Popular Reviews

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison

Liked more than I thought, but many also just ran together in my brain.

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Mar 02 2026

Not for me, but I can understand the appeal.

Suzanne Vega by Suzanne Vega
Mar 05 2026

Wish I liked it more, tbh. Some cool storytelling in the lyrics of some songs. I think I would enjoy it more if I were in a different mood.

Hearts And Bones by Paul Simon
Mar 06 2026

This is so 80’s in a way that is difficult to articulate (derogatory and non-derogatory). I would never expect songs with names and lyrics like this today… for whatever that is worth lol. Did not expect a song named “Allergies” to be a banger.

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Mar 07 2026

Hell yeah. I didn’t know some of their most iconic songs were on this album, so it was exciting to hear them. There was a lot more instrumental music than I was expecting, which was fun… but wasn’t as exciting to me.

Remedy by Basement Jaxx
Mar 08 2026

I can imagine listening to this at the cusp of Y2K in a dingy, sweaty club. Fun, dance-y vibes. Why that one song sound like an orgy though.

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Mar 09 2026

Meh! Will need to try again another time.

Parklife by Blur
Mar 10 2026

Very British 90s.

Mar 12 2026

Ehhh. “Greenman” was super exciting for the first bit and then the lyrics kicked in. I think this would be a fun album if I was blitzed out of my gourd. I am unfortunately not. “Your Dictionary” was… cringey. Only didn’t skip because I needed to know how bad it would get. Had to start skipping songs after that.

Mar 13 2026

I enjoyed the energy of the first few tracks and he lost me a bit in the middle when it became more rap (but that’s because of my preferences).

Different Class by Pulp
Mar 15 2026

More fun version of 90s British rock than I expected. Yay!

Mar 16 2026

I actually already had one of their songs saved as one I liked but didn’t know it until I got to that point of the album, haha. Really interesting and electric album.

21 by Adele
Mar 17 2026

The way this album had society in a chokehold back in the day still reverberates in me because I am extremely susceptible to a lady who can absolutely belt it. Ilu Adele.

The Slider by T. Rex
Mar 18 2026

Fun! I can see how The Arctic Monkeys were maybe influenced by them.

Exile In Guyville by Liz Phair
Mar 20 2026

Enjoying more than I thought! Has such a familiar feel despite not having listened to Phair’s work before, which I guess goes to show what an influence she has had!

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Mar 21 2026

Eh. Enjoyed the first 1/3-1/2 and then I fell off.

Murmur by R.E.M.
Mar 23 2026
Rain Dogs by Tom Waits
Mar 26 2026

Wow. Reminded me of Glass Animals + Tom Cardy + absurdism. Felt like I needed to be on a fair amount of drugs to really appreciate this.

The Trinity Session by Cowboy Junkies
Mar 27 2026

I am a self-proclaimed not-a-country fan, but like Americana and folksy music… because I like to be contradictory or something, I guess. This is the soft kind of Americana/country I can get behind. Great for a soft evening.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Mar 28 2026

Liked more than I thought, but many also just ran together in my brain.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Mar 30 2026

I like her voice, but songs are meh. But good if you’re in a chill mood and doing some crafting, me would thinks.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Mar 31 2026

Meh! I enjoyed it just fine, but not my fave.

Fun House by The Stooges
Apr 01 2026

This was pretty fun! Not my usual jam, but good music to paint and clean to.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Apr 02 2026

Saddest soft boy. Classic example of a beautiful song that when you really pay attention to the lyrics you go, “Oh no.” Enjoyed the last instrumental a lot!

Survivor by Destiny's Child
Apr 08 2026

Start off strong, and then gets a little boring. The shoutout “ilu friends and also god” track was funny(?).

Odelay by Beck
Apr 09 2026

All over the place for my tastes rn.

Transformer by Lou Reed
Apr 11 2026

Quirky! (Non-derogatory)

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Apr 12 2026

These were fun, with a few standout tracks. Mixing was a bit wonky over car stereo.

Live! by Fela Kuti
Apr 13 2026

These songs are LONG but fun jams. (Fela seems to have a very impressive but complex history…)

Let It Be by The Replacements
Apr 16 2026

Some of the songs are a little too wild lyrics-wise for me. But the songs instrumentally were good!

Want One by Rufus Wainwright
Apr 17 2026

I enjoyed this even if it felt a little silly at times.

Apr 19 2026

Not normally my choice of music, but I was vibing with it this time.

Swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits
Apr 22 2026

I am always confused by this man. (Affectionate?)

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Apr 23 2026

Had some fun, but mostly bored.

Basket of Light by Pentangle
Apr 24 2026

Very late 60’s jamming trippy guitar musics. Nice to have on in the background, but I’m not overly wild about it. Kind of boring after a while for me. Enjoyed the xylophone in “Hunting Song” between the interweaving voices.

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Apr 25 2026

I did find some elements grating, but overall enjoyed the atmospheric vibes.

Le Tigre by Le Tigre
Apr 27 2026

Was getting some Japanese Breakfast vibes here. A bit grating but still fun.

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
Apr 28 2026

I appreciate his stamp on music history, but mind smooshes them all together when played all in a row. Sorry, Jimi.

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Apr 30 2026

Not what I was expecting. Chill background vibes.

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
May 02 2026

I can appreciate the lyrics and samples but I just don’t vibe with most of their sound… just not my style.

