Crown of love é bastante corny. Não achei ruim mas não me pegou também. Wake up é melhor, mas nada demais imo. Acho que o que me incomoda são os "backing vocals". O álbum é agradável de ouvir, só que não me tocou mais que isso. É meu primeiro contato com a banda, nunca tinha escutado nada deles. Não particularmente me suscitou curiosidade pra ouvir o resto, mas não desgostei de ter ouvido também. Pra um debut, é maneiro. it's fine. Duvido que vá escutar de novo.

Ouvi este álbum quando lançou em 2016, mas nunca revisitei. Tenho familiaridade com o Cohen há muitos anos mas nunca fiz um deep dive real. Minha experiência hoje com esse álbum foi bastante boa. Title song e treaty começam o álbum lindamente. Sim, é mostly um recital de poesia com música de fundo, mas there's nothing wrong with that. It's good poetry.
