done what Joan attempted in this album, and a lot more successfully
Nothing outstanding but a good album
True music
Good 60s sound but nothing exceptional
You get what you expect, quality varies (you can tell some songs were written in 2 minutes the lyrics are laughable)
Coldplay is coldplay theyve done well but don't deserve the level of praise they've had
Good vibes but thats about it
Pogues doing what they do best, jolly and sorrowful at the same time but a bit tiring at times
Come on Janis, it's not fair on the rest of us
Good uk rock, started off strong... became mediocre by the end
Not a bad listen, just so mediocre...(track 4 is good)
I can't say I particularly enjoyed it, also some of the tracks were so annoying
Kinky
Almost a 4 but there was nothing prticularly special
Not sure how to feel about this? It's relaxing and exotic but I have no idea what is influential about it?
Complete bs but so funny
Had me dancing along for 80 minutes
Out of context, 4 stars, but knowing they were copying exactly what the beatles were doing a few years earlier I can't give more than 3. Good listen though
Feel good ambience of a mid 70s album with a typical romance storyline
Very original, opened my eyes to how he exploited other musicians without giving them credits. The 4 stars are for those who actually wrote the music.
Not sure where all the hate comes from, a bit simple but fun listen
Just shy of perfection, loved it
Travis hold a dear place in my heart
Handful of tracks are FINE, others are just awful. If not for the former, would have been an easy 1 star
3.5 but ill give it a 4 because of Fever
Reminds me of late 50s instrumental surf rock but redisigned
It's shit
Not something I'd choose to listen but pleasant
Great rock music with some rock and roll hints
Crap
It was okay, but cool that it was in the 70s, sounds a lot more recent
Very interesting very different, had it been a little less repetitive it would have been a 5 star
A lot better than I expected!
This is what rap should have stayed at
It's a pisstake but funny listen
A true performance
What a great live performance
Pretty generic, not bad
Wonderful sound, wonderful voice
A bit boring
Not sure what that was, didn't love it but it was certainly something
Okay, a bit boring
Very original
Nice late 60s sound
They never dissapoint
Some good songs, overall a bit boring
Why couldn't music stay like this??
It was quite different for its time, not sure I love it. Liked some parts though, I'm feeling generous today
Very boring
Quite impressive, not really my genre though
Good stuff
I liked it a lot, not particularly original but good
I liked it a lot, not particularly original but good
Got that 80s rock sound I love and is surprisingly versatile if you pay attention
A new wave mix of the Cranberries and Radiohead
Relaxing but not the most memorable
Good mix of genres, but a lot of tracks could have been avoided, there is a definite variety of quality
Geniunely impressed me, never heard anything like it... and you know what? It was good! 4 stars just because of how different it is
3.5 it was good not sure about lyrics
Very very good
Some good songs, others not so memorable
First half was brilliant, the second contained some questionable quality rock and vocals
Cool and original but not my genre
Don't normally like this kind of music, but this is very original and I like the narration touch;)
Something very original and eerie about this
Such a fresh album, like the concept a lot, almost 5 stars
They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and oh my does Blondie make a banging breakfast. I'm still waiting for my lunch and dinner however...
Left me wanting
The first half is a let down, the second half is amazing
Decent, better on the second listen
So good!!!
Not impressive
Quite decent actually!
There's worse out there but I really don't like this type of commercial crap
Actually very good!
For the first time I've actually been impressed by hip hop
Good but nothing special
What else was I gonna give this
I understand where the sentiment behind the album comes but most of the messaging is everything I hate in music. It paved the path for the disgusting stuff the industry promotes nowadays.
Good music
Classics
One good song doesn't make it a good album
4.5 so close to being a 5, such a well rounded album
It was interesting, sometimes a bit hard to listen to
Some tracks were good, some not so much, can't give it more than a 3
Some good tracks, digestible by anyone
not great not bad, not memorable
There is a lot to say about this album. Is it all good? No! But it certainly possesses some interesting elements that will push you beyond your comfort zone. I did get into some of the songs, others not so much. I like how little this album doesn't try to make itself likeable.
Not something I'd normally listen to, but I enjoyed it! That being said, I wouldn't rush to go back to it
If I went to a party, and someone played this album, I'd want to be invited back
The reviews seem to be either very good or very bad. Bad, Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal are all good tracks, but the rest of the album genuinely feels like the B track of Thriller. Plus, he's a nonce.
What an album: great lyrics, great songs, great artists! Some tracks were felt a bit repetitive, and this is definitely not my favourite genre, but other than thst I can't fault it. 4.2
I've always loved this kind of music and this album is no exception. However some tracks are quite "bland", they really don't try anything special. 3.7
Interesting, daring, but I wouldn't go back to it. Some tracks were actually very good, others were forgettable. 2.9
Sounds exactly like something a Trump-voting redneck would put on before going to bed with his wife, only to finish just before getting to "Jump".
Flamboyant, entertaining, nostalgic, breathtaking... Queen at the start of their absolute peak. How can you fault this? (I can, and I will: the fucking song about the car) 4.7
His voice and mystic lyrics were grabbing, but it lacked any showstopper songs. 3.6
Using old and new elements to create a fresh, fun sound in an era where music was going in a completely different direction. I see what you did and I like it. 3.8
I gave this a chance, I really did, but seriously, what the fuck is wrong with him. Half the songs I had to skip cause they were just disgusting and cringy. The only reason why this album isn't a 1 is thanks to Stan... what a brilliant track. Other than that it's very hard to find anything good to say about this album.
Basic 60s yankee album, nothing special considering the rest of what was being released at the time. 2.4
Wannabe cool, ends up being cring. There are a couple good songs but they're covers. 2.4
I enjoyed this, I don't normally listen to acoustic albums. That being said, it's no more than background music. 3.4
Cool, groovy, fun! Kinda 1 dimensional? 3.9
Impressive what he's done with such a simple concept. Such an easy listen, would go back to it! 3.8
A true gem of music. Combines old influences yet manages to give them a fresh spin. Beautiful voice, powerful lyrics and great use of backup vocals (don't see this too often). This album truly has no weak links and has several masterpieces. I can't rate it any lower than 4.7
