This is full of Boston hits! Good recommendation.
This is a time capsule of a record. The 'Memphis Sound' and strings are definitely 'of a time' and you can totally hear how she got 'Son of a Preacher Man' out of that session.
My goodness... all Stevie does is make bangers! I never through I would be into a song with the word 'zillion' in it but here we are.
Well, that was a really fun art rock album. I can completely see why they got hype early and stayed hyped.
What a solid album! It's a good one to just throw on and start grooving.
A fantastic concept album that is all killer.
10/10 classic album for a reason. The concept is really fun.
Eclectic, low-fi, poppy album that has some bangers yet takes several artistic turns.
This is a great album and Bob Dylan is a fantastic lyricist... but I don't know if I would listen to it again.
I don't know what I was expecting but an absolute banger, of which the single is only a part, was not it.
A solid collection of bangers but not exactly a cohesive album. I can see how this below a couple of minds when it first came out.
Issac Hayes is a baaaad man!
The back half is much better than the front. It sounds very suburban dad band-ish.
This is a fun little groovy album! A little Dire Straits, a little Tom Petty, a little Bob Dylan... I'm into it.
An absolute classic. It has all the elements of a country album, but just frames them so perfectly as a rock anthem.
An interesting little 80’s album that makes good use of synth. I can see the appeal.
Well, if this isn’t an album about addiction and drug use, I don’t know what it is. It’s spooky and has multiple, well placed bangers. It’s like if The Wall was super danceable.
A great encapsulation of time and place. The Dixie imagery was a little dated but otherwise, a good album.
It has a moments, but I don’t think I care for this band onto the next one!
An interesting exploration of their style. I can totally see how Simon got to Graceland from here.
The songs sound similar (awesome) and I can see so much of his influence in the music to follow.
I feel like I’m supposed to like this album but it is just OK. I can see the R&B influence and the twist these English kids used but… meh.
I can see the appeal, but I’m just not into it right now.
Oh, Mr Gaye… a reprise in the middle of the album?! You nasty.
This sounds like a very specific time in alternate pop album production.
Another album that sounds the same. They’re a couple bangers on here!
I can see the appeal in the 90s, but it sounds like a bunch of white dude singing gospel.
FANTASTIC album riiiight up until the last song.
What a weird ass concept album.
Man, the 2000s were a trip. This still has a bunch of bops but you need to separate the man from the art...
I get the Fiona Apple hype. A slight banger but the rest of the album is super solid.
Matt man, the first half of this album is just Mick Jagger saying horrible things about women. It has not aged well.
Man, those dudes have range!
That is a fun album that I will probably not listen to again.
I was not excited to listen to this album, but, man I have been missing out! It’s full of excellent songs and manages to be a concept album as well
Ok, maybe I'm into country and western but this album is full of short, sweet jams.
Solid album with a lot of range.
Classic album that everyone should listen to. I can't believe they made this with the technology of the time. Absolutely stunning.
I love the kung fu elements, but it wasn’t enough to carry the record.
A gospel/country album by British group? I will allow it.
A lot of these songs sound the same but not in a neat country western kind of way. It’s feels like they were trying to find a sound and they absolutely nailed it with one of the songs but they spent a lot of tape trying to get there.
A super fun concept album that builds to the single super nicely yet still manages to land the plane.
Great album that goes beyond the rock opera that opens it.
It's a classic album but Darlene Love and The Ronettes seem to be more heavy lifting than Phil Spector. Also, less murdering?
For a punk act, this is a pretty diverse album. I can see why it was made into a musical.
A decent album but I don't know if it is '1001 Albums' material.
Fantastic work! So much of this album slaps.
Interesting concept album with some good stuff on there! I have a soft spot for this music.
Just banger after banger!
The best part of this album was when it ended.
Do yourself a favor and look up what Tutti Fruity is about.
I hear a lot of 2000s indie in this album.
"I play this note because it fits in well with the cords I'm playing' is something I would write if I had nothing to write about. Points off even though some of their best songs are on here.
It's a fine album. Iconic first track and some solid musical stylings.
Finally, a Stones album that isn’t about how terrible women are!
It has all of the hits! What else do you want?
Absolute banger of an album. Not a bad collaboration for a South African group and Jewish kid from the northeast.
Great album! A couple of singles but a lot of great songs.
Absolute time capsule. I can’t tell if they’re being super serious or making fun of the 1950s Duop but I’m into it.
I can practically see the neon...
This sounds nothing like their lit albums, and I’m totally into it. A little like Metallica‘s first effort.
This is the Bob Dylan album I never knew I needed.
A classic soul jazz, R&B album. it deserves to be on this list.
An absolutely gorgeous album. It has some amazing rhythms and the backdrop of nuclear weapons is haunting.
I can see the promise, but I think I just don’t care for the Smashing Pumpkins.
You know that NOFX album ‘All Killer, No Filler’? This is the opposite. Lots of building and lead up but very little payoff makes it a very frustrating album to listen to.
It's a neat album but I want more out of it.
I think this is what I wanted Sgt. Pepper to sound like!
Solid R&B album with some absolute classics.
It's a 90's techno album!
A powerful, solid album. No wonder she was cast as God...
Man, the back half of this album absolutely slaps.
I hear a lot of Mustaine era Metallica in this... I'm into it!
Amazing musicianship and the level of nonsense is juuuust right. Prog Rock flute is a joy to behold.
It's fine. Kind of a Southeast Asian Phish vibe.
The best Beastie Boys album. And I don’t say that lightly.
I hope it is culturally significant because it is typical of the 80s sound. Like, there is a reason stereotypes exist.
I had no idea Ray Charles was a big band jazz front man! Absolutely nothing in that title is accurate.
I don’t know why I was reluctant to listen to this album. It is a little Springsteen-ish with a nice variety of tempos and styles.
I watched an interview with Barry Gibb where he said that The Bee Gees were bigger than The Beatles and I feel like it explains this record in their catalogue… tbh, they nailed it because this is a more complete record than Sgt. Pepper.
I don’t know why I waited so long to listen to MBV! It’s a little Pixies-ish and I’m into it.
The opening is a little weak but the rest of the album is fantastic. Strong SEC vibes…
It isn’t straight-ahead punk but I see how it got there!
Beautiful songs. I understand why this was included.
I see why it is a classic and DAMN am I feeling my feels right now!
Short but quality. Good music for chores.
It’s a good album, but don’t stand outs.
Ethereal and light. A refreshing album!
A couple of bangers on a very eclectic album.
I am very satisfied with the amount of metal on this list. The mix-in of natural sounds is pretty neat!
He may have been a bastard but he put together one hell of an album.
I think the word they’re looking for in the title is “emo”.
It’s a Dolly record but not the best one.
Now this is an Americana album! Very 70's and reminiscent of Disneyland.
Common has bars! It’s a solid record.
If you ask me to describe a 90s Brit pop album, this would be it.
This albums is hypnotic! The hits stand out but the lesser known tracks have an incredible groove.
A classic add an amazing freshman effort, but, man, some of the transitions between tracks are jarring.
There’s a couple great songs on it, but they have the same problem across all albums, which is that a two piece isn’t terribly dynamic.
Sure, it is a decent album but listening to it in the context of today is... interesting. Like how looking at the 90's in hindsight.
A couple of bangers and interesting lyrics. Dunno if I would listen to me whole thing again.
This is a dense album for such a small sounding group!
The first track is a banger but sounds nothing like the rest of the tracks! Otherwise, it is a decent album; I expect to see more Massive Attack here.
