1001 Albums Summary

Really loved all the tracks on this album - some of which I'd never heard before... Such virtuoso instrumentalists - a guitar act to aspire to.

A surprise to hear this old chestnut but a great listen. I don't think I'll be re-listening very often but I thoroughly enjoyed remembering this album.

I enjoyed the tracks I already knew - for nostalgic reasons, I guess. The ones I didn't remember seemed to be for good reason...

I don't think this album benefitted from concentrated listening... OK for background music but not my fave.

Some full-on favourites from a by-gone age. Great to re-visit this once-favourite album.

Truly one of my favourite albums. Got the vinyl version back in the early 80's and know each and every track. I haven't listened to it for years so it was an absolute treat to be reminded of early years with my lover (now husband of 40 years!!)

Catchy rhythms which I enjoyed but probably not ideal in the work environment!!

I did listen to the whole album but I don't think it will be on my playlist.

I'd forgotten how good Taylor Swift's lyrics are. I really enjoyed this while album. Some of her best are on it.

Not for me. They felt like pot boilers and I didn't like this album at all.

Strangely, this album grew on me as I listened to it (having thought initially I couldn't bear to hear the whole thing). Maybe listening is like tasting? You need to try a new flavour several times before the get to like it?

Such an old favourite album. Loved listening to it - little head bobs at work!! Singalong time.

Loved listening to this album. Rumours has always been a staple so this was a great addition to my Fleetwood Mac experience.

I feel biased towards this album because of Iggy Pop, but didn't enjoy it.

Mixed reaction to your album. Some tracks made me want to dance - others didn't catch my attention.

Absolutely love this album - so much so that Landslide was played at my daughter's funeral... And the other tracks still manage to lift my spirits, which they have done since I was listening to Rumours at school.

So much energy... And lyrics in the case of Circle Jerks! I didn't think I knew the band but I had definitely heard and enjoyed "Beverly Hills" before. It took me back to my teenage years and I loved it.

Not my cup of tea but glad to have my listening expanded.

I thought I looked this album more than 3 stars but a proper listen to it was sadly a bit disappointing

Lovely old stuff. I knew more than I expected to considering I have never chosen to listen to Al Green ever before.

It's exciting, lovely music. Not what I'd sit and listen to usually, but I bet it was fantastic live.

I now know why people fall in love with Finley Quaye music. What a lovely album.

Unmemorable!

So many great tracks that I hadn't realised were by Steely Dan! I really enjoyed this album. An oldie but a goodie.

Absolutely brilliant album. I loved everyb track and recognised a surprisingly high number of them (considering it was from 1965!).

First tracks nearly put me off the whole album but then Queen at their finest.

Never heard this before but really enjoyed it. The name "War" is misleading - it's a very cool, laid back album.

I really loved this album. What a tragic end to a short but productive life Nick Drake had. Five Leaves is a great collection of songs. Lovely lyrics and such beautiful music. I have now listened to the whole back catalogue.

Nick Cave has so much to say and does it so beautifully. This album is a treat to listen to.

Not listened to Stephen Stills on his own before but loved the echoes (pre-cursor) of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

Not for me but my Ghanaian colleague loved having Fela to listen to at work and told me all about him (Protest singer and his elderly mother effectively killed by the army when she was thrown out the window...)

Where has this album been in my life? I loved it. In fact, I think once I've become familiar with the tracks, it will rise to a 5-star album. Lovely to be introduced!