Back to Mystery City by Hanoi Rocks
May 03 2026

This was really fun. Very much enjoyed, it felt like a cleaner (like crispy and exciting) and more fun sound than other albums of the era we’ve been served up.

At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
May 04 2026

I like his sound a lot (heard some of his other work), but I didn’t find this live album the best for the majority of the songs. But DANG he’s got talent.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
May 05 2026

Late night sad boy musics. Not as great in the middle of the day and you don’t want to feel in a doldrum.

Pretenders by Pretenders
May 07 2026

Kind of meh for me! Some goodies in there.

Life Thru A Lens by Robbie Williams
May 08 2026

I have never heard this famous singer’s music before, I don’t think. I understand why this British Monkey Movie Man’s music has captured a lot of hearts. Clear voice, fun beats! Enjoyable fun.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
May 09 2026

Yeaaaaah dawg

Psychocandy by The Jesus And Mary Chain
May 10 2026

Nah.

Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt
May 11 2026

Ehhhh. Nah. Too avant-garde for me.

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
May 12 2026

Now THAT’S what I call cooking music.

Arrival by ABBA
May 13 2026

Heart hands and heart eyes.

Antichrist Superstar by Marilyn Manson
May 14 2026

I thought I would hate this. Instead I only disliked it! Nice.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
May 15 2026

Funky lil indie songs for me, thanks.

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
May 17 2026

Better than their sex album!

Sea Change by Beck
May 23 2026

Melancholy bois only. I enjoyed the backing music more than the lyrics. I’d give it a 2.5 but will round up to be nice.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
May 24 2026

Eh! A few goodies, otherwise one note for me.

GI by Germs
May 25 2026
This Is Fats Domino by Fats Domino
May 27 2026

I don’t think this links to the correct “album”, though and is instead a compilation playlist. Of which half the songs are not on Sp0tify… but found his eponymous album and enjoyed. Short, sweet, and fun.

Blackstar by David Bowie
May 30 2026

Shrugs.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jun 02 2026

Kind of generic but enjoyable enough.

Highly Evolved by The Vines
Jun 03 2026

Some of these were quite fun!

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Jun 04 2026

Not a Springsteen fan tbh

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Jun 06 2026

Good background work grind music

Microshift by Hookworms
Jun 07 2026

Knew from the very first song this would be a good work beats album.

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Jun 09 2026

I enjoyed this way more than his other featured album for some reason. Let’s shred!!!!

Heavy Weather by Weather Report
Jun 10 2026

I mean it was a banger starting off with Birdland soooo… (pep band nostalgia sorry lol). I really enjoyed a handful of these for late evening jamming. Others were v boring 80s hold music style tracks that made me feel like I was working at the garden store again, wanting to bash my head in. 3.5 stars. ❤️

Jun 12 2026

Why am I a little salty that Linda isn’t listed as one of the album artists? Anyway - opening track felt so familiar… like a predecessor, a less indie-whinging version of a band I’m having trouble naming. (The Decemberists????)

Jun 13 2026

Queen is always fun. Not sure I knew any of these except Killer Queen beforehand, but still fun.

Rings Around The World by Super Furry Animals
Jun 14 2026

I think if they stripped out some of the extra grating backing sounds it would have been a real set of bangers for me. But still enjoyable!

Revolver by Beatles
Jun 15 2026

I don’t mind this album tbh.

Headquarters by The Monkees
Jun 17 2026

Why are some of these songs so creepy? Why is this album so long? These dreadful questions weigh down the scant enjoyment I got from the songs I did like.

B-52's by The B-52's
Jun 20 2026

It’s an album!

Freak Out! by The Mothers Of Invention
Jun 21 2026

Boy howdy. Some gems in the funky.

Melodrama by Lorde
Jun 23 2026

This was my album, man. This rocked me and carried me through years.

Moss Side Story by Barry Adamson
Jun 24 2026

Cool concept. Had to look it up since it seemed very bizarre with no context lol.

Boy In Da Corner by Dizzee Rascal
Jun 25 2026

A lot more of these were more fun than I expected. Good beats. Too icky about women too much to get higher than a 2.5 for me.

Crime Of The Century by Supertramp
Jun 27 2026

Knew more than I thought! Enjoyable, but didn’t love. 3.5

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Jun 30 2026

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeahhhhh

No Other by Gene Clark
Jul 03 2026

Sad groovy folk beats.

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Jul 07 2026

It sure do be about love. Kinda creepy though sometimes, Ol’ Blue Eyes.

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
Jul 08 2026

What a fun concept album! Enjoyed all the sampling (minus the horny one).

Smokers Delight by Nightmares On Wax
Jul 10 2026

Would be excellent background music during a dinner gathering and conversation, or if I was in a deep focus work fugue. But I was in neither so it was just fine.

Jul 11 2026

So far I am not drowning in harmonica, which I appreciate it. Dylan is such an amazing lyricist. Very enjoyable. (3.5, rounded up)

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
Jul 13 2026

Pleasantly surprised but not my fave.

Black Monk Time by The Monks
Jul 16 2026

Only one song on the sp0tify, so will need to revisit or do a YouTube search.

Guitar Town by Steve Earle
Jul 17 2026

Just fine, not my fave genre.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Jul 18 2026

Smooth flow. Iconic. Not my vibe though.

Blood, Sweat & Tears by Blood, Sweat & Tears
Jul 22 2026

Quite enjoyed some, others were just fine.

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jul 23 2026

No

A Northern Soul by The Verve
Jul 24 2026

Nothing too exciting for me, but enjoyable enough!

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
