Popular Reviews

Not being North American and having no real connection to country music, I can only say that this album is fine. It didn't bother me, and it didn't bore me either. Not going to listen to it again, though.

It is one of the albums of my life, I can't describe with words the feelings I have when I listen to it. Love the music as much as I love Kurt, Dave, Krist and Pat (and the cello player of course).

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Oct 29 2025

I have a weird relationship with Jimi Hendrix’s music: sometimes I love it and sometimes I find it repetitive and boring. This time I really enjoyed it. It’s not a masterpiece like his other records, but it has “Little Wing” and “Castles made of sand” and that’s enough for me to give it 4 stars.

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Oct 31 2025

I had so much fun listening to it, and it's definitely staying in my rotation. It feels like I'm listening to something truly historical and genuinely important.

Low-Life by New Order
Nov 03 2025

In one of the reviews I read on this site, someone said that this sounds a lot like a guy singing karaoke at a bar after a few too many drinks. I agree with that. And also: give me more of this shit.

Harvest by Neil Young

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Nov 06 2025

I was around 15 or 16 years old when I started playing guitar and taking lessons. On the first day, we learned power chord shapes while practicing "Smoke on the Water". At the end of the lesson, the teacher walked over to the printer and handed us copies of the tablature for "Good Times Bad Times". I didn't know what song it was. I was more into nu metal at the time (please forgive me, it was the mid-2000s), and I had never listened to Led Zeppelin before. I can still clearly remember getting home and playing the record. The opening guitar chords, followed by Plant singing, "In the days of my youth...", still give me chills every time I hear them. It opened up a whole new world for me: the powerful drums, the incredible guitar playing, the voice, the bass lines that hold everything together so tightly. Such an amazing album. And luckily, it was only the beginning.

It was a good jazz record until it finished and randomly started a Miles Davis song and suddenly I realised that the difference in quality is so high that I cannot rate this album more than a 3.

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse

You’re at the beach, sitting on a terrace having a drink. It’s 2 a.m. and you don’t have to work tomorrow. This record is playing in the background. Life is good.

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park

The music nerd in me cannot pretend to not like this album. Yes, is a nu-metal cliche and the rapping makes me cringe sometimes, but I hear Chester’s voice and it’s like I’m 14 again lying in my bedroom’s bed listening to the full album and enjoying it so so much. RIP Chester.

Live Through This was my only experience with Hole’s discography and Courtney Love’s music in general before listening to this record. I enjoyed it more than I expected; it has that kind of MTV vibe that makes me feel nostalgic for the good old times.

Only By The Night by Kings of Leon
Mar 25 2026

I can pretend, like most people on this site, not to like this album and give it a 1, but I actually like it. It has some good tunes.

Liam’s peak voice. Noel’s peak songwriting. Slide away still gives me chills every time I hear it.

I'm writing this review a few weeks after listening to this album. At first, I gave it 3 stars, meaning that I liked it, but it probably wouldn't make it into my rotation. Now I'm realizing that I don't remember a single song from it, not even the general vibe of the album, and that's unusual for me, even when some time has passed. So sadly, it's going down to a 2, because one of the worst things that can be said about a record is that it's forgettable.

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Jul 13 2026

If I had to choose one thing this list has given me, it would be rediscovering my love for Neil Young. This album is a masterclass in musicianship, taste, and emotional songwriting.

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Jul 14 2026

I enjoyed it but I don't think that the whole album will be in my rotation. Loved the classic tunes and the energy of the album. If I have to choose one classic rock song, The Passenger would be in the top 10.

Jul 16 2026

Maybe my continuous use of the internet has ruined my attention span, but I still think an hour and a half is too much for a record. It's hard for me to believe that anyone would sit down and listen to this album for that long without feeling bored or disconnected.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Jul 17 2026

I enjoyed it but I don't think that the whole album will be in my rotation. I LOVE the first song (mostly because of Frusciante's cover). The full album gets too cheesy for me. Anyway, musically, it's a genius work of art.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Jul 20 2026

It's a classic album that I've been listening to since my teens and it's in my rotation. Its flaw is the same one all double LPs have: it's long and the second side loses steam.

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Jul 21 2026

I enjoyed it but I don't think that the whole album will be in my rotation. Loved some tunes and the instrument arrangements, it kinda gets repetitive though. It's fine to listen to it with a historical perspective.

You Are The Quarry by Morrissey
Sep 11 2026

I enjoyed some songs, but I'm never going to listen to it again. Some tunes were fine, but I just don't connect with him and his lyrics, despite being a hardcore The Smiths fan.

Live At Leeds by The Who
Sep 14 2026

Not specially a The Who fan. I don't understand why live albums are included on this list. Good drums, though.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Sep 15 2026

I enjoyed it but I don't think it will be in my rotation. I felt surprised because I usually get tired of listening this heavy 80's stuff after a couple of songs, but this time I listened to the full album.

Sep 16 2026

Not being North American and having no real connection to country music, I can only say that this album is fine. It didn't bother me, and it didn't bore me either. Not going to listen to it again, though.

Sep 17 2026

I enjoyed it but I don't think it will be in my rotation. For me, The Prodigy is a band to listen to from time to time for the feeling and the groove. Like perfumes, just one drop is fine.

Revolver by Beatles
Sep 21 2026

If I had to make a list of the albums that have influenced me the most, this would be in my top 10, maybe even my top 5. It's just on another level: four musicians reaching the peak of their sound and songwriting. I'll be listening to this record for the rest of my life.

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Sep 22 2026

Before listening to this record, the only song I knew was "Psycho Killer." I hadn't been aware until then of how great the guitar work in this band is (my bad). I could listen to it just to focus on the guitar. It will definitely be in my rotation, and it makes me want to get deeper in their discography.

Arular by M.I.A.
Sep 23 2026

Since I started this project, there haven't been many albums that I simply couldn't finish. This is one of them. I understand what she's doing, but it's just not for me.

Youth And Young Manhood by Kings of Leon
Sep 24 2026

People who say these guys are the Southern Strokes clearly haven't listened to The Strokes. I mean, some of the tunes are fine and enjoyable, and I used to listen to them quite a lot years ago. But this record feels long and boring, even though it's only 38 minutes long.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Sep 28 2026

Sometimes I found myself cheering along with the crowd, while at other times I was getting bored. And once again, another live album on this list. I enjoyed it overall, but I don't see myself coming back to it.

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Sep 29 2026

As a huge fan of the Beatles' later period, which I find their most interesting and complex, I tend to underrate their pre-Rubber Soul albums for being more naïve and straightforward. I was so wrong. This album is so much fun to listen to, and it's packed with amazing songs (not that I'm saying anything new here). It's a wave of joy that puts me in a good mood every time I listen to it.

Dust by Screaming Trees
Sep 30 2026

I don't have anything particularly good or bad to say about this album. And that's not a good thing. It doesn't sound bad, but it's just not memorable.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
Oct 01 2026

“Hey Marge, remember when we use to make out to this hymn?”

25 by Adele
Oct 02 2026

If I picked up the phone and the first thing I heard was the opening song of this album, I'd hang up immediately.
